Tesla Insurance is ***notorious*** for being awful, even the Insurance sub hates them and they don’t typically criticize individual carriers. Autobody sub hates them for the reasons outlined in the article. Also I worked on the backend side Tesla’s insurance product in California. They were cheap as hell even on a commercial/corporate level, and they were dragging their feet heavily for millions of dollars owed. Not going to say much more than that.

Oh, so the insurance arm treats its customers just like the automotive production arm treats its suppliers.

Gee, who could have predicted this would happen.

Amazing! I filed a complaint recently because I was never able to get through on the phone.. the general number was just endlessly on hold, and my claims adjuster’s voicemail was full and he never answered either. Total shit service. Glad these complaints actually led to action!

Well there's a shock. They run their insurance as shitty as they run their fucking car company.

Tesla insurance has been losing money for awhile now.

Potential Tesla customers - this is how they treat you.

Tesla not delivering on a contractual promise? I'm shocked. Shocked I tell you! /s

Tesla is to electric cars as what syphilis is to human reproductive health.

Not a tesla owner but does the name “state national” for the parent insurance company raise anyone’s eyebrows?
