Tesla Update Vs Rivian Update

The overlays on the dashcam footage will provide some fodder for this subreddit as people post FSD fuckups which include actual evidence that FSD was engaged.

Tesla has had phone key for like 8 years, watch app for a couple years now, and UWB since 2023 MX refresh glad Rivian's catching up. Lmk when Rivian makes a 40k car. Tesla hasnt updated their stuff in years tho, so I agree Tesla is behind in tech, no carplay, buggy driver assist, and silly updates. It won't take long for rivian to surpass Tesla if they keep it up.

Waiting for xAI enhanced footage - takes your FSD crash footage and replaces it with AI footage of you as an impaired reckless driver.

I'd def 10000% would like to see my Tesla keys accessible in Apple Wallet. Didn't know this was possible without adopting CarPlay.

Reality is that most Tesla users (outside of America and/or HW3) didn’t get anything interesting this holiday update.

Some guy rolled up into our supercharger and put on that light show mode it was... Obnoxious. There was probably 8 of us charging. He must have got the hint because he turned it off after like 2 minutes.

First time Tesla owner here… the Holiday update was kinda weak sauce in my opinion. Best features for me… dog mode feature with live updates, navigation settings changes, and the phone left behind feature. I’d like to see improvements to the basic autopilot, as other manufacturers are catching up.

I use FSD for most of the last 39,000 miles. It is the most amazing technology and no one else has anything like it as far as I know. It gets goofy on navigation sometimes. it has traffic awareness and has rerouted me several times to avoid traffic jams that I would not have had any idea.

Phone key isn’t the same as being able to add one to the wallet app.

I think the auto HOV lane detection is cool and useful. Why not go HOV if you detect 3 folks in the car!

Ummm so features Tesla already had and it’s amazing because rivian just got it? Clowns out here, Both great cars but give credit where credit is due. Just like Apple phones. Android had features that were absent on IPhones for YEARRRS then IPhone users thought it was revolutionary. Different integrations but same function. Relax people, Some people arrive first and everyone else catches up.
