Hi everyone, my 1997 Nissan Sentra has been sitting for 6-8 months. After driving a few miles, it triggered the P1441 diagnostic code. I'm not sure where to begin troubleshooting this issue. Any advice on what the P1441 code means and how to resolve it would be greatly appreciated.

P1441 refers to the Vacuum Cut Valve Bypass Valve, which is part of the EVAP (Evaporative Emission Control) system. If your car has been idle for an extended period, the valve may have stiffened due to inactivity. Try erasing the code using an OBD2 scanner and then drive the vehicle regularly. If the code returns, it could indicate a persistent issue with the EVAP system or vacuum line integrity.

I cleared the P1441 code and started driving daily, but the code keeps returning. I also replaced the fuel cap, yet the problem persists. Any additional suggestions or possible causes for this recurring issue would be very helpful.
