1999 Blazer P0452 Code: No Start After Intake and Plenum Gasket Replacement

Model: 1999 Blazer Fault Code: P0452 Posted: 2018-01-21 12:07

I recently replaced the intake and plenum gaskets on my 1999 Blazer. The vehicle ran smoothly before the repair. However, after the work, it will not start and now displays a P0452 diagnostic trouble code. I'm unsure what steps to take next to resolve this issue. Could the gasket replacement be causing the P0452 code? What should I check or replace to fix this?

The service engine light was on prior to repair. It was initially diagnosed as a faulty intake gasket, so I replaced both the intake and plenum gaskets. The vehicle ran fine before the work. After replacement, it now shows a P0452 code on my OBD2 scanner. How can this be resolved? Is there a connection between the gasket change and the P0452 code?

https://www.obd-codes.com/p0456\nFirst, double-check your work — a P0452 code should not directly cause a no-start condition. Verify that all connections are secure and the vacuum lines are properly installed after gasket replacement.

I've verified the electrical system — I have 12 volts at the pink wire to the coil. What else should I inspect? Is there a possibility of a sensor or wiring issue related to the evaporative emissions system?

I own a 1999 Lumina and am also experiencing a P0452 code. The vehicle starts fine but exhibits fuel starvation symptoms, such as misfiring and poor performance. How can I diagnose and fix this issue?
