P0135 O2 Sensor Fault in 1996 Honda Civic - Persistent After Replacement
My 1996 Honda Civic with engine code D16Y7 is showing only the P0135 diagnostic trouble code. Both oxygen sensors and the catalytic converter have been replaced, yet the code persists even after clearing it using a diagnostic tool or removing the fuse and leaving it out for 5 to 10 minutes. I've checked for other potential issues but found nothing else abnormal. Any suggestions or insights on how to resolve this P0135 issue in my 1996 Honda Civic? Thank you.
Did you replace the oxygen sensors and catalytic converter for correct compatibility? Have you verified the sensor heater circuit is functioning properly? Make sure you used a genuine Honda O2 sensor, as aftermarket parts may not work correctly with this model.
