I’m putting the over/under for Q4 at 150,000.

What I want to know is: how many cars did Tesla buy from itself to get the remaining EV tax credit onto their books? Key metric is profitability and booked assets. But they will probably play some games where those assets do not devalue as 0 mile cars...

481 deliveries. 435 produced... Okay, so 46k weren't sold in the prior timeframe and how far did you shut down production to flog them off? And only 12.5gw? That's not even 10% of what Elon promised! He said 550-700 PER YEAR ( /4=183) Not a word about Solar Panels either. That's the 5 time in a row they kept quiet about Solar Ghost Town. \--- At the OP : dude, take screenshots, this is Tesla!!! THEY WILL CHANGE OR DELETE if necessary. [https://postimg.cc/gndgTKPk](https://postimg.cc/gndgTKPk)

Ford and GM did as well, so they can re sell them later with the credit.

Either they'll sell them if possible, of lease them, more likely. There must be A LOT available now.

They self-bought all their stock to get the EV tax credit, not sure how long they'll take to resell/lease them.

stockhounder 2025-10-03 12:44

Exactly! They can't be the only ones doing this...

"Financially Delivered" Aka channel stuffing.

🫱🏾‍🫲🏽 the old Canadian buy back trick, get all the EV rebates but still have the same amount of inventory.

Is there a distinction between "sold" and "produced but not sold" in this number? Just asking out of ignorance. I didn't bother reading the document.
