Now there is over 1 million powerwalls, how many have the recall?

Far_Addition1210 | 2025-09-22 18:03 | 137 views

It seems Tesla Powerwalls all over the world have been bricked and Tesla have tried to keep it super quiet. Replacing a power wall is $5000 at least, multiplied by 1m is a big hit.

Nobody cares, look at the stock price. It's hilarious. I hope they get hit hard financially

y4udothistome 2025-09-22 18:28

The terrible thing is it won’t even make headlines where it matters

bassbeatsbanging 2025-09-22 18:31

Bold to assume they will replace all the ones they are obligated to.

Fuskeduske 2025-09-22 18:36

It won’t, TSLA is the most out of touch with reality stock out there

SolutionWarm6576 2025-09-22 18:40

I believe their Powerwall division is losing money too. Along with Tesla insurance. lol.

Far_Addition1210 2025-09-22 18:50

Losing money everywhere, Cybertruck, dodgy Powerwall's and car sales eroding.

wootnootlol 2025-09-22 18:56

Leon bank account division is extremely profitable and that’s the only thing that matters.

Aggressive_Metal_268 2025-09-22 18:57

Popcorn sales at the diner should offset most of those losses.

Fuzzy_Inevitable9748 2025-09-22 19:12

What if TSLA is actually completely in touch with reality, and that is one of blatant corruption on a one way road to straight up fascism?

The recall affected the batteries from one of their production companies and only the batteries made between 2022 and 2023 so I don’t think it’s that high because during that time nem 2 was still around which means batteries weren’t needed.

Far_Addition1210 2025-09-22 19:33

What is NEM 2? I'm in the UK.

DotJun 2025-09-22 19:38

Net metering. Under nem 1 and 2 the power grid acts as your battery as far as solar credits go.

zedk47 2025-09-22 19:38

Finan-what?

Far_Addition1210 2025-09-22 19:42

How would that affect powerwall sales worldwide? They sold 1m PW2s so 1m may need replacing.

Belgarablue 2025-09-22 22:22

TSLA has been a meme stock from day one. There is absolutely nothing to back the valuation, except idiot fanbois.

Shootels 2025-09-23 02:43

Friend’s solar/PW just shut down out of nowhere. 2 months to fix. This could cost 100s of dollars due to Tesla incompetence.

DotJun 2025-09-23 02:48

If you had bought a battery that was made from that particular plant between the years of 2022-2023 then you could be affected. The articles have not stated if all of the panels that vendor produced during those years were not to spec. So the number is far less than 1 million since the bad ones only came from one vendor during that one year.

SisterOfBattIe 2025-09-23 07:44

The fun begins when Musk sends an OTA to brick each end EVERY Tesla on the road with a malicious OTA update on his way out from Tesla ;)

zjbird 2025-09-23 20:47

Thank god he's not that tech savvy.

MaterialRestaurant18 2025-09-23 23:54

It might appear that way but the funds are forced to buy bc indexed and the traders are hedging by buying any stock with large short exposure. They just don't tell you that as they're in the business of skimming. They don't care if it goes up or down. They have hedging specialists and departments for a reason. Tesla will go bankrupt but it'll take 3 or 4 quarters in a row with negative revenue, then it'll be kicked out of sp500 but not nasdaq and there the panic sales will start. The rich will have cashed out by then. The insiders have 2 or 3 month information advantage the dumb bagholders will be regular people. Or tesla fans, much deserved. This is how it will pan out unless massive accounting fraud is being prosecuted or a government intervenes in a radical way.

Moof_the_cyclist 2025-09-24 00:42

PE of 252. Falling sales and market share. Reality need not apply.

[deleted] 2025-09-27 16:26

It seems a recent issue. I imagine the last 3-6m Their battery suppliers will tell them which walls. Remember. Tesla doesn't do shit in terms of batteries or solar.
