Ooooohhh

The_Jack_of_Spades 2025-10-29 15:29

The full European registration data for September 2025 has been released. In the EU Tesla sold 25,656 cars (31,535 in September 2024, -18.6% YoY). YTD sales are 111,328 (181,572 in January-September 2024, -38.7% YTD). In the EU+EFTA+UK Tesla sold 39,837 cars (44,502 in September 2024, -10.5% YoY). YTD sales are 173,694 (242,976 in January-September 2024, -28.5% YTD). BEV sales as a whole increased (+20% YoY, +24.1% YTD). The overall European car market is stable (+10% YoY, +0.9% YTD). Source https://www.acea.auto/files/Press_release_car_registrations_September_2025.pdf August 2025 data [here](https://old.reddit.com/r/RealTesla/comments/1nnid81/tsla_terathread_for_the_week_of_sep_22/ng54sfj/)

Far_Addition1210 2025-10-29 15:34

Why isn't this company on its knees, they are so Blackberried. Only 2000 cars sold in 70% of the key markets so far in Europe in October. They need to sell 788 cars a day in the next 60 days to match last quarters sales. They are currently averaging 66 sales a day. Some days have only seen 12 cars sold. [https://www.eu-evs.com/groupCharts/TESLA/ALL/Volumes-Quarterly](https://www.eu-evs.com/groupCharts/TESLA/ALL/Volumes-Quarterly)

Far_Addition1210 2025-10-29 15:37

Tesla will not sell 1m cars in the next 12 months.

FrogmanKouki 2025-10-29 16:00

A new thread on Wednesday doesn't hit quite the same

Sir_Isaac_Tootin 2025-10-29 16:19

Tell it to Earth.

Sir_Isaac_Tootin 2025-10-29 16:58

[https://www.reddit.com/r/TeslaFSD/comments/1oipcwq/do\_not\_download\_v14/](https://www.reddit.com/r/TeslaFSD/comments/1oipcwq/do_not_download_v14/) The new version of FSD looks great!

The_Jack_of_Spades 2025-10-29 18:14

Eh, I'd like to believe that but the numbers don't justify that yet. Less than 1.5 million sales in 2026, sure, but less than 1 million is premature. Yes, their September in the European daily reporting countries has been awful, but in 2025 their sales numbers have been even more end-of-quarter-heavy than in previous years, and Norway and the UK are soaking up a lot of the sales they're losing in the EU. They're significantly down YTD across the continent, but a bit less every month. And regarding the other big markets, they're treading water in China but it's not catastrophic, and the effects of the loss of the EV tax credit in the USA remains to be seen.

Far_Addition1210 2025-10-29 18:23

In the UK sales are showing a drop of 60%.

Sir_Isaac_Tootin 2025-10-29 18:31

Through Sept 30, YTD Tesla sales in the UK are down 3.4% YoY. Not sure where you're getting 60%. If you're looking at just the first month of Q4 (for which there is incomplete data - even though the UK updates "daily," it often backfills a few days), Tesla's sales are down 43% from the first 25 days of Q3 and down 33% YoY. You seem to have a very bad habit of extrapolating small sets of data. Not sure why you keep doing it. And here you are posting blatantly false information again.

Sir_Isaac_Tootin 2025-10-29 20:04

TSLA is up an astounding \*108%\* in roughly the last 6 months. In that time, sales, revenue, and net income continue to decline with further delays in their vaporware. Totally normal.

Lacrewpandora 2025-10-29 22:26

This is Tesla adjacent for sure, but for those interested - SpaceX may lose its Moon Lander contract...because, well: apparently NASA doesn't know anything about iterative kablooey design. [https://www.jalopnik.com/2006603/nasa-reopen-contract-for-moon-lander-starship-behind-schedule/](https://www.jalopnik.com/2006603/nasa-reopen-contract-for-moon-lander-starship-behind-schedule/) Although the cynic in me just thinks this is a way to shovel even more money at SpaceX under a new contract, if they 'win' the re-bid...and that multi-billion dollar contract they never fulfilled...just the cost of doing business with the most precious mind in the galaxy.

FrogmanKouki 2025-10-30 00:01

I wish I was brave enough to watch a SMR video, I'm sure he explains how it's all justified.

Zorkmid123 2025-10-30 00:25

His videos are like torture.

Zorkmid123 2025-10-30 00:31

Yeah I think Elon was insulting the NASA administrator a few days ago over this. Still it would probably be better for taxpayers to get a different contractor for this. And Elon is lying when he says Blue Origin has never put a useful payload in oribit. They delivered the Blue Ring Pathfinder to orbit earlier this year. In contrast, Starship has never delivered a payload to orbit of any kind.

Lacrewpandora 2025-10-30 13:33

Another company has beat Tesla to the grift. You can pre-order a (sort of) autonomous humanoid robot called "Neo". It has an Nvidia ship and their marketing makes copious use of the term "AI". AFAICT, the name of the company is "1X"...yes they're even using "X" in their name. The robot is cheap at $20k, but you'll have to pay a subscription for the tele-operators - you know because its autonomous and all. Per the CEO: "We'll build 1 Million Robots by 2028". Seems TSLA may be using its "First Mover Advantage" in...well...something, I'm not even sure what to call these fake futurism hypium gambits.. [https://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/2025/10/29/neo-humanoid-robot-what-to-know/86964089007/](https://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/2025/10/29/neo-humanoid-robot-what-to-know/86964089007/)

dtyamada 2025-10-30 14:55

Anyone that has failed to deliver on project milestones the way SpaceX has should lose the contract. Unfortunately it seems unlikely that will actually happen.

gwenver 2025-10-30 15:46

I was just thinking today. Imagine if Optimus did become a success (yeh, I know!). How long would Tesla have a monopoly?  I mean there are plenty of much more advanced robotics companies out there that could pivot pretty quickly if it became a multi trillion dollar industry. But why even bother making a product when hype is where the money is...

Zorkmid123 2025-10-30 15:48

xAI released Grokipedia a couple of days ago, Elon’s so called unbiased competitor to Wikipedia. It is basically what a lot of people expected. Most of the articles come directly from Wikipedia word for word. Some of the articles Grok “corrects” for “left wing bias” which basically means it puts in Elon’s bias. Some articles it removes entirely. On the Elon Musk article it removes controversies (like the fact that his maternal grandfather was a strong supporter of apartheid) and adds things like claims of a left wing conspiracy against him. It removes the entire article on “Critism of Tesla Inc.” On foreign policy Grokipedia is pro-Israel (it removes the “Gaza Genocide” article from Wikipedia entirely) and widely adopts the Kremlin’s perspective on the Russian Ukraine conflict. Although Elon simps like Mario Newfal have hailed it, I personally think its main utility is it tells you what Elon’s biases are. It’s supposed to compete with Wikipedia but it is totally dependent on Wikipedia for its content.

Lacrewpandora 2025-10-30 18:22

*"If we have to have a steering wheel, it can have a steering wheel and pedals"* \- Robyn Griftholm, a few days ago on the future of the Autonomous "Cybercab" That revolutionary concept alone should boost the stonk by 10%.

Far_Addition1210 2025-10-30 20:09

Bitcoin down 4%, Tesla down 4%. When you look at the intraday charts it is clear there is some pegging to each other, its possible Elon was pumping both using the proceeds of one to pump the other.

lovely_sombrero 2025-10-30 20:29

>Most of the articles come directly from Wikipedia word for word. Some of the articles Grok “corrects” for “left wing bias” which basically means it puts in Elon’s bias. Some articles it removes entirely. I saw that the article about Adolf (you know the one!) was edited right away. Very cool!

statinsinwatersupply 2025-10-30 20:33

Anyone in Norway should be paying attention to the sodium naxtra catl batteries coming from China. There is no good reason for anyone in a cold climate to buy a lithium battery EV right now when they can wait 6 months and get a far superior battery then.

gwenver 2025-10-30 22:55

Hailed it? I think you meant heiled it.

mrbuttsavage 2025-10-31 01:25

Wikipedia is already of questionable usefulness for things beyond straight information, like the date a movie came out and who was in it. A version of that where it might not even be accurate on stuff like that plus Musk's Nazism sounds totally useless.

mrbuttsavage 2025-10-31 01:37

Tesla has no moat for literally anything. If there is trillions of dollars in value in battery storage, robotaxis, robots, you can be sure that thing would become extremely competitive very quickly. Musk himself has intimated their moat over Figure is Tesla's manufacturing prowess. Famous for their well built cars. If a robot like Figure was actually useful, any number of Chinese companies would be licking their chops to build them at scale.

torokunai 2025-10-31 08:37

So Conservapedia with more steps

Lacrewpandora 2025-10-31 12:44

There's been news that SpaceX has been shuffling its bitcoin around for the last few days. Not monster amounts, but maybe Musk's disciples are taking cues from that.

Lacrewpandora 2025-10-31 13:36

7 year Elonversary: *"By next year, a Tesla should be able to drive around a parking lot, find an empty spot, read signs to confirm it’s valid & park."* Spooky Charlatan, October 31, 2018 To be fair, FSD 14.1.4.420.69 can allegedly now do this, but it wasn't exactly "next year".

Lacrewpandora 2025-10-31 14:11

I missed an 8 year Elonversary a few days ago - an update on the LA Tunnel: *"500 ft so far. Should be 2 miles long in three or four months and hopefully stretch the whole 405 N-S corridor from LAX to the 101 in a year or so." -* Underground Grifter, Oct 28, 2017 Here's what the ruins of the tunnel entrance look like today: [*https://maps.app.goo.gl/xDuyT7tuYz4gHeft6*](https://maps.app.goo.gl/xDuyT7tuYz4gHeft6)

But turn signals are optional.

Far_Addition1210 2025-10-31 17:29

2298 sales in Europe so far this quarter, in the reported numbers, which are around 60% of the total numbers.

Sir_Isaac_Tootin 2025-10-31 18:23

False. Again. [https://eu-evs.com/brandCharts/TESLA/ALL\_DAILY/QoQ-Chart](https://eu-evs.com/brandCharts/TESLA/ALL_DAILY/QoQ-Chart) If you are talking about these six countries (which are not officially reported yet, btw), they made up 39% of the European total in July (first month of 3Q25). In 4Q24, they made up 44.7% of Europe's total in October 2024. They ended up around 54% of quarterly total in both instances. I didn't know it was possible for one poster to consistently post false information over and over again. But alas, here we are.

wootnootlol 2025-10-31 18:33

Concerning. Main concern is if the judge in this case will get deported to Liberia, Uganda or El Salvador.

Sir_Isaac_Tootin 2025-10-31 18:59

The man who is CEO of 5 (?) companies found 3 hours out of his day to do \*ANOTHER\* Joe Rogan podcast.

OrdinaryPollution339 2025-10-31 19:37

Always my favorite grift (I was a planning minor in college). "Solve" traffic by simply adding "one more lane, bro" because induced demand is not a thing. And building another lane is cheaper, somehow, because it will be in a tunnel underground. And to access these new lanes, instead of building ramps that take up a ton of space, we will just have parallel parking spots hydraulically lower vehicles into place! This is an obviously speedy and efficient way for vehicles to access a roadway.

Lacrewpandora 2025-10-31 19:44

I'm in a transportation related field too...this must be some sort of litmus test looking for idiots, to propose a tunnel with a traffic lane in it is magically cheaper than a traffic lane at grade. Notably btw - the debacle in Vegas doesn't use car elevators. Almost like that was a childish fantasy he remembered from his Fisher Price Garage as a toddler.

lovely_sombrero 2025-10-31 19:56

It looks like he brought back flying cars, promising a prototype by the end of the year. The good old 2019 Tesla Roadster 2.0 lie. Amazing how recyclable these lies are! Also, flying cars already exist! And they suck. - [edit] non-Tesla related: >MUSK: "The reason you have the standoff is because if the hundreds of billions of dollars to create a financial incentive — to have this giant magnet to attract illegals from every part of Earth to these states — if that is turned off, the illegals will leave. Because they're no longer being paid to come to the United States and stay here." >ROGAN: "Wow."

OrdinaryPollution339 2025-10-31 20:01

Years ago, I got in an argument with a real SF tech-bro who believed tunnels would solve traffic... I kept trying to get him to imagine how you would actually get to these extra lanes in a dense city like SF in order to actually use them, but he couldn't see my point. He was convinced that Elmo had somehow figured out something that thousands of engineers and architects had overlooked. The Vegas ramps and stations would not work in SF or NY (they don't even work in Vegas from a transit standpoint).

ShotBandicoot7 2025-10-31 21:03

Unreal how this pump-post on X about flying cars was able to pump the valuation of TSLA by 50b. https://www.reddit.com/r/teslainvestorsclub/s/dJ16XIq56r

BuckChintheRealtor 2025-10-31 21:41

According to [The Lancet](https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC12274115/) Musks defunding of USAID will lead to millions and millions of preventable deaths by 2030 and "an impact counter estimated that USAID funding discontinuation caused 62,557 adult deaths and 130,535 child deaths just until mid-April 2025, with an average of 103 deaths per hour". Why isn't this news?

Lacrewpandora 2025-10-31 21:56

By a *vast margin* the largest illegal immigrant recipient of handouts is Musk himself. The entirety of SNAP and ACA subsidies is probably less than this turd has gotten.

Monk315 2025-11-01 00:52

Ah yes, migrants are known to line up for that sweet sweet American healthcare.

Monk315 2025-11-01 00:55

Why don't they just dig another tunnel?  Are they stupid?

lovely_sombrero 2025-11-01 00:58

Basically the fight right now is about enhanced ACA subsidies (and indirectly about SNAP). Sure, the ACA sucks, but thinking that just anyone can get it and that even if you get a plan that it is somehow free (while it isn't free for anyone else) is crazy.

torokunai 2025-11-01 01:17

pumping TSLA is indeed a full-time job

torokunai 2025-11-01 01:19

California recently added accessibility to the ACA medicaid expansion from state funding. They had to back-track on that since there's no budget for it now. https://apnews.com/article/california-medicaid-funding-gap-billions-immigration-c64953e55c54599ee1533122e21f267c

BringBackUsenet 2025-11-01 01:42

That is less than one car per store per day. That's not a sustainable business.

BringBackUsenet 2025-11-01 01:44

They buy their batteries like everyone else.

BringBackUsenet 2025-11-01 01:47

An second above-ground tier would be expensive but still probably cheaper than a tunnel, not to mention a lot safer. Just wait til that death trap under Vegas catches fire.

BringBackUsenet 2025-11-01 01:49

Sometime in between video games.

OrdinaryPollution339 2025-11-01 02:35

Ha. I used to live on W 43rd. I know about the tunnel traffic. If the Port Authority had a big brain like Elmo they could restrict tunnel traffic to BEVs and then they could turn the ventilation towers into luxury condos. The even dumber original idea for the tunnels had you drive onto autonomous high speed skates that would somehow be able to go point to point without traffic. So basically a PRT system, which would need even more tracks than a conventional subway - while moving a fraction of the people. And the stations would have to be huge. Anyway, I'm guessing that if the Vegas loop actually had to meet ADA and life safety codes (and wasn't allowed to blow off environmental reviews and construction safety) it would be wildly more expensive than the existing monorail.

ObservationalHumor 2025-11-01 04:03

It was back when it was happening. Half the country just doesn't care and will sign off on pretty much any kind of evil so long as their party is the one carrying it out.

Lacrewpandora 2025-11-01 04:26

Unfortunately the automoderator is not liking the link. Are you able to use Nitter or something else?

ObservationalHumor 2025-11-01 13:51

It's just nuts to me that he literally went in there was given full access to every payment and data system the US government has. Failed to find anything of significance and is still claiming there's money to be saved in there somewhere. He flat out said he could cut the budget in half on this interview. Like.... what? How many illegals does this idiot think there are in the country to begin with and how much money does he think the US government is actually paying to them? Most estimates put the total illegal population at somewhere around 11M and even if they were all getting $10k from the federal government each year that's like $110B. I swear the stuff he says is just so crazy and stupid sometimes I just don't know how he has any credibility left at all. He literally said the reason you couldn't take fraud to zero is because there would be a ton of homicidal maniacs out there killing people if they didn't get their fraudulent payments in this interview too. Like wtf? He believes that's the main impediment to eliminating fraud completely? Not the diminishing returns and there being a point where you'll inevitably spending more to investigate and prosecute fraud than you could ever potentially save by eliminating it? It's literally an insane statement. I don't know how anyone would actually do that interview and think to themselves "that made me look good and furthered my cause". I mean he's never been a great speaker but it's pretty clear the drugs haven't been helping. I wonder if even Rogan is sitting there thinking to himself "jesus I've had fighters on here with CTE that sounded better than Elon" at this point.

lovely_sombrero 2025-11-01 22:44

It is a video of ~300 Cybertrucks at a SpaceX facility. Just sitting there.

torokunai 2025-11-01 22:58

for a typical conservative person, the Democrats are a coalition of losers: potheads, unpermitted immigrants, criminal blah people, anti-Christian evolutionists and abortionists, vaccine mandaters, gun-grabbers, insufficiently patriotic, "globalists" . . . all collected into the pejorative "liberals". It's a helluva socio-political dynamic we've fallen into, and the constitutional structural thumb on the scale rural states get in DC is going to make this shit worse.

mrbuttsavage 2025-11-02 00:53

We've moved from empty mall parking lots to empty Musk owned land. Next stop dumping them in the ocean.

mrbuttsavage 2025-11-02 00:57

I'm not even wholly against conservative politics, but I'm fully against the corrupt dumbassery of the Trump / MAGA regime. When the big orange kicks the bucket or at least strokes out into a vegetable, I really can't see the coalition standing.

Sir_Isaac_Tootin 2025-11-02 12:41

ObservationalHumor 2025-11-02 12:58

They have to vilify the other side because the modern GOP doesn't have any consistent set of values or policy solutions. That's one of the things that was so staggering about the last election. Trump literally came to the table with nothing. Just bad plans on trade, a culture war against immigrants and some vague claims that things would magically get better if he were in power again. Everything has to be a crisis and the other side has to be the epitome of evil because the only solution they're capable of offering is the complete destruction of their opponents or whoever they label as an outsider. It's not even about alternative philosophies or other potential solutions at this point. It's just an ongoing purge with the idea that the only way to obtain greatness to reach some hypothetical core group of 'real Americans' which at this point is just anyone who swears a firm loyalty to Trump and nothing else.

torokunai 2025-11-02 15:47

while all that's true, there is also policy being enacted by the GOP ... largely rolling back the 20th century wrt separation of church & state, tax rates, militarism, police state control, active voter suppression, "America First" nativism, financial deregulation, etc etc etc.

banditcleaner2 2025-11-02 18:50

Party of pro-life btw

Trades46 2025-11-03 05:31

Don't know why FB all the sudden started spamming me with these small time creators all parroting the same "all US automakers and BYD are going to die & Tesla will take over" fake posts and heavily fabricated/massaged data to justify the massive bubble that is their "stock price bro" BS. Wonder if they got marching orders from Musk's bot central or another round of astroturfing to get that 1 trillion comp he so desperately wants from his gullible shareholders.
