1999 Mazda B4000 SE V6 P0153, P1151, P0174 Trouble Codes - O2 Sensor or Vacuum Leak Diagnosis?

Model: 1999 Mazda B4000 SE V6 Fault Code: B4000 Posted: 2008-02-05 18:28

I'm experiencing three trouble codes on my 1999 Mazda B4000 SE V6: 1. P0153 - Oxygen Sensor Circuit Slow Response (Bank 2, Sensor 1) 2. P1151 - Fuel Air Metering Issue 3. P0174 - System Too Lean Bank 2 I've already cleaned the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor and no other obvious issues have been found. The truck runs smoothly and has accumulated 111,000 miles. Given this, I'm wondering if these codes are simply due to aging oxygen sensors or another underlying issue like a vacuum leak. Any insights on how to diagnose or resolve these codes would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 98 b4000 that had a p0153 code ,It turned out to be a bad thermostat. It wasn't getting up to full temp. I replaced it and the code hasn't come back in 6 months. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. I have visually checked for vacume leaks and plan to check the injectors. The temp has been very low, I flushed the old brown coolant and I will install a new thermostat. I hope to post positive results. Thanks again!
