Umm. Wasn't this like last year?
I heard sales were up 1500% now that Elon is buying them all. 🤣 Rather than giving Elon a bonus Tesla should just give him all their cyberjunk inventory.
The article literally starts out: "Good morning! It's Tuesday, October 14, 2025."
Sounds good but I suspect the sales to SpaceX are a backdoor way of making NASA buy them with taxpayer money. I doubt he's going to eat all those just to make TSLA look a little better.
Dang, sarcasm my friend. It was a joke. The CyberKKKTruck is a complete failure.
-63% YoY. Good for a p/e ratio of 300.
From dumpster to toilet, at some point waste is waste
Still several thousand idiots buying them per quarter.
True. His broke butt needs all that corporate welfare he can get.
I used to see them constantly around where I live. Hardly at all now. I guess people got sick of em.
I'd rather slap an engine and wheels on a toilet and drive that around than drive a cybertruck.
The whole company should be in the toilet.
"In the dumpster" was right there and they didn't use it. Very disappointed.
He did say the future should look like the future 🧻
I finally got a chance to sit in one. The seats were comfortable and the large screen was nice. That's about the best I can say about it. The doors are so sharp I damn near cut myself opening the door.
Or they fell apart but more likely self-combusted.
In Chicago, IncEL Caminos are most popular on used car sites.
This is exactly why we here in Great Britain banned the Cybertruck. It doesn't comply with our road safety regulations because of its sharp angles.
PT Barnum was right. There's a sucker born every minute.
I hope the front falls off...
With Elon's pay package he could just buy all of Tesla's vehicles (literally) and then get a bigger pay package!
With how smart Elon is supposed to be you would think he would have figured that out by now.
I suppose it'd have to be the back, instead
Love to hear that. Yet the stock is at it's highest ever today at 439.31 Guess those taxi's better work out
I guess Wall Street is bracing itself for the most epic product launch ever Musk tweeted about (or something to that extent) in November Which I am pretty sure will turn out to be a nothingburger (probably a new Robotaxi prototype, Optimus doing something clumsy on stage and Musk stammering and stuttering a lot)
But stupidly, every flush bumps up the meme-stock price. Musk is that last floating turd that just won't go down!
He should buy all of them, and then rent them back to tesla! Creating infinite money.
Epic buy signal!
It's effectively banned for the same reason here in Norway too although i think there is one that's registered where the owner has found a loophole in the law. I think it's registered as a light truck or something.
I don't think the main reason for the poor sales figures, as the author suggests, is actually Musk, but rather that the car is ugly and impractical. Unfortunately, people have a poor memory when it comes to brands or individuals who should be boycotted because of their actions or behavior. In the end, when they make a good deal, they usually don't care. Never underestimate how important design still is for a car. A beautiful car with lousy technology sells better than an ugly car with cutting-edge technology. Mercedes recently proved this with their EQ models; the technology is good, but no one likes the cars. The Cybertruck is ugly AND a bad car; that's the main problem, not Musk. If Musk were smart, he would put a mainstream pickup design on the platform as soon as possible, and the numbers would be at least acceptable.
Yes all those Tesla semi trucks I see out there pulling prodigious loads up the steepest mountain passes, all the roadsters with rockets blasting to 60 mph in under a second, FSD not killing anyone and doors that unlock in an emergency must be driving the stock price up 😂
UK still follows EU type approval rules (as does Norway, Switzerland, Iceland, etc. ) EU rules are actually following the UN's UNECE rules, which China, Japan, Korea, Australia, India, Brazil, Russia,... Also base their rules on. The only countries that don't follow the UNECE are the US and Canada - primarily because the US automakers thought it would protect them from foreign competitors. The reality is it has meant US manufacturers are simply uncompetitive outside the US, because they haven't designed for dual homologation. Something the German, Japanese, Korean, British, and now Chinese manufacturers have been doing for years.
What happened to those reusable rockects that are supposed to carry passengers to the far corners of the planet in an hour?
Musk's extracurricular activities haven't really hurt the CT specifically, rather it's hurt the whole brand. You are right though, it''s a horrible product that no sane person ever would have brought to market. Yeah, but all modern cars are fugly, this is just an extreme example. I can't think of but a couple cars from the last 20-25 years that aren't hideous looking. They are pretty close to those American monstrosities of the 1950s. It's not just the appearance. Even if he made something more traditional like the Rivian, the thing is still $100k! Nobody spends that much on a truck to actually use it as a truck. It's just penis enlargement for insecure minds. \> If Musk were smart, If so, he would be listening to others that work for them and maybe have some sensible products. I'm sure many inside Tesla were quietly mocking it but had no choice but to go along because the big boss insisted on it and they didn't want to risk being fired.
A real man, Martin Eberhard, would have made it much better. Anyone would... Elon wrinkled peep doesn't work so he can only make cars for people like that :)
The only solution to this problem is to give the CEO a huge pay raise.
I was hoping it was due to shame, but I’m not sure those who’d buy them are capable of experiencing that emotion.
That’s what happens when you build POS. They go straight down the toilet.
\> It's not just the appearance. Even if he made something more traditional like the Rivian, the thing is still $100k! Nobody spends that much on a truck to actually use it as a truck. It's just penis enlargement for insecure minds. A new Peterbilt 589 would be about $230k, with a Cummins. And those are all used as trucks. (yeah, yeah, I know that's not what you meant).
Makes you wonder how many times he pulled this act at other desperate times.
Taxis!
Landing on Mars in q1 2024
I'm sure if there was any real accountability people would find all sorts of shady stuff going on at tesla.
If you pay him enough, he’ll come up with a solution!
He wants to make other investors buy them, like SpaceX and xAI investors. He will make Tesla rent GPUs from xAI at exorbitant rates too. Maybe there will be GrokCoin crypto to make grok emit otherwise “forbidden” smut.
NASA says it's looking at SpaceX rivals now for future contracts.
