1998 Honda Passport OBD2 Codes C0252, C0246, C0237, P0300, P0706, P0235 - Engine Stalls, Poor Idle, Won't Rev Beyond 2000 RPM
I have a 1998 Honda Passport with a 3.2L V6 engine and automatic 2WD transmission. I recently had the vehicle towed to Orielly for OBD2 code reading after it suddenly became undrivable while driving. The car is now running poorly—idle is rough, and it will not rev past 1500–2000 RPM. After reaching that point, it starts backfiring, drops power significantly, and either stalls or returns to idle. No power is available during operation. The diagnostic codes retrieved are: C0252, C0246, C0237, P0300, P0706, and P0235. These issues appeared suddenly with no prior warning or previous error codes. I am experienced in OBD2 diagnostics and have worked on vehicles regularly, but this combination of symptoms and codes is beyond my current troubleshooting experience. I'm looking for expert advice on how to interpret these specific codes and what components might be failing. Any insights into the root cause—especially related to fuel delivery, ignition timing, or transmission control—would be greatly appreciated.
