P0756 OBD2 Code in 1998 Chevrolet K1500 5.0L with 4L60E Transmission - Recurring Issue After Solenoid Replacement

Model: 1998 Chevy K1500 5.0L Fault Code: P0756 Posted: 2018-08-29 13:17

I own a 1998 Chevrolet K1500 equipped with a 5.0L (305ci) V8 engine and a 4L60E transmission. Approximately three months ago, I replaced the A and B solenoids in the transmission, changed the filter, and flushed the transmission fluid. After that, everything functioned normally. About a month ago, the vehicle began exhibiting recurring symptoms — such as delayed gear shifts and hesitation during acceleration — followed by the engine light illuminating with the P0756 diagnostic trouble code (DTC). I immediately replaced the transmission fluid and reinstalled both A and B solenoids. This resolved the issue for about a week. However, the same symptoms returned unexpectedly, and the check engine light again displayed the P075-56 code. Despite these efforts, the problem persists. I'm seeking advice on what could be causing this recurring failure. The A/B solenoids are typically expected to last significantly longer than a few weeks under normal conditions. Could there be another underlying issue in the 4L60E transmission system that I'm missing? Any insights or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated.
