2007 Chevrolet Cobalt SS P0171 Code: Diagnosis and Fixes for Lean Mix Ratio
I own a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt SS with a supercharged engine. I've been struggling to eliminate the P0171 diagnostic trouble code, which indicates a lean air-fuel mixture in the intake system. This is currently the only code being triggered by the vehicle. I have already replaced the Mass Airflow Sensor (MAS), the fuel filter, and the spark plugs. A professional mechanic has also inspected the vehicle for vacuum leaks and exhaust leaks, with no issues found. The mechanic suggested replacing the fuel injector O-rings as a potential next step. I'm seeking advice from other owners of this model—any insights or additional troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated.
I plan to install a vacuum hose kit to replace all vacuum hoses, as leaks in the intake system can trigger P0171 on a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt SS.
