Atactos 2025-09-08 12:41

Positive news, means the company is not anymore a car company!1!1!1 bullish

Far_Addition1210 2025-09-08 12:45

Research in motion.

Far_Addition1210 2025-09-08 12:49

I_Am_AI_Bot 2025-09-08 13:06

Enron already said Tesla is now a humanoid robot company, who f*** cares the car sales.

6425 2025-09-08 13:10

Sans the research.

jiminuatron 2025-09-08 13:10

Turkey sales easily covers that. Bullish!

New_Half_6055 2025-09-08 13:13

Not a car company anymore, not making money anymore, we're up baby!!

Andy_Fish_Gill 2025-09-08 13:14

This bad news means Tesla stock will be up strong again today!

Content-Tower6193 2025-09-08 13:15

But after 3 months, they now have ~30 Robotaxis with safety driver. Bullish.

Ultraeasymoney 2025-09-08 13:17

Stock Up, makes perfect sense.

VirginiaLuthier 2025-09-08 13:19

My dear spouse just bought a Chevy Equinox EV. Pretty much superior in fit and finish to my neighbor's Tesla. Drives like a dream

South-Play-2866 2025-09-08 13:22

Super bullish. The stock can finally go to $400 Thank you for the blessing

chriskiji 2025-09-08 13:24

What a fraud!

dtyamada 2025-09-08 13:30

Market share is for suckers. Growth is where it's at. What's that, growth is likely to be negative for the second year in a row? We've still got almost 40% of the EV market. To the moon!!!

palopp 2025-09-08 13:32

TSLA. Stock is sky high because it will have a monopoly in any market they enter. When that monopoly doesn’t come true, they will enter another market where they surely have monopoly this time. The old overvalued growth-stock share price is the old baseline and will have to go up to account for the coming monopoly in the new markets. Rinse and repeat for perpetual reasons for stock price increases. Who cares about revenue. Tesla has been predicted to dominate so many market spaces so it surely will succeed. No need to check out the track record on those predictions.

PowerFarta 2025-09-08 13:34

Hey hey dont forget about the five cars in India. They sold zero before so its an INFINITY PERCENT increase

Ok_Match9012 2025-09-08 13:46

It doesn't matter given that Robo taxis are supposed to save the company. 🙄 "If somebody doesn't believe that Tesla is going to solve autonomy, I think they should not be an investor in the company," CEO Elon Musk

UmichAgnos 2025-09-08 13:48

They changed the goalposts entirely. They've abandoned cars. Now we're supposed to evaluate them on growth of humanoid robots, no idea what for though. There is no market for humanoid robots. It's only an odd ball happenstance that we now have "AI" so it'll be cool to stuff an "AI" in a human-like body. If you're going to make a robot, its task is more than likely to be specialized, making a specialized form more efficient. It's the reason why washing machines don't look like rosey from the jetsons + a washboard.

Bnrmn88 2025-09-08 13:51

It's not a car company its AI or something

grifinmill 2025-09-08 14:00

Yet the stock is up.

EconomyDoctor3287 2025-09-08 14:04

Time to hand Musky a $1 trillion payday for this brilliance

Secondchance002 2025-09-08 14:06

Nazi’s net worth up

ShotBandicoot7 2025-09-08 14:22

Aaand the best of it: they sell those rides 5x cheaper than competition. They must be hugely profitable on this very soon.

rolingua 2025-09-08 14:22

So, if Tesla isn't a car company. And many riders in major cities around the world will never take Robotaxi, how will they fund autonomy?

SpectrumWoes 2025-09-08 14:31

How much was it if you don’t mind telling? Was it under $35k?

VirginiaLuthier 2025-09-08 14:32

Right at $34K. And then there is the $7,500 tax rebate , but that ends 9/30/25 Edit- ok, I'm not sure if the dealer took out the tax rebate, which would obviously put it into the $40s. She has her finances, and I have mine...

MrBaneCIA 2025-09-08 14:32

Once Optimus starts driving the robotaxi, that's where the real savings begin!

SpectrumWoes 2025-09-08 14:33

Solid deal!

VirginiaLuthier 2025-09-08 14:35

It was AWD- we have snow and hills where I live- so that adds a few thousand

panconquesofrito 2025-09-08 14:35

Who’s still buying these cars? lol

dkwinsea 2025-09-08 14:45

They are Losing share % of the ev market. But at best in 2024 they had 4.9% of the total car market.

Clockwork385 2025-09-08 14:57

Just to add to this. Their total market share is something like 3 or 4%. Toyota is 15%... Just to put into perspective how crazy the stock evaluation is. Looking at their stock price you would think their market share is 99%.

beren12 2025-09-08 15:06

That’s the unlimited money glitch. They can sell all the robots to themselves forever.

beren12 2025-09-08 15:07

If only people would do that. Zero is a number.

vonwwijk 2025-09-08 15:10

leave the counting to trump 😆

Big_footed_hobbit 2025-09-08 15:14

Only 1.1T? I mean ruining the USA and helping to elect a King that tries to turn the whole place into a dictatorship should be worth 10T imagine Tesla manufacturing concentration camps that produce weapons like rockets and tanks with labor slaves. Just as the big idol with the beard. Am I right that this is the grand sceme?

bonfuto 2025-09-08 15:18

News came out that Musk doesn't want to sell cars any more, seems like that's going to happen sooner than anyone thought.

MrBaneCIA 2025-09-08 15:18

Once the robots start selling AI investment opportunities to each other we've truly reached AGI.

Slight_Pomelo_1008 2025-09-08 15:19

Still idiots buy cars from a company which is not a car company.

DistributedView 2025-09-08 15:22

Putting it into even more perspective. Tesla's market cap is more than VW + Ford + GM + Toyota + Daimler + BMW + .....

I_am_Regarded 2025-09-08 15:34

Its a stock company. They sell dreams and hopes to bagholders.

I_am_Regarded 2025-09-08 15:36

It's easy, taxpayer pays for ketamine dreams.

ginrumryeale 2025-09-08 15:45

I think Elon is envisioning a market for waifu-girl f***bots.

OldNewbie616 2025-09-08 15:47

Hard to grow to a $10T company by selling cars. They need to start selling dreams.

gwenver 2025-09-08 16:09

Imagine if they had to compete on a level playing field.

krizriktr 2025-09-08 16:10

Sure in the car market. But they are gonna smash the home robot market any day/week/month/year/decade/century now.

dtyamada 2025-09-08 16:14

Absolutely. Even if you believed Tesla was going to revolutionize robotaxis and humanoid robots (they're not), they need to sell cars in the meantime to fund it cuz they ain't close on either one.

BenMic81 2025-09-08 16:15

App downloads for Robotaxis are high so… 🐂

Crutchduck 2025-09-08 16:21

They have been for years. How many people put a deposit on their vaporware roadster.

UmichAgnos 2025-09-08 16:24

Until they take full legal responsibility for accidents in all FSD cars (with same hardware as their Robotaxi), I would be wary about taking an autonomous ride in any of their cars. They've had plenty of time to incorporate additional sensors, ala waymo, I think it's become apparent that cameras only isn't the correct way to go.

sunsetman120 2025-09-08 16:32

Is this the end of the elmobile?

dtyamada 2025-09-08 16:46

Yes. Cameras only is susceptible to the same problems as humans in poor visibility due to things like weather or glare. Other sensor types help to mitigate those problems.

ad-astra-specta 2025-09-08 16:57

More like fantasies.

[deleted] 2025-09-08 17:01

[deleted]

UmichAgnos 2025-09-08 17:04

Except humans can mitigate: shades, visors, wipers high beams, or simply pull over if conditions are simply too bad. Teslas tend to just run into people.

tortillandbeans 2025-09-08 17:27

good fuck Elon

mishap1 2025-09-08 17:47

Elon's just not properly compensated for all he does. Another trillion on top might get him to stop posting White Replacement memes, sexually harassing his employees into producing more male spawn, or poaching talent for his side projects long enough to focus on completing one of his planned projects at Tesla.

BigMax 2025-09-08 17:54

It's WILD to have a company do so badly in a market that's growing all over the world.

Ultraeasymoney 2025-09-08 18:21

I would argue that the extra trillion will encourage him to keep on doing it.

b-side61 2025-09-08 19:03

An infinite percentage more than they had last August!

newaccountzuerich 2025-09-08 19:30

Competition heats up; Tesla as-delivered quality and customer service drops off; brand image performs suicide; deranged frontman no longer relevant or of interest; multiple lawsuits on directly-caused deaths come to fruition; multiple lawsuits on sales fraud and consumer-directed lies come to fruition; engineering progress becomes engineering regression; no longer regarded as a good purchase; disastrous product launches; company shares use to prop up failing business and private ventures of deranged frontman. All valid, all contributing to more accurate market share occupation. Let's hope (ideally not in vain) that the meme-stock "valuation" falls through the floor with all the best follow-on of watching the funders come for Tesla collateral from the Twitter débâcle.

[deleted] 2025-09-08 20:12

Stock pops on the news!

Shafter111 2025-09-08 20:39

Thats because everyone is waiting for robotaxi. Which loser just wants to get in their car or catch a bus and go? Duh!

Dilapidated_girrafe 2025-09-08 20:54

But does it have cool 80s references like cyber and plaid speed and other dumb things?

QuintsHat1975 2025-09-08 21:25

This has nothing to do with stock price?

reddit_is_fash_trash 2025-09-08 21:50

Literally saw a headline today that said "Tesla wants out of the car business". I didn't bother to read the article, but I presume it's because they can't manage to sell any of their Nazi-mobiles to their core customer base of left-wing environmentalists...

weasel_face 2025-09-08 22:13

It's not just competition. I own a Tesla and know many others that do as well. Because of Elon's antics I will never buy another Tesla again. And 90% of the owners I know won't either. I love the car but will not support anything that he is involved in. Ever.

ZanoCat 2025-09-08 22:22

Elon wants to make Ketamine Great Again.

techbunnyboy 2025-09-08 23:00

But stock is really undervalued

techbunnyboy 2025-09-08 23:09

Fusk is working on a story to sell unwalkable optipus robots for 500k

Xollector 2025-09-09 00:15

A company already exist that sells dreams….Build Your Dream aka BYD. They also just happen to sell cars on the side. Time to rename Tesla to BYACH. “Build Your American Car Home”. Selling EV camper vans with Optimus cook, chaperone and sexbot

Computers_and_cats 2025-09-09 00:40

Market share dropping means stock value goes up right?

thebaldfox 2025-09-09 01:39

No cars also means no cybercab or FSD bullshit... How much longer can this grift go on?

liberte49 2025-09-09 03:59

exactly. same.

henlochimken 2025-09-09 05:19

Don't worry though, we'll definitely still buy his Nazi robots to live in our homes with us

R1tonka 2025-09-09 06:11

Pretty genius. If you wanna sue the guy you have to openly admit to handing tesla 250k for nothing more than a promise.

R1tonka 2025-09-09 06:16

It bothers me how he went off the rails. When ludacris mode came out and they went their own way. The easter eggs are fun. He just went and made them his entire identity.

Atactos 2025-09-09 06:35

Yeah! Still no full service yet, less areas than competitors, and still need a driver inside, but bullish!1!1!1! Maybe competition in robotaxis will not eat out Tesla's lunch as they did in EVs,even if Tesla started 10 years ago with this. Everything is bullish!!

BenMic81 2025-09-09 07:53

Ultra Bullish. A ‘Service’ that hasn’t even made a dime yet but is toooooyslly gonna blow up. Anytime now. Just a little longer…

Dilapidated_girrafe 2025-09-09 08:24

He’s stuck in the 80s and 90s

UncleDaddy_00 2025-09-09 11:10

You are missing the big part. Soon everyone who takes a ride in a Tesla taxi will get a fraction of a share of the company. Ride around in them long enough and you too can own a part of the delusion.... Er... I mean dream.

ShotBandicoot7 2025-09-09 15:45

Seriously, is that the next pump scheme? Lol. Board a ride, get a free stock.

Ok-Difficulty7544 2025-09-09 19:17

yeah, and the city of Seattle just contracted with Waymo. used to be nothing but Teslas up here.

BenMic81 2025-09-09 19:31

Oh but that means that Tesla can focus on … umh … Robots! Or Spacecraft! Or … Diners? Anyway. Stock up 1000%.

babypho 2025-09-12 01:39

Their car stagnation aside, I always thought it was an interesting choice for Elon to alienate his buyer base for a buyer base that don't like EVs.

snacky99 2025-09-12 18:42

due to exploiting a similar loophole trick as they did in Canada last year: [https://electrek.co/2025/09/02/tesla-sales-surged-in-turkey-over-a-loophole-that-has-been-patched/](https://electrek.co/2025/09/02/tesla-sales-surged-in-turkey-over-a-loophole-that-has-been-patched/)

unfiltered_Rabbit01 2025-09-14 23:46

What do you guys realistically see will happen to his fortune. His robots, Ai, tunnels, aren't working. The only thing ill give him credit that works is starlink. I live in rural area and that shit is clutch, everything else i despise and I don't support him. Genuinley curious cuz im not that smart of a person.

ReviewAdventurous12 2025-09-15 01:08

Agree. Starlink has a sustainable advantage and it still has a blue ocean to exploit. Regarding Tesla my bet is that he basically aims 2 things get Tesla's shareholders money to put in xAI and take those 30 billion of his CEO bonus. He will do that before the market realizes Tesla will sink. Until there he will try to mislead the cult saying that Tesla will benefit as investor of xAI and this BS on robot taxis (which some time the market will realize as another unacomplished promise). And he will bet a lot on xAI. But xAI it is a black box and only a bet yet clearly behind OpenAI and the others competitors.

North-Outside-5815 2025-09-16 11:51

It should die already. The irrationality of the market is something else, or the game is seriously rigged.
