Bullish!

Theferael_me 2025-12-30 19:45

$TSLA to the Moon!

SunshineSeattle 2025-12-30 19:46

Dan Ives has them at $600, so lets say $700 a share!!!

PKnecron 2025-12-30 19:47

"We're going bankrupt. And not just morally." - Stock up 500%

Ultraeasymoney 2025-12-30 19:48

Rookie numbers, I bet Mama Cathy is saying $2000/share.

BringBackUsenet 2025-12-30 19:54

To Mars! Last Year!

luv2block 2025-12-30 20:04

It's shocking they only dropped 8% yoy. I would have thought giving a nazi salute and trying to take over (buy) the US government would cost you at least 20%, but apparently not.

AcadiaLivid2582 2025-12-30 20:12

In fairness (?), Tesla really leaned on the demand levers with things like 0% financing, and the looming end of the EV tax credit accelerated sales (and cannibalized future sales).

FreudianYipYip 2025-12-30 20:17

“CEO Elon Musk is burning all current inventory of vehicles, and will piss on shareholders, and by that we mean he will literally empty his bladder by urinating on anyone who buys TSLA stock.” TSLA up 35%.

mishap1 2025-12-30 20:25

I suspect this # is to lower expectations and they'll still miss that absent any funky math they'll do (anyone thinking they'll buy thousands of cars for "planned" Robotaxi rollouts?). They already have dozens of "used" cars with only delivery miles on them listed for sale w/ used car lots. They're definitely registering cars as sold and reselling cars onto auction channels to dump inventory and claim it was a delivery.

za72 2025-12-30 20:27

we're gonna have datacenters in Earth's orbit though... 14 months, so hang on to your Tesla stocks boys

I heard space is cold! BRILLIANT IDEA! What's heat transfer?

spam__likely 2025-12-30 20:33

sad

EconomicMasterpiece 2025-12-30 20:33

Mama Cathy has started selling her position, which should say a lot.

za72 2025-12-30 20:35

those service calls are gonna be so inexpensive and cheap, and you know nothing ever goes wrong at a datacenter... that's why we'll have Optimus robots doing all the labor, now fund me

Difficult_Limit2718 2025-12-30 20:36

TSLA +18%!!!!

prsnep 2025-12-30 20:36

[When reality bites, you gotta overdose on hope.](https://insideevs.com/news/783069/tesla-analysts-project-double-ev-sales-by-2029/) Financial analysts should be required to disclose their IRA returns.

PantsMicGee 2025-12-30 20:36

And still didn't do anything good for their sales or cars to justify their price.

AcadiaLivid2582 2025-12-30 20:38

Surely you're not implying that the Apocalypse-proof™ Cybertruck isn't worth $110,000?!?

lump77777 2025-12-30 20:39

I agree, but that 8% decline looks a lot worse when you consider that the overall EV market grew 25-30% over the same time period. 8% *growth* would have been disappointing in this market. 8% decline is a trainwreck.

FreshPrinceOfH 2025-12-30 20:41

To the moon!

EconomyDoctor3287 2025-12-30 20:41

Time for SpaceX to buy more cyberstucks! To da moon and beyond 🚀

BigMax 2025-12-30 20:51

"My army of robots is going to build it!"

DisastrousIncident75 2025-12-30 20:52

This could be a diversion from the fact that they might be losing money this quarter. So they’re trying to lower estimates to be able to claim a beat, which would divert attention from an actual loss.

laser14344 2025-12-30 21:02

TBF undersea data centers are already a thing. Great for cooling actually.

[deleted] 2025-12-30 21:06

Yeah - Musk has always been a snake oil salesman, but his snake oil is getting more and more outlandish. Orbital datacenters will **never** be a smart play - they are inferior to terrestrial datacenters in every way that could possibly matter. Any other CEO that made such a claim would have been laughed out of the room.

[deleted] 2025-12-30 21:08

Sure, but as you point out using the ocean as a heatsink is actually viable. Cooling things in space is really, really hard. The ISS has a problem with heat dissipation, not heat retention. Cooling things in space will always be harder than cooling them on Earth - that is just physics. Not to mention all of the other ways that an orbital data center would be inferior to a terestrial one.

What ad blocker do u use to read this?

metalanimal 2025-12-30 21:27

At this point we shouldn't be correlating tesla sales with the stock price. They are not related at all for meme stocks.

za72 2025-12-30 21:35

pushing humanity forward... if it was a hana barbara cartoon

[deleted] 2025-12-30 21:37

The reality is that TSLA is almost entirely based on hype at this point. Musk keeps pitching these scifi ideas that he can't make reality, and the only path forward is to keep pitching them so no one pays attention to the failure of a company TSLA has become. The problem is that he is running out of ideas that are even remotely plausible. Hence orbital data centers.

boofles1 2025-12-30 21:49

They seem to have doubled their Cybertruck sales somehow, we know SpaceX bougfht 1000s of them maybe Twitter and xAI also own cybertrucks now.

Queasy_Donkey5685 2025-12-30 22:00

Gotta be easier to build them in orbit instead of wherever Terrestria is.

ILikeCatsAndSquids 2025-12-30 22:02

He looks as ridiculous as he sounds. Who dresses him?

SunshineSeattle 2025-12-30 22:05

I think its the peacock theory in action but in the sphere of finance, essentially any press is good press https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peacocking

luv2block 2025-12-30 22:13

Just looked into it and you're right. But if we use more conservative numbers, the industry globally grew 21%... so my gut feeling of a 20% drop in sales was kind of in the ballpark as Tesla underperformed the market growth baseline by 28%. Maybe that's why they pushed these numbers out early. They are pushing an "8%" decline narrative, when in reality it's a 28% decline (or put differently, an 8% YOY decline in Tesla sales, and then another 20% growth-equivalent loss of market share to other vendors).

alphamd4 2025-12-30 22:17

They are not a car company so why are they selling cars lol

daveo18 2025-12-30 22:31

Imagine how bad the real numbers must be

hd8383 2025-12-30 22:39

How else would they be able to prioritize building those highly profitable robots?!?!?

PantsMicGee 2025-12-30 22:51

Might as well be 1 Billion! SpacEx can afford it, surely.

blackpawed 2025-12-30 22:54

Wait shit, that was an actual Musk claim, not sarcasm?!

ctei0421 2025-12-30 23:06

Musk est maintenant devenu peu populaire en Europe. Et beaucoup d'entreprises et particuliers ne renouvelleront pas l'expérience à cause de l'engagement politique de Musk.

Queasy-Protection-50 2025-12-30 23:20

Maybe because Tesla is basically a sham company at this point that has help manipulating the stock market

Jaguarmadillo 2025-12-30 23:30

Not sure about that. She’s underperformed the S&P by more than my dog. If she’s selling, I’d be concerned it’s a buy signal (not that Tesler ever looks a buy to a non-cult member)

FlipZip69 2025-12-30 23:55

Not only that. They got a one time boost to take advantage subsidies ending. Along with that they had been significantly lowering prices which go directly against profits. Would not surprise me if they are in the red next year.

Tim-in-CA 2025-12-31 00:03

It will probably be much worse.

team_ti 2025-12-31 00:39

Oh come now! Robot AI Crypto porn space data centers!!! STRONG BUY!!!! 🚀 🚀 🚀

Flat-Opening-7067 2025-12-31 01:15

Tesla’s primary focus these days is on Marketing its vision for the future. Much easier than making and selling stuff and you can’t argue with the results.

Traditional-Ebb-8380 2025-12-31 01:19

Pretty good for a Cramer protégé.

Wild-Style5857 2025-12-31 01:22

The stock was trading low $200's around the time he was publicly doing Nazi salutes so at $450 EOY they are doing great!  No need to work and flying cars for everyone, next year!

TaifmuRed 2025-12-31 01:25

Billions of tesla robots are coming !

EnvironmentalClue218 2025-12-31 01:29

Preset expectations with dismal numbers so bad numbers will be a beat. Stock goes up.

ryan_dfs 2025-12-31 01:29

It’s a way of turning a really bad miss into a slighly less terrible miss. This type of stuff is NEVER done by accident ever.

Less-Explanation160 2025-12-31 02:18

And dancing robots. Don’t forget the dancing robots

RipWhenDamageTaken 2025-12-31 02:23

What?

RipWhenDamageTaken 2025-12-31 02:35

What only dropped 8%? Sales?

RipWhenDamageTaken 2025-12-31 02:36

TSLA shareholders having a piss kink isn’t surprising

ClassicT4 2025-12-31 03:03

We’re having a fire!… ^sale.

crappydeli 2025-12-31 03:16

The play is they pre report really low numbers so when the actual numbers come in slightly higher, they came in over expectations. Stock up 50%.

laser14344 2025-12-31 03:21

I absolutely do not remember replying that wtf

UnicornGangstar 2025-12-31 03:30

What’s the sun?

[deleted] 2025-12-31 03:37

Full Space Datacenter-- should be ready "next year."

stinusprobus 2025-12-31 04:28

Optimus will buy the Teslas

ProdigalSheep 2025-12-31 05:21

SpaceX is just going to become a bottomless, taxpayer-funded slush fund to buy up Tesla inventory. He has already done this with the Cybertruck. This man is a criminal who belongs in prison.

Commercial_Tough160 2025-12-31 05:43

Not gloomy to me, I tells ya! I think it just might be the change I’ve been looking for.

Sharkwatcher314 2025-12-31 06:15

Sweet good news to buy the stock. I sometimes feel like the Tesla stock price is like that episode of Seinfeld where George tries to purposefully get fired to no avail Like there’s someone high up in Tesla trying to short the stock and doing Everythjng to lower the price. But to no avail.

blackpawed 2025-12-31 07:11

Jebus fuck, its depressing that there are people who actually believe this shit.

za72 2025-12-31 08:00

People have bet their retirement on this guys stories

jimmy-jro 2025-12-31 13:00

Most stupid car company ever, good thing they put a 100% tariff on BYD

Olive_Streamer 2025-12-31 13:12

Don't worry, Elon will install bitcoin mining software in every car, for free, it will pay out in about a year.

Chokedee-bp 2025-12-31 13:20

Car Sales down, so Tesla stock up! Erryday

ArQ7777 2025-12-31 15:07

Not really. Elon announced it yesterday and TSLA down 1.5%. Today it is basically flat in 40 minutes of trading. I think it will turn red in the afternoon.

LowInteraction9422 2025-12-31 17:22

Line go up

ionizing_chicanery 2025-12-31 17:31

Her portfolio is indexed on percentages she made up a long time ago that don't mean anything. And she's constantly rebalancing.

[deleted] 2025-12-31 17:36

the less they sell they more they make!

LancelLannister_AMA 2025-12-31 20:16

Kissing musk

laser14344 2025-12-31 22:58

Not entirely sure but I don't think it's a good source of cooling.

Ok_Subject1265 2025-12-31 23:14

You can be snarky all you want, but the vacuum of space would obviously suck up all the heat. That why it’s called a vacuum. Imagine if Musk could find a way to harness the power of that vacuum and sell it in a commercial unit on Earth? Dyson Technologies is worth $6 billion, but if Elon had Optimus robots equipped with space vacuums, he would have a company worth at least… double… that.

Legal-Actuary4537 2026-01-01 00:42

Troy Teslike forecasts 414k units in Q4 2025 [https://x.com/TroyTeslike](https://x.com/TroyTeslike)

[deleted] 2026-01-01 04:42

Thank God their board agreed to pay Elon trillion dollars for all his good work and great financial results. When is someone going to sue the board for not forfilling their fiduciary obligations?

Street-Badger 2026-01-01 12:45

It has to be a mixture of apolitical private people (‘idiots’, in Greek) and the merely misinformed.  Also some self-dealing eg to spacex.

Street-Badger 2026-01-01 12:48

As an AI company, they should now wrap up the consumer auto business since it is about to become a money sink anyways.  Why sell cars at a loss if you’re not a car company?

Busy-Explanation4339 2026-01-02 08:06

Did nazi that coming.

Plus_Boysenberry_844 2026-01-03 17:41

How gloomy?
