1996 Chrysler Sebring conv 2.4 P0340
can some one please help me with a problem with my 1996 Chrysler Sebring conv 2.4. While I'm driving at high way speeds my car gives me all the signs that it stalled engine light on rpm fall to zero but the engine is still running also there is no response from the gas pedal. It some times stalls. I replaced the cam position sensor and it still does the same thing. Today while I was letting it run it stalled and gave me the P0340 code. Has anyone ever experienced any thing like this?
HI ¡ Actually, the code says you are having problems with the cam sensor, these is the Camshaft position sensor.. The stall and the non-signal rpm is caused by these faulty code. You should check the cam sensor, is located on the top of the engine near the cams, it could be at the left or at the right top engine side; check the wiring harness that is attached to the CAM sensor, check if it is not broken or dammaged. If your wiring is ok you can have a problem on the CAM sensor and you will have to change it.. These will resolve the faulty problem... ¡¡¡
