well, it basically is a swastika on wheels
> Germany's 10 least respected companies in 2025 > Organisation/Reputation/Change from 2024 1. McDonalds 3.17 (0.01) 2. Deutsche Bank 3.14 (-0.02) 3. Volkswagen 3.05 4. Meta 2.95 (-0.28) 5. Kik 2.94 (-0.09) 6. Temu 2.76 (0.14) 7. Deutsche Bahn 2.68 (0.13) 8. Nestle 2.56 (-0.10) 9. Shein 2.51 (0.15) 10. Tesla 2.48 (-0.77) Tesla didn't just come last, it also had the worst decline compared to 2024.
Well deserved, I might add!
When you are even worse than deutsche Bahn you know you fckd up
Europe’s reaction to Elons actions on that stage are quite different to Americas. For obvious reasons.
Bullish
Bro worse than Nestlé
I gotta get some context here, what did they do?
Suck
Surprised to find Volkswagen on this list. Is it still dieselgate? Or because they move manufacturing to China?
Not just in Germany.
Partially the aftermath of Dieselgate but they also threatened to close several factories and fire tens of thousands of workers and love to whine and complain a lot and ask for government handouts while at the same time pay billions in dividends to their shareholders.
Supporting AFD really did a number.
Last time I was in Germany was just before the US election. Tesla vehicles were everywhere. Musk buried himself with his post election antics. I speak with my German team at least 3 times a week. He went from being well respected to hated faster than what seemed possible.
Who knew being a Nazi in Germany would be unpopular?
Also by a pretty wide margin, apparently.
I continue to be shocked that Tesla sales haven’t fallen even more than they have.
Every year the german trains are more unpunctual and more expensive
Nestle‘s CEO once suggested that water should be in private ownership, as in either paying Nestle for it or dying of dehydration.
Public transit by train is notoriously bad in germany
Enough to warrant a dedicated Wikipedia page: [Controversies of Nestlé](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Controversies_of_Nestl%C3%A9). Edit: my bad I thought you’d replied to another comment. If you meant Deutsche Bank, here’s a summary of their [controversies](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deutsche_Bank#Controversies).
A Hitler salute...twice. And supporting the Nazi Adjacent AfD. (They like to call it an "autistic Roman salute.)
It sounds like they have yet to meet Comcast. It's really impressive to me how many people allow US regulatory to ignore Comcast and all the abuse they give their customers. A company like Comcast can't operate in Germany, they would have competition and Comcast would fold. Maybe eu regulatory is going to wake up and kick out Tesla, maybe more musk companies too.
Uh, sorry, I meant the other company, I know all too well what musk has done. Not as familiar with the rep of the others (at least off the top of my head), I'm American :s
Thank you so much for the explanation! Yeah, I do know vaguely about needle basically being comically evil, but not about Deutsche Bank as an American. Thanks for tossing up some lists, these will go into the "eff em," pile. Largely just ask in case people had personal anecdotes of what had gone on. No idea how that bank stands out among the crowd lmao
It is? I hadn't heard that rep. I assume that's the company running it then
My mistake.
All chill, sorry for not wording my question better :)
I mean they did shut down the factory that was building the etron/q8 etron on (by EU/industry standards) zero notice. That was in Brussels though from what I remember.
AfD have been consistently the highest party in the polls for some time
Because not as many people care as you think
Probably they don't buy enough Teslas to offset the others.
Yet another Reddit-bubble affirmation bullshit. Just go to Germany and see how many Teslas are there, they are everywhere
Still too high tbh
Not really. Sure, they are around, but they are a minor player. Recently, their numbers have been comparable to Mitsubishi which is not doing all that great in Germany. And among cars officially sold in Germany it is really mostly sports car and true luxury brands that sell fewer cars.
