2004 Safari P0200 Code & Misfire #6 - Diagnosis and Fixes
I own a 2004 Safari and recently replaced the spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel pump, and injectors. The car ran fine for one day, but the next day it triggered code P0200 and a misfire on cylinder #6. I'm now looking for reliable troubleshooting steps—this issue is both frustrating and costly to resolve. Any insights or common causes would be greatly appreciated.
I suspect the code might actually be P0306, indicating an issue with cylinder #6 injector wiring. Possible problems: 1) The injector is constantly grounded, causing continuous fuel spraying at crankshaft position (KOEO). 2) A circuit open—no 12V supply to the injector driver circuit. To test: unplug the injector connector and inspect for clean, tight pin connections. Are you familiar with using a digital multimeter (DVOM)? Note: At the injector, the pink wire should always have 12V. Each injector has a different colored driver wire—this helps identify which one is responsible.
