The powerwall recall is not getting the financial attention is deserves, it's going to be a very big loss.

HoleInWon929 2025-12-03 12:46

It was such a good idea too. Too bad Elon was in charge.

UniversityFlimsy8499 2025-12-03 13:18

Tesla stocks is about to go up 5% on this news lol

BringBackUsenet 2025-12-03 14:17

It DEEPENS! Wow how much does it DEEPEN?

BringBackUsenet 2025-12-03 14:18

What loss? They don't care what the company actually does because the stock only goes up.

TheMegaDriver2 2025-12-03 14:23

Loss? So stock goes up I guess.

jatufin 2025-12-03 14:26

This is good for Tesla /s

Prodigalsunspot 2025-12-03 14:57

Yup. Because the rubes keep thinking Tesla is a car company or a power wall company...they just don't understand it's the first corporation to monopolize the burgeoning vibes economy! Behold...[Teslawocky!](https://youtu.be/knAvKI33LOM?si=6AFe71WpfScG0_dI)

Secret-Revolution172 2025-12-03 15:06

Negative news, stock is up. POS

Aromatic_Base_3749 2025-12-03 15:18

We have successfully lowered maintenance costs on thousands of power walls. Stock price Up! /s

MarchMurky8649 2025-12-03 15:23

There is a problem looming if, as seems likely, earnings go negative. S&P 500 rules allow removal once this happens. They often leave stock in despite this but I have a feeling they can see it is severely overvalued and will want it out.

Basement_Chicken 2025-12-03 16:31

But... but... they are hiring remote cybercab and robot operators...

curiousitymdg 2025-12-03 16:31

Of course Tesla isn’t going to say anything. That would disturb FElon Musk and his bid for an obscene pay package.

Sanpaku 2025-12-03 16:50

I expect Tesla to report at least 4 Qs of negative GAAP earnings, between loss of regulatory credit revenue and pull-forward of 2026 demand due to expiring tax credits. But there's about 0 probability of index removal. Boeing has had just 2 quarters of positive GAAP earnings in the last 20, and they're still in.

MarchMurky8649 2025-12-03 17:23

Do you think the members of the Index Committee are likely to think Boeing is orders of magnitude overvalued, though? Or Intel, or any of the other stock they leave in despite negative earnings? They probably think it would be more destabilizing to remove those so leave them in. But at c. 20 times market cap of Enron at its peak, if they can see collapse is likely, why would they want to leave it in there? You may be right and p<1 but why p=0? This stock is in a category of its own when it comes to being ridiculously overvalued!

flame_Refuse_808 2025-12-03 17:48

I am shocked that it goes up 3% with bad news

BkkPla 2025-12-03 18:59

Ah ..the $17 pump today explained. Bad news never fails

ObjectOtherwise2391 2025-12-03 19:08

yeah...NO :))) the model Y is the most sold EV in europe.... i think 5 years in a row. All those Tesla killers keep dying lmao

zedk47 2025-12-03 19:12

OK. Stock up 4%

SocialJusticeAndroid 2025-12-03 20:10

musk has thoroughly debunked the idea that capitalism is meritocratic.

rellett 2025-12-03 20:28

elon has found the cheat code for real life, cybertruck fail stock up, rockets blow up stock goes up, fsd scam stock goes up, ai crap stock goes up. I have to give him credit for failing upwards

ctlogin 2025-12-03 20:53

free4all2see 2025-12-03 21:01

That trillion dollar payout is looking kind of shaky now.

Quick, someone give him an extra Trillion dollars so he can stay half heartedly interested for a few days.

Icy-person666 2025-12-03 22:02

Do you really think they care? Long as they make money for themselves and their associates I don't see anyone in the entire upper teers of the financial system caring. Worst case the get a bailout.

Automatic_Soil9814 2025-12-03 22:04

Anyone who follows tech news should know that. However some people just aren’t used to the fact that a CEO can lie brazenly and repeatedly without consequence. Typically there are repercussions for this type of thing. Trump and Elon were an odd couple, however they both shared an ability to completely avoid consequence.

I found [this podcast](https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/the-secretive-committee-behind-the-s-p-500/id1318276878?i=1000493207978) insightful.

biggly_biggums 2025-12-03 23:12

4 percent today! Down is up yall!

Lacrewpandora 2025-12-03 23:29

Tesla's market share in Europe has dwindled from almost 28% in 2019 to less than 5% today. Even worse, in a GROWING MARKET, TSLA sales in Europe are down 20% from their peak. Seems somebody or something else is indeed "killing" TSLA's sales. VW group is selling FOUR TIMES as many BEVs in Europe as TSLA. Don't get so hung up on TSLA's inability to produce a large product line and fixate on their one model. Its fairly likely that TSLA will sell less than 100k cars in Europe in 2026.

friendIdiglove 2025-12-04 02:40

Can the right people finally get pissed off at Mush Mouth and sue Tesla for damages? No? Stock is up you say? Good grief.

South-Play-2866 2025-12-04 03:51

Sales plummeting = stock rocketing

TheMegaDriver2 2025-12-04 05:00

What is this fucking stock? Tesla is a car maker that isn't selling a lot of cars anymore yet. Its valuation is like it's making money like the entire financial industry.

BlackRockLarryFink 2025-12-04 05:09

I'm tied into this. Lawyers are in the family. I'm pissed as hell and out of the country atm. Those cowards didn't send a call, email or notification like they claimed they did. I'm going to be sent to arbitration but we're going to draw this out. F - Elon musk.

marmaviscount 2025-12-04 06:33

When cursed that everything he tries will fail he said 'i don't want to cause problems for anyone or be unpopular so I'll just live a quiet life in poverty'

[deleted] 2025-12-04 08:46

They are still selling cars, just slightly less than last year, where they also sold less than the year before. That would be sort of ok, if not for the fact that the stock is priced from an expectation of constant high growth, and even in that scenario its sort of overvalued.

zzen11223344 2025-12-04 12:53

He has moved on to AI and humanoid, plus his rockets are still working and making loads of money.

Brexsh1t 2025-12-04 13:00

Sort of over valued? It’s insanely over valued. Never in the history of the modern world has a business been so overvalued. When the end comes it will be swift and a lot of the Telsa cult holders are going to lose their savings.

[deleted] 2025-12-04 13:16

What I mean is that even if they had exponential growth, they would be overvalued. Enough growth could justify the valuation. But the reality is that they are actually slowly losing sales instead of growing. And that makes the valuation absolutely insane.

Select_Strategy_7844 2025-12-04 15:34

FSD solved. V14.2. Watch the countless YouTube video of FSD making round trip videos without no interventions. SpaceX providing over 90% of all tonnage to space.. Wake up fool. Starlink communication satellites about to put other carriers out of business. Watch the latest version of the Optimus robot running at over 6 mph.

high-up-in-the-trees 2025-12-05 13:13

adam smith tried to warn ya'll!

[deleted] 2025-12-07 09:14

Affectionate_One7558 2025-12-09 17:38

Do you know if these cells were used in utility scale megapacks? That would be a dooozy.

Far_Addition1210 2025-12-09 21:53
