2005 Ford F250 6.0 Diesel: P2285 & P2286 DTCs Cause Warm-Weather Engine Disablement After Cold Start
I own a 2005 Ford F250 6.0L diesel engine, and I'm consistently receiving Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) P2285 and P2286. I've already replaced both the Injector Control Pressure (ICP) sensor and the pedal position sensor, but the issue persists. The truck runs smoothly when cold, but as it warms up, the engine begins to trigger both codes simultaneously. When this happens, the accelerator and transmission are disabled—resulting in the vehicle sitting idle with no power. The only solution I've found is to shut off the engine, let it cool down completely, then restart. After cooling, the truck operates normally until it heats up again. Any insights into what might be causing this behavior or potential next steps for diagnosis?
