So that’s where they all went 😂

[deleted] 2025-10-15 01:40

To the ShitMobile!!

LiquidJ_2k 2025-10-15 01:41

SpaceX needs Cybertrucks for ballast.

Pdx_pops 2025-10-15 01:42

Now your trash can become *space trash!*

RockyCreamNHotSauce 2025-10-15 01:44

And the investors are just waiting for Trump to leave before suing for breach of fiduciary duty.

[deleted] 2025-10-15 01:45

Next is shutting down/drastically reducing the size of production line if it hasn’t happened already.  These cars are a very niche product and the pricetag hurts.  If I had that money, I’d be in a Porsche or a Benz.  High end Tesla is an oxymoron from a quality perspective

AppropriateRub4033 2025-10-15 01:46

How's the SpaceX sub spinning this one

Proof_Commercial8470 2025-10-15 01:47

they will turn them into space rocks

Sorry_Exercise_9603 2025-10-15 01:51

Luckily the SEC is dead or using one company to bail out another might get a certain Elon in trouble.

SVTContour 2025-10-15 01:52

I don’t know if that’s genius or idiocracy…

CloudyofThought 2025-10-15 01:53

Nah, they need mod "stainless steel" to stop their rockets from self destructing. Lol

Actual__Wizard 2025-10-15 01:55

Cool guys, isn't that a scheme called "round tripping?"

BrtFrkwr 2025-10-15 01:56

Maybe they'll blast them into space.

Actual__Wizard 2025-10-15 01:56

It legitimately could be a crime. It's a tough one.

Fishy_Fish_WA 2025-10-15 01:56

Maybe they can tow the starship to Mars

WrongThinkBadSpeak 2025-10-15 01:58

beren12 2025-10-15 02:03

Could be?

OkImprovement7142 2025-10-15 02:05

Ok this is diverting quite a bit from Tesla, but mclaren - whilst very expensive also are popular for having pretty shitty QC.

Actual__Wizard 2025-10-15 02:06

Well you know, I'm not a judge, so I can't actually say that it is. But, I'm sure a lawyer could identify if the law appears to be broken or not. I can obviously read it myself, but I can only speculate, as I'm not a lawyer either. It's fair game for me to call it a crime and call them a criminal once that has occurred though. If convicted of a crime, as soon as the judge smacks the gavel down they're permanently a "criminal."

Desperate-Hearing-55 2025-10-15 02:07

Tesla +10% because CyberCan is selling. Cooking the book while goverment shutdown and no one cares to investigate.

5xchamp 2025-10-15 02:07

Ummm- SpaceX or the American taxpayer?

foo-bar-25 2025-10-15 02:11

Shuffling the deck chairs

StanchoPanza 2025-10-15 02:13

one of the primary reasons for building the Cybertruck from stainless steel was to try to lower manufacturing costs for Spacex' Starship

[deleted] 2025-10-15 02:14

McLaren has the racing pedigree and looks to look past the QC. Most super car companies QC doesn't come close to the large manufacturers.

LokeCanada 2025-10-15 02:18

Musk is now just becoming an expert at the shell game, with Trump as his teacher. Funding all of the companies from Tesla. Bailing out investors by having Tesla buy them. Now you move excess stock to one of the companies. Now Tesla will announce sales are up, inventory is down and then SpaceX will do a tax write off on the value of the trucks.

bazookateeth 2025-10-15 02:24

Soooooo basically a ponzi scheme then yeah

VirtualBeyond6116 2025-10-15 02:25

Outside of the usa, you can get the BYD Shark plug in hybrid ev for less than $45k. The truck is amazing. Half the price of a Cybertruck with none of the recalls and without the megalomaniac, ketamine addicted, social media addicted conman. For the price and obnoxious look of the truck, you'd expect it to actually work. The thing is on like it's 7th recall now.

llXeleXll 2025-10-15 02:27

Seems like some clear self dealing. Elon: One of my companies which receives tax payer money is bailing out my other company since we made a shitty product nobody wants to buy.

SVTContour 2025-10-15 02:29

I don’t know if that’s genius or idiocracy…

Lopsided_Quarter_931 2025-10-15 02:32

Lmao can’t make this up

VirtualBeyond6116 2025-10-15 02:35

Yeah, it's self-dealing. It violates fiduciary duty. Not sure if the tesla stockholders care that he's able to dump useless inventory onto another company and increase revenue, but not sure if this would be an actual crime. If The shareholders of spacex werent Elon loyalists, they could file a civil suit or force Elon out as ceo. Also, it's almost like cooking the books. The unsold trucks of your company a have a low value, but company b that you own is paying full price for junk no one wants? Makes no sense. Company A gets a nice bump on their income statement selling something at a high price that would not sell anywhere else at a low price. Then It goes against the best interests of the company B and shows the interests of the owner are not aligned. Elon did this with solar city. It was a complete scam company that him and his brother owned, then as major shareholders of tesla, they got the board to vote to buy solar city. The company didn't even have any real products at the time except batteries (power wall), vaporeware, and a fake sound stage studio to pretend the company was powering all the houses. I don't think the power wall and solar panels ever took off cause the cost is so high and it leans on govt subsidies heavily to make the price attractive while competing companies can deliver much cheaper panels and batteries. I think a few versions of the little solar tiles never worked. Anyway, I don't think any govt agency is gonna do anything to investigate this for the next 3 years at least. Unless Elon posts some mean tweets about trump. But we've learned from Trump and Elon. The more you let them get away with sht, the more sht they'll keep doing.

CareBearOvershare 2025-10-15 02:37

Does that actually apply for a private company?

BrainwashedHuman 2025-10-15 02:38

By burying their head in the sand

Actual__Wizard 2025-10-15 02:41

>and a fake sound stage studio to pretend the company was powering all the houses Yeah I remember that. And the limited panels they did produce didn't match the demos. So, it was smoke and mirrors.

AllyMcfeels 2025-10-15 02:47

Enron Musk

Oceanbreeze871 2025-10-15 02:56

Musk company buying overstock from another musk company with tax payer money.

CreamCapital 2025-10-15 03:02

Yes. It is still inflating the sales of a public companies financials through a related party transaction

Sasquatchgoose 2025-10-15 03:06

Maybe he can swap some cyber trucks for nvidia chips?

AppropriateRub4033 2025-10-15 03:41

did it?

VirtualBeyond6116 2025-10-15 03:43

yeah, to anyone watching the video, you thought they were in a neighborhood and all the homes were powered from SolarCity roof tiles with solar panels embedded in them. It wasn't a neighborhood, and the homes were not powered by the tiles. It was smoke, mirrors, and fake tiles. Like that company called the Nikola. That was all on stage and fake. The video demo they had of the semi going down the road was simply a slope and the truck was just rolling down a small grade hill. Elon has essentially done the same with multiple products. Btw, I think the Nikola conman got a pardon from Trump, not 100% sure but I believe so. The hyperloop, Solar-city, the Roadster, the promises of the roadster getting over 1200 miles on a charge. and the Battery swap for teslas. The battery swap was just a video demo and a fake car. Somehow elon got tax credits or a loan from the govt based on that scam. The best thing for Elon was for Trump to win the White House. It was not $300 million spent to get Trump elected. It was an investment and a way to keep from being investigated.

VirtualBeyond6116 2025-10-15 03:45

Don't forget SolarCity. A separate, scam company that Elon and his brother created, then forced Tesla to buy as major shareholders of tesla. they got the board to vote to buy solar city. The company didn't even have any real products at the time except batteries (power wall), vaporware, and a fake sound stage studio to pretend the company was powering all the houses. to anyone watching the video, you thought they were in a neighborhood and all the homes were powered from SolarCity roof tiles with solar panels embedded in them. It wasn't a neighborhood, and the homes were not powered by the tiles. It was smoke, mirrors, and fake tiles. I don't think the power wall and solar panels ever took off cause the cost is so high and it leans heavily on govt subsidies to make the price attractive while competing companies can deliver much cheaper panels and batteries. I think a few versions of the little solar tiles never worked.

VirtualBeyond6116 2025-10-15 03:47

Or the awful trucks get dumped on Mars. Americas garbage vehicles become the garbage vehicles of Mars. Problem solved. As bad as Mars looks, it would look worse littered with Cybertrucks.

Actual__Wizard 2025-10-15 03:48

I'm serious when I say this: I think Elon is legitimately trying to break every finance and corporate law there is, so he can become like the "ultimate criminal icon." When it finally does come crashing down, we'll just be thinking "okay so, they didn't follow any laws at all, I understand how they made so much money now... They used the law, that most people interpret as a guide on what not to do, as a guide on what *to do.*"

tyler98786 2025-10-15 04:06

Good. They're even more trash than the regular teslas

[deleted] 2025-10-15 04:14

McLaren are also basically or mostly hand-built. When you building by hand, there is just an expectation of variation, the same way you would with a kit or custom car. It's just never going to be perfect.

Opcn 2025-10-15 04:21

You mean you don't think most people out to spend $100K+ on a vehicle are interested in one that has the trim taped on to the outside?

LokeCanada 2025-10-15 04:28

Solar panels never took off due to cells coming out of China. There were a few companies that were extremely subsidized and they still had to fold as they could not compete. Musk also tried to do it as a franchise. They couldn’t get the logistics side organized or the people to buy into the franchise. People ordered and were looking at year or more waits. The government finally had to drop the subsidies as they were throwing money into a deep, dark hole. You have to realize that Musk doesn’t make money off of an actual product. Everything he has is bleeding millions per month. His profit is subsidies and credits. He has made more money off carbon credits than anything else. Subsidy folded and so did the solar cell business.

cockcoldton 2025-10-15 04:44

Spacex lives of government subsidies, Elmo is just using your money to bail out Tesla while pumping the stock.

PresidentSpanky 2025-10-15 05:02

all these Musk companies are reminiscent of Ponzi schemes. SpaceX would never have made money if it hadn’t sold a lot of launches to Starlink.

Agreed! If he's is NOT doing that, then it's just a coincidence and I can't tell the difference. It's anti-social personality disorder. Him and trump suffer from it, along with megalomania, malignant narcissistic personality disorder, addiction to social media, and being sadistic. With anti-social personality disorder, idiots that have gotten away with so much over the years start to feel invincible. It's a high they get,,, and then a crash at times. These born-wealthy conmen who had every opportunity in the world, never had to live in reality or struggle in life. So, their disorder says they don't have to follow basic rules, laws don't apply to them, societal norms are for peasants, they can rip people off with no consequences cause they're rich, the poor people who got scammed can't fight back, they can talk their way out of any accountability, etc. It's when they're in some serious trouble theyre crashed out. They're sad victims. everyone is so mean to them,, and everything is so unfair. Just look at trump when he had his court case in NYC or Georgia, he was a sad pathetic man who sww himself as a victim. All the talking he did of being a victim or how it's all lies was just grandstanding and part of his disorder cause when it came time for his testimony, he waived his right. The only time to shut these guys up is to call them to the stand. Elon was almost in tears when the masses started to see him for what he is. Elon is fcking with people's social security, cutting 300k federal jobs, just laying all those people off without warning, laughing about it, waving around a chainsaw. When people were roasting him online or roasting his teslas, he was crying ironically wondering how people could be so cruel. Yeah, I used to be a massive Elon fan so I feel the need to call it out. That Thailand cave Rescue was the 1st time I realized he might be a con, and then finding out around the same time the solar city presentation was staged.

ianishomer 2025-10-15 05:57

Not just for the CT if the level of sales continues to drop, particularly in Europe

lelarentaka 2025-10-15 06:01

What does China has to do with this disaster? It's pure americium.

iftlatlw 2025-10-15 06:13

So they can pump up sales numbers then write them off? The Tesla crash is getting closer.

VirtualBeyond6116 2025-10-15 06:14

But solar panels and batteries did exist as a product long before solar city. What Elon did at that demonstration was essentially lie and commit fraud. Then he forced tesla to buy a separate company that he and his brother created, that did have some crossover, but not a lot. Then he sold that product to customers which was complete chaos and after sales support was nonexistent for a while and some jobs not even being completed. He bascially sold something to customers he didn't fully have and thought he could "figure it out". Like the Roadster, battery swap tech, or the hyperloop. And you're correct with the subsidies and credits. So it's weird to see all this disdain Elon has for the us govt and for paying taxes. US taxpayers are the ones who have bailed him out, financed his companies, and made him beyond wealthy. Somehow the guy just seems miserable and wants to take it out on us.

Actual__Wizard 2025-10-15 06:21

These people have this very strange "mono level view of the world" where all they see is one thing. I don't know what he sees, but common things are property, power, money. Everything they do is based upon increasing whatever it is. Legitimately nothing else matters else to them.

CRXCRZ 2025-10-15 06:30

This is true. Almost 28k at it's peak. ..but GM didn't build a huge new factory with unique tooling for stainless steel with a production rate 10x the actual sales.

Rolling_Pugsly 2025-10-15 06:41

boofles1 2025-10-15 06:49

It's weird that Musk is propping up Tesla with SpaceX though as he has a lot less equity in Tesla. I guess he is worried about getting margin called on his Tesla shares but the whole thing doesn't make a lot of sense.

NotFromMilkyWay 2025-10-15 07:02

Makes sense. Going 30 mph on a flat asphalt runway to and from the launchpad is probably the only use case where it doesn't break.

EmilyFara 2025-10-15 07:11

SpaceX is mainly funded by the American government through NASA contacts

JustSomebody56 2025-10-15 07:34

If Tesla collapses, his image as a businessman/tech genius would get totally annihilated. (It has already been heavily damaged, but Tesla collapsing would be the nail in the coffin, and probably cause his unwilling resignation from the board of SpaceX. Also the ego)

Chilli71 2025-10-15 07:40

Does the US military not need shooting targets anymore? Maybe I forgot that Musk is not Trumps favorite anymore.

vxicepickxv 2025-10-15 08:44

Musk has his wealth in Tesla stock value. SpaceX is not publicly traded. This is Musk nakedly proping up his wealth with taxpayer funds from SpaceX by papering over another of his failures.

That-Whereas3367 2025-10-15 08:46

Elmo is terrified of being margin called. His real net worth is almost certainly zero or even negative. The richest man title is based on Tesla trading at 20x it's intrinsic value and an absolutely nonsensical valuation of SpaceX.

kaninkanon 2025-10-15 08:54

The spacex subs will just delete any mention of it. They are highly editorialized. Just like spacexlounge has a sticky saying "This sub is not about Musk. it does not endorse him, nor does it attack him." to justify deletion of any negativity, while they still keep a list of "musk-related" subreddits that have nothing to do with spacex in the sidebar.

achtwooh 2025-10-15 09:05

Did he claim the $7500 subsidy on these? The American tax payer is getting absolutely rinsed here.

LostFaithlessness201 2025-10-15 12:00

Tesla probably will pump on this news eventhough it is internally lol

homoiconic 2025-10-15 12:08

Yes. SpaceX bought the wrong kind of stainless steel and sold it to Tesla to make the CyberTruck, thus saving his private company money by spending from a company funded by investors. It's related entity transactions all the way down.

AlexGaming1111 2025-10-15 12:22

Yeah but Tesla is the only thing that actually has value. His Tesla stock represents all the liquidity he has. SpaceX, starlink can only raise money for the company not for Elon musk. Tesla is how he bought Twitter. Tesla is how he funds everything.

AppropriateRub4033 2025-10-15 12:24

Sounds dodgy as fuck

AlexGaming1111 2025-10-15 12:24

And who funds and pays for starlink? Because it's not retail. It's government agencies and governmental contracts that are way too expensive for what they offer. That's why he wants to get in the FAA system too. To fund his failing companies with US tax money.

That-Whereas3367 2025-10-15 12:27

Elmo had borrowed tens of BILLIONS against Tesla stock. If it falls below an agreed price he will be margin called by his lenders. It will led to a cascade of selling because he has no way to cover his calls (no liquid assets). Because he is by FAR the largest shareholder (15.7%) it will be a total trainwreck.

bonfuto 2025-10-15 12:34

I feel like the eventual plan is to shoot them into space, alongside that roadster.

mishap1 2025-10-15 12:36

How does SpaceX go about buying a grade of stainless so poor that it can't even hold up to consumer vehicle wear and tear and then need to offload it? They probably could have called up Haier or Frigidaire and sold it to them to make a budget line for less than whatever headache they created with that.

ionizing_chicanery 2025-10-15 12:54

His Tesla's equity is perhaps more readily accepted as loan collateral.

Colonol-Panic 2025-10-15 12:57

I’m not saying he’s not over-leveraged. I’m saying a margin call is a specific broker action on securities regulated by FINRA. You’re thinking of something like a loan collateral call or a secured loan default cascade.

VirtualBeyond6116 2025-10-15 12:59

They'd murder the US auto industry. So it's got a 104% tariff or 210% tariff depending on trumps mood.

Nothing to see here folks, just your standard cup game shifting things around to make it seem like they sold a bunch of cars and strip tax payer dollars out of the government. Carry on everyone.

That-Whereas3367 2025-10-15 13:18

Totally false. Stock can be legally transferred off-market without using a broker or exchange. Elmo's creditors directly hold his stock as security and can sell (on or off-market) if he breaches the covenant.

Colonol-Panic 2025-10-15 13:18

Which would be a loan collateral call not a margin call.

Quiet_Government2222 2025-10-15 14:14

himswim28 2025-10-15 14:52

> Musk is propping up Tesla with SpaceX That detail wasn't in the article. Could be transferred to SpaceX for a couple thousand per Truck, and the rest is written off as something like goodwill, or similar at Tesla. I suspect it is more fleecing of Tesla in a way that can be made to look good on the books somewhere for a few quarters, then corrected at some future point to hide the real cost.

neonmantis 2025-10-15 16:31

Like many business people he got lucky. Got booted from Paypal but ended up with a chunk of cash, just happened to have an interest in cars and stumbled across Tesla, made his investment, and then hundreds of billions in direct and indirect subsidies to catalyse development and sales of EVs because of a climate emergency did the rest. Take away that climate change moment, that he simply leveraged to profit from, and Tesla never emerges. Without Tesla other companies would have stepped up to better fill the market and claim whatever subsidies they can. If Gates never existed someone else would have inevitably created another visual based OS. These people aren't incredible genius', they are simply in the right place at the right time, and have the time / money / resources to execute. We lionise and reward these people with more money than god when they are all just making incremental steps on top of generations of previous advancements.

reddddiiitttttt 2025-10-15 18:33

It’s like they had a business plan or something! Those bastards, how dare they make a profitable product that uses their services!

reddddiiitttttt 2025-10-15 18:40

He’s not. Tesla has no use for the excess CyberTrucks. SpaceX has a need for support vehicles. The expiring tax credit means the market softened. The stupid thing was supporting a president working against the climate goals that Tesla is in a leading position to take advantage of. Offloading the trucks kills two birds with one stone. It’s brilliant.

reddddiiitttttt 2025-10-15 18:46

Uh, pretty sure every rags to riches CEO had a bit of luck. Musk made SpaceX and Tesla from scratch. Even with luck that takes tons of resources, risk, and skill. You can hate Musk, for good reason, just don’t call him incompetent. He is brilliant and fucked up. You don’t have to be a good person to be successful.

BringBackUsenet 2025-10-15 18:46

I'm waitiing for the rest of the story which I'm sure ends with how SpaceX somehow puts this on the books so it's paid for by some government contract or another.

BringBackUsenet 2025-10-15 18:49

It's been a couple years but the last I saw quality rankings for cars, Tesla ranked 3rd from last place but last place went to...... Mercedes! VW products all have a long history of quality issues.

BringBackUsenet 2025-10-15 18:50

That's what I suspect is happening. I'm sure this is all being charged to project codes where the government pays for them. It would be ironic to have the GAO look into this.

reddddiiitttttt 2025-10-15 18:50

Between SpaceX and Boeing are you trying to argue that SpaceX is the one that bilked the government out of billions of dollars? Musk’s big problem isn’t that he is a shady businessman, it’s that he has a fucked up world view with no empathy for anyone less fortunate than him. He’s a very good CEO, just keep him the fuck out of politics. Blame Citizen’s United. Musk is just playing the game the Supreme Court rigged for him.

It makes perfect sense if the "purchases" are being done on behalf of some particular government contract where the taxpayers end up stuck with them.

BringBackUsenet 2025-10-15 18:53

The collapse is inevitable as with all bubbles.

BringBackUsenet 2025-10-15 18:54

They only try to make him look good because they have a stake in keeping his mythology alive too. Accessories to he criminal empire.

BringBackUsenet 2025-10-15 18:57

It would be easy for him to bill these to some government contracts, probably NASA. Otherwise it makes no sense to buy those with his own money, when he's only holding a small piece of TSLA.

BringBackUsenet 2025-10-15 18:59

Given the history of Chinese quality, I'll pass on that too.

BringBackUsenet 2025-10-15 19:02

His business empire is loaded with conflicts of interest. Any normal responsible company would have thrown him off the board a long time ago.

BringBackUsenet 2025-10-15 19:03

Cult members are going to drink that Kool Aid.

BringBackUsenet 2025-10-15 19:05

The Aztek was considerably less than $100k, and able to haul more than a couple sixpacks.

BringBackUsenet 2025-10-15 19:06

The idea really wasn't that bad but it was fugly as hell and still a shitty GM product.

BringBackUsenet 2025-10-15 19:07

Write-off? I think they will probably bill them to NASA or some other contract.

BringBackUsenet 2025-10-15 19:10

Tesla's board is just a bunch of yes-men going along with anything he says to suck out their own parasitic existence. His fraud doesn't exist in a vacuum. He has a lot of accomplices.

theaviationhistorian 2025-10-15 19:12

Whatever handlers he had with Tesla and SpaceX left considering there was no cleanup or fixing Elon and the sane ones left probably jumped ship when Elon went full Nazi. If Elon has handlers right now, it'd be a bunch of yes-men.

BringBackUsenet 2025-10-15 19:14

The solar panels don't work. The power wall isn't an original idea. It's just fancy packaging for a UPS. It's funny how quickly they make everyone forget all these half baked ideas. All Musk's ventures are nothing but dog and pony shows. They deliver just enough to keep the fantasy alive. I can't believe people eat up his bullshit. Seeing a guy in tights dancing and trying to sell it as some future robot has to be the ultimate in ridiculous. Where's that new model S they promised?

BringBackUsenet 2025-10-15 19:17

Don't forget those 130MPH autonomous taxis under Vegas that carry passengers for only $1. What was delivered: an underground traffic jam in tunnels with no emergency exits. A death trap in the waiting.

BringBackUsenet 2025-10-15 19:18

L. Ron Musk.

BringBackUsenet 2025-10-15 19:19

Nah, I'm sure it's listed under some government contract so the taxpayers eat the cost.

BringBackUsenet 2025-10-15 19:19

Venus makes much more sense.

BringBackUsenet 2025-10-15 19:20

Taxpayer via SpaceX.

BringBackUsenet 2025-10-15 19:21

Only if they don't turn on FSD, or try to open the doors during a fire.

SolutionWarm6576 2025-10-15 19:31

Yeah. Good point. Most likely.

MarchMurky8649 2025-10-15 19:49

Given Musk fell out with Trump might the SEC not do something?

vxicepickxv 2025-10-15 21:00

Okay bot. Whatever you say.

phophofofo 2025-10-15 21:59

And also I’m sure the cost is being rolled into SpaceX government contracts and the cost is being passed to us to financial this

judgeysquirrel 2025-10-15 22:45

Tesla existed before musk. He's a brilliant business man, but not the genius behind the technology in the products. Being a total douchebag is very helpful for most businessmen.

Dangerous_Common_869 2025-10-15 22:52

You missed his last sentence. You see. There are no creative people or geniuses. Everyone one is just adding a small layer of paint to generations of progress. This is a common repeated statement from people within a certain type of post-modern, western subculture particular clustered within Marketing (modern propaganda) jobs. They also say, "everything has been done". They love to quote popular science journalism, uncritically/reverently. They feel patents are a silly waste of time, and feel nothing has any meaning or purpose, generally through a glib treatment of the word "relative", not seemingly understanding what the word actually means. Essentially, they are part of a science (actually sci-fi) cult who self-acclaim as nerd, the REAL geniuses, but don't act with much skepticism about the cherry-picked explanations of writings from people who entrench their worldview, which isn't very scientific. People like Kingly were never discredited and disgraced for academic fraud--which doesn't exist--and little is actually known about 1930's physics and philosophy beyond decades of a telephone game played upon the laymen summarizations from the time period. And literature and art are just systemizations that can and should be repeated. All one needs is Cambell's hero's journey check list and enough money to properly market the next art franchise. I'm considerably surprised you weren't down-voted.

neonmantis 2025-10-16 01:12

> Musk made SpaceX and Tesla from scratch. Scratch? SpaceX is a company that's primary success is making mild improvements on existing tech. Any new stuff they've made tends to not exist or fail. Tesla had a prototype already, what do you think he invested in? > just don’t call him incompetent. His management of Tesla in the past five years is spectacularly incompetent. His management of his public perception moving from a loved hero to legit the most disliked public figure in the US, and hated even more in Europe, is unparalled. He clearly isn't a good person either.

VirtualBeyond6116 2025-10-16 02:11

I forgot which area it was, but they just straight up closed it. Barely even started. Elon makes everything sound so good at those presentations. I think now no one is taking him seriously.

VirtualBeyond6116 2025-10-16 02:23

Yeah, Elon makes 10 promises, half delivers on 2, delivers 10% of another, and ignores the other 7. Then throws a rally for himself. Robotaxis were supposed to be a thing 8 years ago. The promise of letting your car drop you at work and then become a taxi to earn you money never happened. Imagine getting your car back after 8hrs and 50ppl being in it. Those robots being voiced by actors was so obvious. Who was he fooling? His videos showing them performing all kinds of tasks were so highly edited and faked. Then he was claiming his Optimus robots would generate $1 trillion dollars in revenue. He will say anything to keep that stock price high while his board cashes out. I gotta admit, I fell for the solar city scam. It was a few months later I heard it was all staged, and thats around the time I heard his sales/delivery/install of the panels and battery packs was going terribly. Where is the roadster? Elon took all the money to deliver a car. He basically sold a car that didn't exist yet with "give me the money, and I'll build it. And it will go 500 miles on a single charge, no 1000 miles, no wait, 2000 miles.". Watch the ThunderF00t videos. Hes been showing what a conman Elon is for the last 10yrs or so, maybe more. He's actually gone to the hyperloop sites while Elon was making all these promises to show it was all lies. And he's all over the Space X scams.

VirtualBeyond6116 2025-10-16 02:25

But think about this. That Chinese made truck is a better built truck than the American built Cybertruck. It's sad to type that or say it out loud.

BringBackUsenet 2025-10-16 02:33

Men landing on Mars was supposed to happen last year. The new roadster seems to be conveniently forgottten. I think Thunderfoot's stuff is poorly produced and highly redundant, but I have to credit him with sticking to the facts. I saw a video of that big presentation in Tx. It was hilarious seeing all the robots lose power after about 45 min. and they really weren't much more than what I saw at Disneyland back in the 1960s. When the robots were "working" it was pretty obvious they were under human control and all being escorted by humans, probably to head off anyone trying to test their true abilities. I'm also sure the robotaxis were on a preprogrammed path. Welcome to the grand illusion!

BringBackUsenet 2025-10-16 02:37

That remains to be seen but maybe over time these Chinese companies will get there. Not that everything from China is bad, but it seems the only quality stuff is coming from older companies based outside China. Even American products have gone to shit over the last few decades. I don't think I'd ever buy a Ford or GM product again!

Antique_Value6027 2025-10-16 04:22

when, not if

VirtualBeyond6116 2025-10-16 05:12

On the brightside, gasoline will get cheaper in the next couple of years as more Chinese evs flood the market. They've fully embraced the EV revolution. In 5 years it will become harder to get an ice vehicle in Asia. I actually have a byd. I've got the sealion 6. It's a PHEV. Full charge gives me 60 miles and a full tank of 15 gallons gives me almost 700 miles. It makes gasoline an option vs a costly necessity. So far the vehicle has been awesome to drive and I still haven't used a full tank of gas in 5 months. Our electric bill only went up about $17 a month. Imagine operating your car for less than $200-250 per year. Its insane.

VirtualBeyond6116 2025-10-16 05:24

And he's miserable, hid kids don't like him, he's addicted to social media, addicted to ketamine, and believes somehow we don't deserve democracy. Him and theil just seem so miserable and it's as if they believe ruling over us like we are peasants and they are deities in control of everything and to be worshipped MIGHT make them finally happy. The more they increase their wealth (property, money, power), the angrier and more miserable they seem to become,,, and the more awful they look. Billionaires like Bezos and Cuban seem like they're having the best times of their lives. I can see Peter theil harvesting the blood of 1000 babies on the chance it might extend his life 5 more years.

Beartrkkr 2025-10-16 06:03

It’s the American way…

Sad-Introduction-783 2025-10-16 06:40

Are they going to trash the moon with them?

ChollyWheels 2025-10-16 17:21

One of the mysteries is how much Mr. Musk's empire is dependant on loans secured by Tesla shares.

Dangerous_Common_869 2025-10-17 01:33

Essentially, it's not an original thought (the last sentence) but rather the repetition of a a common line from a group of people: an ideology.

christmascake 2025-10-17 05:12

I still think about how he fired the charging infrastructure team because the head of the division, a woman, said 'no' to him Charging stations are one of their biggest advantages!

VirtualBeyond6116 2025-10-17 05:50

Yeh, it seems hilarious now all the landing on mars predictions. Or before he did his sieg heil at the inauguration, musk was bragging how "we are going To mars. How awesome is that?". Everyone cheered. Grand illusion indeed.

OneCode7122 2025-10-18 00:08

Starlink is a wholly owned subsidiary of SpaceX 🤦🏼‍♂️

PrestigiousHippo7 2025-10-18 06:21

Are these Crazy Eddie Antar inventory scams?

M3L03Y 2025-10-21 22:34

He practically stole Tesla and pushed out the actual cofounders.
