Interesting comment from someone that just demanded a trillion dollars, supposedly to get to a world with 'irrelevant' money.

Bulky_Specialist9645 2025-11-20 01:25

Good, then the wanker can give up his to feed the hungry. Job done.....

ThinkorFeel 2025-11-20 01:27

Then why does he need a $1T pay package?

here_to_be_awesome 2025-11-20 01:28

I got a contact high just reading this article

here_to_be_awesome 2025-11-20 01:29

right! totally optional after the first trillion dollars

y4udothistome 2025-11-20 01:29

This guy is a fu———joke. He doesn’t even believe his own shit but he knows sheeple will believe it

Turbulent-Pea-8826 2025-11-20 01:34

It probably will. Once that happens the billionaires will not need us workers anymore. We will be eliminated and the world will be a handful of the rich who own all of the robots and AI.

galloway188 2025-11-20 01:34

If that’s the case he should just give everything away for free

Aargau 2025-11-20 01:35

So TSLA stock price is irrelevant? Let it go to $45.

MelodiesOfLife6 2025-11-20 01:38

"I have enough money, nobody needs anymore"

art-is-t 2025-11-20 01:39

Then why is dying to get bigger pay checks. Elon math is not mathing

RioRancher 2025-11-20 01:41

Relevant only for the greedy rich

Zealousideal_Draw924 2025-11-20 01:48

Elmo says a lotta dumb shit

Usual-Language-745 2025-11-20 01:50

I remember that Harvard study where they found that after $80k you don’t actually get any happier…or was it a thousand billion dollars??? Ohh well at least I can afford that $30k tesla they’ve been promising for 8 years….whats that? They only make $20k robots now and they can only load my dishwasher for me? I don’t have a dishwasher. I’m sure it’ll all be ok. Thanks for the high speed hyperloop transport system Elon.

RocketLabBeatsSpaceX 2025-11-20 01:52

Yeah ok. Lol

hecramsey 2025-11-20 01:53

any day now. right around the corner.

daveo18 2025-11-20 01:53

Man who fought tooth and nail for a trillion dollar pay package says what?

NotThatTodd 2025-11-20 01:55

That’s so he can control the robot army.

RCA2CE 2025-11-20 01:55

Then he should give his away

Sproketz 2025-11-20 01:57

Well... He left out the other part. That it will make you irrelevant too. There's no assumption that you need to live as far as he's concerned. It can just be him and his robots and a few other billionaires and that's good enough for him. People keep assuming that Elon has a plan for "society" in his vision of the future. He does not.

luv2block 2025-11-20 01:59

It's like a 600-pound man preaching the virtues of fasting.

Pineapplepizzaracoon 2025-11-20 02:00

Then why does he need a trillion dollars

Sproketz 2025-11-20 02:03

Literally this. Half of my extended family are the country club wealthy types. I've been to Mar-a-Lago and plenty of the east coast country clubs many years ago. If you could hear how they talk about the poor you'd be disgusted. I have a distain for that side of my family and no longer associate with them. They look at the working people as lowly outsiders that exist only to do the menial labor needed to keep them in luxury. If they could replace you with a robot they would in a heartbeat. They don't give one shit about your hardships or suffering. They're despicable. I guarantee none of them have any plan at all to ensure we all go on living. At the moment we're just a necessary means to an end for them.

Icy-person666 2025-11-20 02:14

He has a plan, serve him or die.

JimJamBangBang 2025-11-20 02:14

Then why does he need more money?

JimJamBangBang 2025-11-20 02:15

Asimov predicted this in the 1960’s.

Icy-person666 2025-11-20 02:17

The thing which escaped them is they to become irrelevant. Kind of like playing sim city and just letting the game run long after you gave up interest. The whole thing could be automated and no need for humans at any part of the system including the very top.

sykemol 2025-11-20 02:18

Just in case.

edjfrst 2025-11-20 02:21

AI has made his penis irrelevant. Artificial Insemination.

This-Ad6017 2025-11-20 02:23

Is he back on the whacky stuff?

SupahCharged 2025-11-20 02:28

They sure are hoarding a lot of this irrelevant thing....

angryvetguy 2025-11-20 02:29

Someone needs to change Elon's face diaper, he's full of shit again.

Odd-Adagio7080 2025-11-20 02:35

Are you talking a pure socialist ideal, where everyone’s needs are taken care of equally by a central government, but in this case by an AI/robot government? Sure, I’m in. But have you thought through what that means for rich folk like you?

Guy_Smylee 2025-11-20 02:36

He says a lot of stuff.

oh_woo_fee 2025-11-20 02:42

One side has all the money, the other side (majority) has no money

GipsyDanger45 2025-11-20 02:57

Build robots to replace humans to do what for whom to buy? If there is no consumer there is nothing to build or replace. The world is broken

ColdPack6096 2025-11-20 02:58

Then why tf is he trying to become the world's first trillionaire?? He's a lying scumbag, that's why.

BigMax 2025-11-20 02:59

Musk is such a moron. He demands to be the riches man in the world and says money isn't important. He claims money will be spread out, while saying that HE should get more and more, and none of it should go to anyone else. "Everyone will have money!" can't be true when his actions say "the money should ALL be in the hands of just a few people."

paulm1927 2025-11-20 03:06

Money will become irrelevant as no one will have any in his future view.

tanbyte 2025-11-20 03:11

This guy is on drugs all the time!

pharsee 2025-11-20 03:27

Until they figure out the power/battery problems don't bet on it and don't bet on any Elon robot related stocks.

RR321 2025-11-20 03:28

Yeah, they eliminate people and now the masters are finally back to owning slaves. We see you nazi Elon...

Derelicticu 2025-11-20 03:32

He just means because no one else will have any.

MoneyManx10 2025-11-20 03:37

I’m not even mad at him anymore. I’m mad at anyone who is still falling for this con.

Belzebutt 2025-11-20 03:45

He expects you to believe that the people who own all these companies that replace all the workers will just give it away for nothing. The same people who can’t stomach single payer healthcare and cut food stamps. They’ll just give it to you for free. Trust me bro.

SackofBawbags 2025-11-20 03:49

Wow 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

horendus 2025-11-20 04:00

Read between the lines. His hoping his gain from these tech will finally make money irrelevant for him

GhostofBreadDragons 2025-11-20 04:04

I don’t know how that logic will raise the stock price but I am pretty sure it will.

Majestic-Internet123 2025-11-20 04:05

This does seem to be the agenda and I’m glad it’s not only me that thinks this is where things are heading, at least in the US.

FIicker7 2025-11-20 04:08

Is Elon a communist?

Sea_Echidna_2442 2025-11-20 04:28

Cool, give yours away

No-Somewhere-3888 2025-11-20 04:48

So... communism?

PossibleCash6092 2025-11-20 04:59

His money is irrelevant because it actually doesn’t even exist, and it never actually will

YusoLOCO 2025-11-20 05:14

Then why is he so desperate to keep hoarding it?

MicrowaveDonuts 2025-11-20 05:18

This is the first thing he's said in a while that made me wonder. He's literally the worst. But money.... money is just a medium for exchange. And MOST of what is exchanged is labor. And people who are sitting on a pile of money have either saved up their own labor, or exploited the labor of others, to use later. If AI and robots essentially make labor worthless...then why would anyone respect the saved up labor from decades past as having value in the future? of course, he is also the worst, so he might mean that in a post-scarcity world where no one really has to work, the only thing that will matter is control of the remaining scarce resources, land, water, etc, and that will be accomplished with sheer power, violence, etc. Becasue, you know, he's the worst.

bluethunder82 2025-11-20 05:25

I think we’ll end up with something closer to Philip K Dick’s *The Penultimate Truth.*

agent674253 2025-11-20 05:27

And at that point, the world will become stale. The populations will dwindle to a few thousand, each of which will seek to protect themselves and fear anything that could harm them. Being immortal makes one afraid to live, because if one can live forever, and yet still be wounded, why take the chance? This reminds me of an episode from the Canadian sci-fi show, Lexx. Brigadoom. [Lexx — S02E18 — Brigadoom](https://youtu.be/_n7iIYhjiSQ?t=496) eta. Just starting watching the clip again (it's been years since I've watched) and the 'building a great, defensive shield around their planet'... um, 'golden dome' anyone? Life imitating art at this point.

fastwriter- 2025-11-20 05:29

This guy gets all his „Visions“ from Science Fiction it seems.

Low-Possibility-7060 2025-11-20 05:29

True - I might add that money is literally all he has.

jayschembri 2025-11-20 05:30

This is all to piss off Trump, I bet.

dtyamada 2025-11-20 05:33

I wish he'd become irrelevant

Pentanubis 2025-11-20 05:44

The con man speak!

AbleDanger12 2025-11-20 06:01

I'd like to see Elon become irrelevant

RagingDemonsNoDQ 2025-11-20 06:03

This is Elon's plan. https://tenor.com/bd9ho.gif

whoisnotinmykitchen 2025-11-20 06:11

... which is why he held Tesla hostage for a Trillion dollars.

ianishomer 2025-11-20 06:14

Headline should read "Worlds richest snake oil salesman says more bullshit"

6DegreesofFreedom 2025-11-20 06:32

Right. Once jobs become irrelevant I'm sure he'll start with the handouts to support people

IWCry 2025-11-20 06:35

idk he's such a stupid vain narcissist that was bullied his whole life since he's the bad kind of nerd, and now has low self esteem and something to prove, so I genuinely think he wants there to be "the masses" for him to be idolized by to get his validation

adorablefuzzykitten 2025-11-20 06:37

This would be more believable if my self driving car could actually self drive by now.

adorablefuzzykitten 2025-11-20 06:39

If money is no longer relevant then Musk would not be relevant.

SisterOfBattIe 2025-11-20 06:42

Musk became the richest man in the world, and want to be the first trillionare, and somehow he can say with a straight face it's not about money, and money doesn't matter.

habfranco 2025-11-20 07:23

irrelevant for those who have it

boofles1 2025-11-20 07:24

Robot run AI data centres on the Moon will make money irrelevant.

Smaxter84 2025-11-20 07:36

Gotta pump up the bubble big man 😂

WM_ 2025-11-20 08:34

I've always said that money is the root of all evil and we should move away from it but Elon is the last person I'd trust with this.

Mike312 2025-11-20 08:38

Can I eat money? Can I drink money? If I put money in the light socket, will the lights work?

Paltamachine 2025-11-20 09:25

yes

anikansk 2025-11-20 09:32

A man for whom money is irrelevant thinks he is going to make money irrelevant. The rich are so rich now the detachment from reality is not even amusing any more. I think the point was when that rich idiot put the flower in the gun for pepsi.

frechundfrei 2025-11-20 09:55

Money will be irrelevant because he has all of it.

Alimbiquated 2025-11-20 10:13

Money is already irrelevant on Mars Elon. Go there it will make all your dreams come true.

Makeshift-human 2025-11-20 10:19

As if the rich would ever allow for money to become irrelevant and ai robots won´t do that anyway. Humanoid robots are just made to look fancy. They are so stupid constructions, just looking futuristic to fool people.

[deleted] 2025-11-20 10:35

[deleted]

egowritingcheques 2025-11-20 10:39

That idiot probably believes it. He is totally removed from the shared realities of 99.9% of people.

EczachlyLB 2025-11-20 10:41

When is Elon gonna stop with the stupid ? Elon = 🤡

FrogmanKouki 2025-11-20 10:55

He really really wants to spread the light of consciousness to Mars, he'll need a trillion because it's expensive when you continuously blow up rockets

AivernT 2025-11-20 11:02

If that were true he wouldnt be jacking his shareholders off for a trillion dollar payday ffs.

stellae-fons 2025-11-20 11:26

That's certainly their intention but it's born from ignorance about how humans work. For all the world's issues, people are generally safe, fed, and entertained. If they truly try to take any of that away they're fucked. People will find a way to get those things anyway. They envision societal collapse as a bunch of poor people quietly dying invisibly, not a few billion hungry angry bipedals in survival mode. The world doesn't operate under the controlled simplicity they've deluded themselves into believing.

gwenver 2025-11-20 11:30

...and people.

Complex_Advantage_58 2025-11-20 11:37

Yeah, at what point does the billionaire exploitation of the poor’s labor magically trickle down into wealth for everyone?  Cuz this fantasy he’s shilling has more holes than his self-made origin story

lexievv 2025-11-20 11:48

Prove it, give it all away...

Loveroffinerthings 2025-11-20 12:07

Elon said we’d be living on Mars and FSD will be fully operational in 2018, so…..

sadicarnot 2025-11-20 12:51

You would think he would be more like the Ben & Jerry guys. But in all seriousness I have been trying to buy things as much as possible from B-Corps. Everyone should educate themselves on [what B-Corps are](https://www.bcorporation.net/en-us/movement/) and where their money goes. [You can look up companies to see if they are B-Corps. ](https://www.bcorporation.net/en-us/find-a-b-corp/)

sadicarnot 2025-11-20 12:53

To be fair, if I had a trillion dollars I would think money was irrelevant.

Saying_Boo-urns 2025-11-20 13:38

So is he pro communism now or just says whatever pops into his empty head

paigeguy 2025-11-20 13:43

Arrrgah CHAINSAW argalbargal

DreadpirateBG 2025-11-20 14:05

Hahahahahahahahahaha just as clueless as ever. Pipe dreams like most of his ideas and suggestions are.

Lacrewpandora 2025-11-20 14:07

"Anyone can have any products or services that they want."... Sounds ok, I guess... "But there will be a lot of trauma and disruption along the way." Ah, there it is.

No-Obligation7462 2025-11-20 14:43

Moron.

Perfect-Top-7555 2025-11-20 14:55

He thinks that everyone is NPCs

meatbag2010 2025-11-20 15:05

Nice. So I don't need to pay my mortage or bills now? /s

DVMirchev 2025-11-20 15:30

Then, Mr Musk, why don't you give all your billions to the folks who need them most while the money is still relevant?

grobb916 2025-11-20 15:42

Oh the fantastical thoughts ketamine induces

Left_Consequence_886 2025-11-20 15:56

Money will only become irrelevant when there isnt a single product that everyone who desires can access. I think he’s right as long as we progress technologically and do not become extinct or totally depraved. This is a long way off if we make it.

kittenTakeover 2025-11-20 16:01

Elon Musk is a liar and manipulator.

Temporary-Job-9049 2025-11-20 16:07

That must be why he asked for so much of it

TechnicianExtreme200 2025-11-20 16:08

"It's not about the money" /puke

ATX_native 2025-11-20 16:18

Then I guess it’s weird he fought so hard for his $1 Trillion dollar package.

NotFromMilkyWay 2025-11-20 17:11

I mean, if you have 400 billion it's probably already irrelevant.

henlochimken 2025-11-20 18:27

cool Elon, let's see you give your money away then dipshit

[deleted] 2025-11-20 18:38

fearless shy jar steep school ask slap gold nose boat *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev/home)*

altoona_sprock 2025-11-20 18:40

If money will be irrelevant, why does he want to be a trillionaire?

bigak74 2025-11-20 20:03

Hopefully it makes CEOs irrelevant

tidder-la 2025-11-20 21:14

Says the billionaire with a billion dollar bonus package.

MalacusQuay 2025-11-21 00:06

The political power and influence it brings him, including the ability to shape government policy and action and impact society, however, is very real.

MalacusQuay 2025-11-21 00:12

Indeed, the biggest crime against humanity was enclosure of the commons, when the land (that people need to live on and from) was able to be 'owned' by individuals, rather than being communal property all could use. This was one of the big key shifts that lead to growing inequality and hierarchies of power, because he who could enclose and own the land (required to provide the food and shelter people need), could then amass power and authority over those who could not. Not to be too simplistic about it, but we could begin addressing many of the inequalities and injustices in modern economics and society if we moved back toward the concept of the land (and its resources) being a 'commons' that everyone is entitled to, rather than being a thing the masses need to 'rent' from made up 'owners.'

MalacusQuay 2025-11-21 00:15

I don't think he has thought through the logical consequences of his, and the other billionaire's wet dreams. These guys are so high on their own supply they seem to think they constitute a natural ruling elite through their own sheer genius, rather than it being a result of the power afforded to them through an arbitrary and unjust economic system.

kuela 2025-11-21 00:21

A world with no money, a certain race worse nightmare

SoulShatter 2025-11-21 01:32

That's what the AI is for. It'll select and filter those that have a positive view of Musk, or can be further brainwashed through some AI shared delusions. The rest that don't worship him will become biomass.

Hour-Bag5327 2025-11-21 02:30

How any fools can support this psycho and drive a Tesla is beyond me. Society is so fucked.

doublefof 2025-11-21 03:15

When we are all slaves. Money is irrelevant for sure.

Timmsh88 2025-11-21 03:29

Trillion

QVRedit 2025-11-21 09:57

I am sure that once you’re a multi-billionaire, that money really does seem to be rather irrelevant. The vast majority of people are not in that situation though, and money is one of the big things that dominates their lives. It’s highly relevant to everyday folk, and so AI and Robotics is a big worry when it comes to job displacement. Do billionaires who manage to make savings by using robotics and AI instead of staff, put equal effort into helping those made redundant find new jobs and pay for new training ? ( No, I thought not… They just wash their hands and walk away ) Are the Billionaires going to be paying enough tax to fund everyone with UBI instead ? Will robot workers in effect be taxed ?

StanchoPanza 2025-11-21 15:16

i think most of us would reach that conclusion at a much lower number. i recall there was a website some years back that challenged you to spend a trillion USD by choosing things to buy like planes, sports teams etc. i came up well short of $1T

DonutGodzilla 2025-11-21 15:43

In that case, anyone investing in tesla thinking sillyboy's gimmicks will give them a return, ought rethink.

TheEvilBlight 2025-11-21 15:52

“Salary is irrelevant since we will eliminate the need for the working class”

Likinhikin- 2025-11-21 23:10

I have a trillion dollars, so money is irrelevant. Said one person.

EmbarrassedGanache68 2025-11-22 08:14

And that’s will be Grok’s mission someday.

Embarrassed_Quit_450 2025-11-22 14:17

He's certainly an expert in being irrelevant.

Part_Tricky 2025-11-22 18:54

Then Why Elon, the moron, is getting $1 Trillion dollar package if money is irrelevant. This fascist is trying to make a case for his robotic investment.

Icy-person666 2025-11-23 00:02

Who would ever think space Odyssey 2001 would actually be a template rather than a cautiononary tale.

UpbeatWishbone9825 2025-11-24 05:18

Dude talks shit.

spastical-mackerel 2025-11-25 00:28

“I won’t work for Tesla unless they pay me $1 trillion” — also Elon Musk

spastical-mackerel 2025-11-25 00:29

Well one way to make money irrelevant is to make sure that Elon has all of it
