2006 Cadillac CTS DTC P2187 and P2189 with P0300, P0301, P0303 Codes: Lean Mixtures and Misfire Diagnosis

I recently purchased a 2006 Cadillac CTS with the following diagnostic trouble codes: P2187 (Lean Bank 1), P2189 (Lean Bank 2), and misfire codes P0300, P0301, P0303. The same lean-related codes are pending — including P0304 and P0306 — but there are no active codes for P0303 or P0305. I suspect a fuel delivery issue, possibly a failing fuel pump or clogged fuel filter. As I plan to install a fuel pressure gauge soon, could someone please advise on the proper procedure and expected fuel pressure reading during a KOEO (Key On, Engine Off) test? Additionally, what are the recommended steps for conducting a leak-down test? Any insights or experiences with this specific combination of codes in a 2006 CTS would be greatly appreciated. The P2187 and P2189 codes indicate lean conditions in Bank 1 and Bank 2 of the engine. This lean condition can trigger misfire codes like P030x. Start by checking for vacuum leaks — use the traditional spray bottle method (carb cleaner) to quickly identify any intake leaks. Clean the Mass Airflow Sensor (MAF), as a dirty MAF can cause incorrect air readings and lead to lean mixtures. Avoid using K&N-style air filters, as they may interfere with airflow sensing. There is a dedicated fuel rail connection point for installing a fuel pressure gauge. During a KOEO test, record the initial pressure reading and monitor how quickly it drops over time (e.g., 8 psi drop within 5 minutes). A significant pressure loss could indicate a failing fuel pump or leak in the system. Note: The engine is a 3.6L V6 — please confirm this if you're familiar with the model.
