2004 Nissan G35 6-Speed Manual: PO327 & P011 Codes After Clutch and Flywheel Replacement

Model: 04 G35 6 MT Fault Code: P0327 Posted: 2015-05-15 12:29

I own a 2004 Nissan G35 6-speed manual transmission coupe. After replacing the clutch and flywheel at 133,000 miles, I received the vehicle back the same day. Shortly after, the 'Service Engine Soon' light activated. The repair shop reported OBD-II diagnostic codes PO327 and P011, stating these are unrelated to the clutch or flywheel work. This is concerning because the check engine light has never come on before. Is there a technical connection between the transmission rebuild and these codes? Or is this simply a coincidence? Any insights or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated.

Positive thinking — check engine oil level and condition. The code might be a temporary out-of-tolerance issue related to the clutch repair. Please update if the problem returns.

The transmission shop cleared the codes this morning, but they reappeared about one hour later. I've now taken it to my regular mechanic. Oil levels and condition are normal. While on the lift, he inspected all sensor connections and found no looseness or issues. Codes were cleared again. Still waiting for further diagnosis. Any suggestions if the light comes back? Thanks.

The 'PS' (Power Steering) warning light came on as I was driving away — possibly related to a sensor or system issue after the transmission work.

Consider starting with P0011 camshaft position timing issue. Reference: https://www.obd-codes.com/p0011

Thanks, Kev2 — this matches my symptoms of poor idle and occasional stalling. I'll update the thread once my mechanic completes a full diagnostic.
