1999 Ford Fleetwood V10 Engine Fault Codes P0351, P0352, P0353, P0354, P0355 with Only 21,000 Miles

Model: 1999 Fleetwood Fault Code: P0351 Posted: 2014-09-25 20:11

I own a 1999 Ford Fleetwood equipped with a Ford V10 engine. The vehicle has only 21,000 miles and runs smoothly, but exhibits significantly reduced power. The onboard diagnostic system is showing fault codes P0351, P0352, P0353, P0354, and P-0355. According to the owner's manual, there is a safety feature that disables up to five spark coils if the engine overheats—this may be related to the current codes. However, I cannot find any method to reset this protective function. Can anyone confirm whether this is a known issue or provide guidance on how to diagnose and resolve it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check for 12 volts at the spark coil terminals #1 through #5 when using a key-off engine test (KOEO). Ensure all coil connectors are securely attached, tight, and free from corrosion. Loose or damaged connections can trigger these P035x codes even if the engine is otherwise running fine.
