1996 Ford Windstar ODB code: P1443
Hello, I have a Check Engine light and it shows code: P1443 "Evaporative Emission System Control Value (low/no flow) Can anyone show me how to fix this issue? After doing some research seems there's not enough flow through the purge flow sensor from the canister purge solenoid ? thanks!
P1443 Engine started, engine warmup completed engine running at a steady cruise speed, and the PCM detected a leak or blockage was present somewhere in the vapor line between the intake manifold, EVAP purge valve and the charcoal canister during the Continuous self test. 3.0L or 3.8L Possible Causes: •* EVAP canister purge valve is damaged or has failed •* PF sensor is out-of-calibration or it is "skewed" •* PCM has failed •* Blocked fuel vapor hose between the EVAP canister purge valve and the fuel tank pressure (FTP) sensor •* Blocked fuel vapor hose between the EVAP canister purge valve and the engine intake manifold •* Blocked vacuum hose between the EVAP canister purge valve solenoid and the engine intake manifold •* EVAP canister purge valve mechanically stuck closed
