Elon "pull my finger" Musk.

tragedy_strikes 2025-11-07 00:05

FSD will be done this time next year...

y4udothistome 2025-11-07 00:05

It’s not a car company so he doesn’t give a shit but I’ll tell you what he will care about he starts selling 200,000 cars a quarter he won’t have any money to do anything

Suspicious-Insect716 2025-11-07 00:06

From a car manufacturer Tesla is becoming more and more a vaporware factory.

Only_Employ3761 2025-11-07 00:10

Really? April Fools day 2026. How dumb are people?

dibsies 2025-11-07 00:21

😂

LightMission4937 2025-11-07 00:22

So never.

HesterMoffett 2025-11-07 00:28

Thank goodness they gave him that ridiculous pay package or who would be around to make promises they have no intention of keeping?

stresscone420 2025-11-07 00:29

Car Citizen

runForestRun17 2025-11-07 00:33

Riiiiiiiight

CouncilmanRickPrime 2025-11-07 00:33

Tesla doesn't need to sell any cars. Just keep promising the most insane thing is coming next year, make money selling and diluting the stock, then repeat.

Eulipion6 2025-11-07 00:33

Still waiting on master plan parts 1-3…. Maybe we should pay him more for doing nothing but wrecking shareholder value.

ExcitingMeet2443 2025-11-07 00:34

>that demo event will be April 1 of next year. *I have some deniability because I can say I was just kidding*. But we are actually tentatively aiming for April 1, for what I think will be the most exciting, *whether it works or not*, demo of any product.

Mean-Evidence-4056 2025-11-07 00:34

Months away he said today, it’s “solved”

y4udothistome 2025-11-07 00:34

What about 130,000 employees

[deleted] 2025-11-07 00:34

The whole shareholder meeting felt like a cult gathering. Scientology is proud.

y4udothistome 2025-11-07 00:35

Agreed to a point

Bannedwith1milKarma 2025-11-07 00:35

They think the troll is genius.

DamNamesTaken11 2025-11-07 00:37

And yet the shareholders still approved his ridiculous $1T package.

HalifaxRoad 2025-11-07 00:39

Genius... For a 2 year old yeah that prodigy level. Someone musks age it's the equivalent of a fart joke during a funeral.

Ohuigin 2025-11-07 00:45

Well, shareholders just approved a $1 trillion...yes TRILLION pay package for him. Meanwhile profits fell by about 37% year over year in the third quarter of 2025. Does that answer your question?

CouncilmanRickPrime 2025-11-07 00:48

Promise teleportation devices, stock pumps, dilute it, sell to cover payroll

britaliope 2025-11-07 00:50

Crazy how this is announced just after his ridiculous pay package have been accepted...... time to see if he can pump the stock enough to reach the absurd objectives...

y4udothistome 2025-11-07 00:51

Lol that works.

mrpopenfresh 2025-11-07 00:52

That’s a thank you for the trillion dollar stock option

britaliope 2025-11-07 00:52

It's no coincidence. He get the content of the pay package only if he increase the stock value to some ridiculously high numbers. So now it's pumping time, so he can get it.

dtyamada 2025-11-07 00:52

Where have we heard that before 😆

Brave_Nerve_6871 2025-11-07 00:52

Elon's such an effective CEO, give him the trillion already!

britaliope 2025-11-07 00:52

It's no coincidence. He get the content of the pay package only if he increase the stock value to some ridiculously high numbers. So now it's pumping time, so he can get it.

ShotNixon 2025-11-07 00:53

He’d be uncomfortable building a roadster without having a $2T pay package.

Excellent_Rule_2778 2025-11-07 00:55

Did he announce that before or after the 1B$ vote? :)

LVegasGuy 2025-11-07 00:56

LOL

bobi2393 2025-11-07 01:05

He announced last week that Roadsters can fly and hover over traffic, which I'm guessing caught engineers working on a ground demo off guard.

jaimi_wanders 2025-11-07 01:10

Two more ~~weeks~~ years!

AcctAlreadyTaken 2025-11-07 01:14

Start the next year bullshit again and the stock will rise each time until he hits the target.

hibikir_40k 2025-11-07 01:14

I bet that in the presentation it's going to be driven by the autonomous robot, and then parked into a spaceX rocket that will go straight to Mars.

GhostofBreadDragons 2025-11-07 01:17

Jokes on the stock holders.

daveo18 2025-11-07 01:17

Just one more year. That’ll do it.

ComicsEtAl 2025-11-07 01:20

Seems like a good time to renegotiate up to $2T.

jaimi_wanders 2025-11-07 01:21

That’s how his, Erik Prince’s, and Vladimir Putin’s mutual bestie, Rep Dana Rohrabacher, tried for plausible deniability that he was “just joking” when he tweeted how he would give Alaska back to Russia with a referendum a month into the annexations of Crimea and Donbas in 2014…

VitaminPb 2025-11-07 01:22

Which means anyone with a 401k

Ultraeasymoney 2025-11-07 01:24

Didn't Musk just said he will do a demo at the end of this year on the Joe Rogan podcast?

praguer56 2025-11-07 01:25

Funny, I just read that Musk said that the Cybercab will go into production in April.

Sudden-Step9593 2025-11-07 01:45

Or layoffs

NoIncrease299 2025-11-07 01:49

sure\_klan.gif

ATX_native 2025-11-07 01:50

I mean it’s already a 300 P/E

WhenImTryingToHide 2025-11-07 02:00

So, a PE already in the hundreds, declining product sales, and a Nazi taint on the brand. This thing is going to have a PE in the thousands after all the pumping he’s about to do.

OarsandRowlocks 2025-11-07 02:01

🥕🫏

britaliope 2025-11-07 02:03

Yes, ik. market cap is at 1.5T. IIRC his first objective is a market cap above 2T, and the last ones for the full package is something like 8.5T market cap within a decade. It's fucking ridiculous, it doesn't make any sense, the value is already based on thin air.....but who fucking knows with that meme stock. It looks like he can pump it however he wants for as long as he wants. It will definitively stop working at some point, but honestly even he don't know when it'll be... In the meantime, shareholders are stuck with him (because as soon as he leaves, pumping is over and without Musk artificially creating value out of thin air it won't be long until it's back at a value that would make sense). So they keep him. And he can blackmail them threatening to leave if they don't agree to his requests.

CouncilmanRickPrime 2025-11-07 02:05

He's a billionaire so it's implied

BakedMitten 2025-11-07 02:11

Becoming? What is this 2018?

vilette 2025-11-07 02:18

So, 2028

Furion86 2025-11-07 02:24

If they don't release it until after July 2026, more time will have elapsed between the Roadster 2 announcement and its 'release', than the Roadster 2 announcement and *original* Model S announcement

BringBackUsenet 2025-11-07 02:25

"Next year..." Translation from Muskese: "Never."

practicaloppossum 2025-11-07 02:33

Yeah, that "whether it works or not" was the bit that made me laugh. I'm guessing the odds of "works" are not very good.

biograf_ 2025-11-07 02:38

The sentient flying car?

Beezelbubba 2025-11-07 02:58

so a car that at best would sell 3-5k a year in total at best. Sure thing

Queasy_Donkey5685 2025-11-07 03:00

Saudis guys, Saudis are the ones that both benefit here and have the pockets to keep this nonsense going. 20th century oil wealth is buying up 21st century tech to maintain its grip on power as oil influence wanes. Big Money been doing this for centuries, it's what really makes the world go round.

mw44118 2025-11-07 03:07

He is on more K than was priced into market

dead_ed 2025-11-07 03:19

*two weeks*

th3bigfatj 2025-11-07 03:20

It's this still the so called "2020 roadster" that people put huge deposits down on in 2019?

Youngnathan2011 2025-11-07 03:31

And then it’ll be delayed again, and again

Dude008 2025-11-07 03:36

C'mon, fElon really means it this time, totally.

Dude008 2025-11-07 03:38

It'll come out right after Roadster 2.0 in 2020.

islandguy88 2025-11-07 03:45

10yr anniversary!

ychacha 2025-11-07 04:02

Wow I can wait

10EtherealLane 2025-11-07 04:15

“It has to fly now. You have 1 more year”

hashswag00 2025-11-07 04:29

They are an appliance manufacturer.

ryan_dfs 2025-11-07 04:46

Book value per share is $25. That’s probably going to be what the share price is when the company flips to losses in 2026.

kineticdeck 2025-11-07 04:46

FSD was solved years ago

y4udothistome 2025-11-07 04:47

That would be fantastic

y4udothistome 2025-11-07 04:54

This is where he starts promising a lot of stuff

neverOddOrEv_n 2025-11-07 05:03

Do some Tesla shareholders have a humiliation kink? Also the fact that Tesla is so closely tied to Elon is a horrible thing from a business standpoint and longevity and that’s been proven time and time again. I still can’t believe his hate speech (and lies) on Twitter, the nazi salute and everything he’s done with trump wasn’t enough for Tesla shareholders to get frustrated with him

neverOddOrEv_n 2025-11-07 05:07

8 years later and he’s still going on about “whether it works or not”, Tesla is such an embarrassing company. It’ll be a decade by the time if it actually comes, no other company could get away with that.

[deleted] 2025-11-07 05:10

You say that like he has a long and well documented history of always over promising and undelivering....oh wait, never mind 😆 Edit: But, if takes like a decade for it to come out, maybe someone will start buying his cars again by then 🙄

cseckshun 2025-11-07 05:29

Why would they want Tesla? It’s probably the least useful tech company to invest in, especially if it’s propped up by Saudi money for its valuation. How would this benefit them?

fastwriter- 2025-11-07 05:29

Musk is back to his old game, which indicates cash flow at Tesla is drying up. Back in the days, Musk would announce another new Tesla everytime the Company needed Money. The collected Downpayments (or Registration Fees) years before the actual products where delivered and created interest free cash infusions by that. As the Business started to generate positive Cash Flow from Carbon Credit and indeed Car sales, Musk stopped using this Method and pivoted to his Stock Pumping. Now he returns to the old scheme and tries to generate free Cash with the Roadster announcements. To me it has a logic, that this is related to negative Cash Flow existing already or being anticipated in the coming months as a hefty sales slump will follow the last Quarters sales surge due the ends of the Subsidies. And even worse: after the end of the Carbon Credits.

Queasy_Donkey5685 2025-11-07 05:38

Because it's big and already plugged in. It also doesn't mean they aren't also making plays elsewhere. They know the end of peak oil is coming. They know better than anyone what their field holdings really is. They know the future is not oil. They know they gotta diversify before they become irrelevant regardless of wealth.

lelarentaka 2025-11-07 05:54

Shut up man, I threw a dart to my bogeyman board and it landed on Saudi, so just roll with it.

RevolutionCrazy7045 2025-11-07 06:11

DeLaYs pRoDuCtiOn to 27/28/29/30/31 etc etc

CuteNabi 2025-11-07 06:25

If you never release it you can keep building more hype for it. FSD has been raising the stock price for almost 10 years now by being released 'next quarter' .

RipWhenDamageTaken 2025-11-07 06:27

Everything will be launched April 1st 2026. Everything. Trust.

cseckshun 2025-11-07 06:28

Sorry, I didn’t realize someone had already applied a DART analysis to the situation. I tried throwing the kitchen sink at it but the variables were clogging the drain.

RipWhenDamageTaken 2025-11-07 06:29

Correct me if I’m wrong, but he gets part of it by meeting some of the goals. For example, not meeting the market cap goal but meeting the delivery goals (which aren’t even that high when compared to Toyota)

cseckshun 2025-11-07 06:32

What is Tesla connected to? Grok is under xAI and the cars are pretty unremarkable at Tesla, especially for the market cap compared to other potential investments saudis could make at other car companies. They could buy a whole car company and switch it to focus on electric vehicles if they wanted to and it would be for a fraction of what it would take to get majority ownership in Tesla or even to get a larger share of Tesla than Elon. I understand all of what you are saying but the logic you are using doesn’t land you at “Saudis would be smart to buy Tesla stock” or “Saudis are buying Tesla stock to prop up the current market valuation”.

h1rik1 2025-11-07 06:39

Let that sink in.

blu3ysdad 2025-11-07 06:41

This is such a fuck you idiots to all the people that just voted for his trillion dollar pay package, he's calling them morons to their faces and they love it

h1rik1 2025-11-07 06:42

Done already. Need to find an industry where he can get tax payer money into the mix.

Clear-Neighborhood46 2025-11-07 07:31

It can go to 3000 P/E!!! To the moon and infinity!!! /s

daveo18 2025-11-07 08:41

The problem this time is they already sold stock, and took deposits on the back of the roadster.

[deleted] 2025-11-07 08:58

Hoping for magic to happen? Laws of nature won't change in the meantime. I guarantee the range etc falls short. Oh sorry we are talking the OTHER fake Roadster violating even More laws of physics!!

[deleted] 2025-11-07 09:22

He got his money so he no longer needs the headline. It’s all a con

Makeshift-human 2025-11-07 09:42

It will come next year since 2017

MoleMoustache 2025-11-07 09:54

> How dumb are people? People are pretty ok. People who think of Tesla as a positive? Dumb as fuck.

PilotKnob 2025-11-07 10:40

April 1, you say? How apropos. Edit - speling

[deleted] 2025-11-07 11:19

I find it very convincing. It's literally what he does. Promising shit with cringe humor. It's 100% spot on.

[deleted] 2025-11-07 11:23

It would only be the second impossible roadster he promised... He already Sold the idea of a car for 250.000$! This is not out of the question!

secretlyjudging 2025-11-07 11:30

That’s because they need more time to fine tune the anti grav engine.

North-Outside-5815 2025-11-07 11:33

Yeah. If they believe this, I have a really nice bridge for sale.

drillbit56 2025-11-07 12:19

Musk will spin up a new narrative that this super car will have Fully Autonomous Self Flying controlled by GROKai.

I-Pacer 2025-11-07 12:27

This is the real smoke and mirrors part. It was never about getting a trillion dollar payout. It was about enraging people at the prospect of a trillion dollar payout, then pointing out to people how unlikely it is that he will meet every target. Then when everyone goes “oh well if we get that high he deserves it anyway”. Meanwhile he actually pockets 100 billion for meeting the simple targets that were hidden beneath the moonshots. He’s getting tens or hundreds of billions with no pushback and people are happy that it’s not a trillion. Trick as old as time and people keep falling for it.

IceShaver 2025-11-07 13:01

It’ll fly right?

y4udothistome 2025-11-07 13:45

Exactly

Doom4535 2025-11-07 14:58

They do have a significant stake in Lucid, no idea on Tesla; they presumably manage their money well, so would try to avoid Tesla now (unless they're already stuck with past investments). Having said that, ultra-wealthy might instead use their money to buy influence (so Tesla could be viewed as buying Musk influence I guess if they did buy new stakes). I would be curious if anyone has tracked institutions that have been slowing cutting they're shares during the highs to lock in profits while slowly exiting?

UndertakerFred 2025-11-07 15:46

No, this is the roadster that will be “in production next year” every year since 2020.

Brilliant-Lettuce544 2025-11-07 15:55

he needs 3T to control the robot army

mog_knight 2025-11-07 18:06

They do have a whole car company. It's called Lucid.

DreadpirateBG 2025-11-07 18:30

I will be bummed out no matter what they come out with. The fact that they want to make some new hyper car out of it, suck’s. We would love a roadster with a model 3 basic rear wheel drive setup. Then maybe a AWD. After that they can have their hyper car for the super rich. Come on Tesla make dreams come true

J_M 2025-11-07 19:03

2nd most appropriate date possible - best would be February 30th

[deleted] 2025-11-07 19:39

Tesla boards and Musk can continue to be on their troll wagon until they can't

cseckshun 2025-11-07 20:20

Then I’m really unsure why people seem to think it’s Saudi money propping up the valuation for Tesla? What would be the benefit of that if they have a competing electric car company? Tesla might have some self driving tech that’s ahead of other electric car manufacturers but I’m pretty sure they could invest in Waymo more easily and for better bang for their buck. They could probably buy the whole company at Waymo for less than it would take to buy enough Tesla to control the company or to significantly be able to control the price of the stock. I’m just not seeing the logic and it doesn’t seem like the people who think Saudis are controlling the price of Tesla are able to explain the logic.

mog_knight 2025-11-07 20:21

Diversification is a sound investment strategy too. You can't invest in Waymo publicly unless you buy Alphabet stock I think since it's a subsidiary of Alphabet.

tangouniform2020 2025-11-09 05:39

To be pushed back to the 20th.

ManifestDestinysChld 2025-11-11 14:15

I think this thing will remain vapor, but if they do try to condense something out of it I would expect a Cybertruck chassis with Sodastream nozzles at the corners.

Bobinss 2025-11-12 02:09

The car industry gurus say that if you price a roadster correctly, you might sell 40,000 per year. They just aren't very useful. Small cars don't have room for people or stuff. This ain't gonna save TSLA.
