1997 jeep cherokee country has a p0700 code

Model: 1997 Jeep Cherokee Country Fault Code: P0700 Posted: 2016-08-08 23:01

my 1997 jeep cherokee has a p0700 code and I'm trying to figure out what it could be.I went and got the transmission range sensor for my jeep but I'm wondering if it could be something else besides that.It shifts into gear ok with the shifter but when I'm driving it is as if the transmission slips within gears.

be sure to SCAN for codes the key dance is lacking. check fuses, underhood PDC and fuse box.

check trans fluid, check fuses underhood and in vehicle. Any recent work - no remote starter or any aftermarket electronics added?

There has been nothing added to my jeep and the only work that's been done on it is when a part goes bad it gets changed but other then that nothing else has been done to it
