P0112 OBD2 Code on 1999 Jeep Cherokee: Sensor Replaced but Code Returns Immediately
I'm experiencing a recurring P0112 diagnostic trouble code on my 1999 Jeep Cherokee. I've already replaced the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor, yet the code returns as soon as I drive just 3 feet. The OBD-II scanner I currently use does not provide live sensor data, so I'm planning to order an ElmScan 5 shortly to monitor real-time values. Does anyone have any troubleshooting tips for this persistent P0112 issue? Could it be a wiring problem or another underlying fault despite replacing the correct sensor?
If you've replaced the correct Intake Air Temperature sensor, a broken or loose wire in the circuit is a likely cause of the recurring P0112 code.
