Good

As a Yorkshireman, Tesla can fook off

roberto_sf 2025-09-01 12:31

10% up in the share price

QuintaEtapa 2025-09-01 12:32

More room for growth!

roberto_sf 2025-09-01 12:37

Tesla fills for bankruptcy. Stocks up 20%

CompoteDeep2016 2025-09-01 12:40

Not enough. Anything but - 80% is too low of a decrease in sales.

Pixel91 2025-09-01 12:50

I still believe a big part of this is that people aren't happy enough to lease another Tesla. We're getting to the point where a lot of the super-cheap 4 year leases from 2021 are up now. And I legitimately have not yet met a single other Tesla owner irl, who is happy enough to lease another one. They were the only brand at the time able to deliver a new EV without a 2+years lead time. And the 4 year lease plans were actually good deals (ask me how I know...) so they sold a LOT. But now other brands can not only deliver on relatively short notice, even made to order, they've also caught up technologically.

Lonely-Truth-7088 2025-09-01 12:51

uh, uh, just waiting on that uh model refresh…yeah that’s it, uh oh yeah not just a car company!

[deleted] 2025-09-01 12:58

The numbers for Denmark are: Total EV sales = 8.990 Tesla Model Y sales = 306 (Total marketshare of 3,4% and a 48% drop compared to 2024) Tesla other models = ?? (Unknown but none are in the top 10, so its less than 250, most likely less than 100 in total judging from previous months) Those are catastrophic numbers for a manufacturer that used to completly dominate the danish EV market just 2 years ago. They are -48% sales in market where EV sales overall are booming. Source: [Bilsalg: Syv ud af 10 biler er elbiler - Hvilkenbil.dk](https://hvilkenbil.dk/bilsalg-syv-ud-af-10-biler-er-elbiler/)

He wasn't so dumb that he did not see this coming. He did what he did to avoid going to jail.

Radiant-Painting581 2025-09-01 13:03

Calls!

Radiant-Painting581 2025-09-01 13:06

A bad part of me is kinda enjoying the slow burn. Pull up a chair, we got marshmallows.

vk_phoenix 2025-09-01 13:09

I wonder how it is doing in USA this quarter

FrogmanKouki 2025-09-01 13:16

I like the slow burn it give plenty of time for denial and moving the goalposts.

Lower_Comfortable393 2025-09-01 13:19

Two years ago, I was looking for an EV and was struck by how much faster Teslas were than other EVs on a 500 mile road trip according to ABRP. Good range, good charging speed, and a good Supercharger network made a huge difference. I went with the Ioniq 5, which was the closest alternative. Now, we all have the same charging network, and my Ioniq 5 is 10-15 minutes faster than the Model Y refresh. Who needs Tesla?

dfsb2021 2025-09-01 13:20

So many better options. Why buy a Tesla and be forced to pay extra for the advertised options.

Chemical-Idea-1294 2025-09-01 13:23

The typical senseless mention of BYD in connection with Norway, where they had 3% market share in August. Teslas sales increased, but their market share Welt down by 8% to 21.4%. Volkswagen on the other hand grew from 11.4 to 17%, clear winner here.

javlin_101 2025-09-01 13:31

And yet Tesla stock is up and byd is down.

heleuma 2025-09-01 13:34

I'd be willing to bet he was a bit blinded by hubris. Don't forget, he lives in a world where most of his interactions are with people propping him up to be some sort of a God. I'm pretty sure he is also a bit used to the the US and it's one day news cycle. never really believing consumers would remember his misdeeds when it came to a car purchase. I think he just didn't believe the rules applied to him.

[deleted] 2025-09-01 13:40

Thats just because BYD comes from some fairly low numbers in 2024, making it easy to have large growth, while Volkswagen was already selling in decent numbers 2024. That often results in BYD having seemingly larger growth, while they are really still a niche product in Europe

TrickPuzzleheaded401 2025-09-01 14:10

Unfortunately the Norwegians are morons.

[deleted] 2025-09-01 14:13

Oh well, I wonder if fElon Musk is still rubbing his hands with glee after helping Agent Orange out in the election...

gwenver 2025-09-01 14:13

As a former Lancastrian, that's one thing I'll agree with you on!

gwenver 2025-09-01 14:18

Should be nearer zero. I mean what other car company is still selling the same model they did 10 years ago? And more to the point, who would buy it?!

netscorer1 2025-09-01 14:31

You forget FSD.

[deleted] 2025-09-01 14:32

Elmo was just out there trying to influence elections in Germany. It's insanity to think he is going to salvage the Tesla image he destroyed without the board throwing him out.

[deleted] 2025-09-01 14:34

Europeans still have some principles. Not sure how anyone can buy one of those knowing what the money supports now.

MyNutsin1080p 2025-09-01 14:39

He’s mad that he got used; he’s used to being the one to manipulate people.

Shootels 2025-09-01 14:49

Thoughts and prayers.

carlivar 2025-09-01 14:49

Probably great since the tax credit goes away on September 30th.

MyNutsin1080p 2025-09-01 14:49

If you’re a park ranger who loves the environment, but got fired because of Elon’s stupid cuts, you’ll tell everyone not to buy a Tesla. For the first time ever, I’m seeing actual advertisements for Tesla cars on YouTube. Elon said once that he would never pay for Tesla ads as they were doing just fine with word of mouth. This tells me the word of mouth is now “fuck Elon and Fuck Tesla”. There are a few car dealerships near me, and the Ford dealership has a couple of cybertrucks that people traded in. One of them had to be the same one I’d seen running around town with a red body wrap. I don’t know if they went and got a Mach-E instead or just any old Ford, but one thing was clear: they didn’t want their fucking Tesla anymore.

Darthmook 2025-09-01 14:51

Full speed death.

ViperSocks 2025-09-01 14:56

My lease is up in three weeks. I cannot wait to see the back of it, and will not be getting another Tesla. Screw Musk, the racist fascist POS.

Darthmook 2025-09-01 15:06

Full speed death.

Fun-Crow6284 2025-09-01 15:08

Don't worry Tesla stock price is only go up

SolutionWarm6576 2025-09-01 15:23

Bullish!!!

Chemical-Idea-1294 2025-09-01 15:53

They lost market share in Norway. Also future increase is unlikely, as the market is nearly 100% electric sInce a few months.

Starbuckshakur 2025-09-01 15:55

What's that?

CouncilmanRickPrime 2025-09-01 16:51

Elon has changed the narrative completely and totally away from car sales so they are all in on robotaxis and robots. Those will be proven flops eventually, this can't go on forever.

SpudsRacer 2025-09-01 16:56

Peace in our time. Brings me to tears lads. 🌝

sync-centre 2025-09-01 17:27

So did Musk

Theyseemetheyhatin 2025-09-01 17:34

I had a 2022 model 3 and I really liked it, but was a company car and I gave it away when I changed job. In the beginning of the year I was looking to buy a model Y. I haven't found a good alternative yet at this price point (spacious, comfortable, good range, nice boot), but I won't give this lying idiot my hard earned cash (I also don't want to give it to the chinese)... And I don't give a rat's ass about FSD. No one should, specially until it's 100% clear that in case of accident Tesla (the provider) is at fault.

mishap1 2025-09-01 19:37

Juniper bump will be here any day now.

ad-astra-specta 2025-09-01 19:55

Yeah, I'm "thinking" that Tesla is dying as a car company, and I "pray" it gets worse.

ad-astra-specta 2025-09-01 19:57

It's nothing.

ad-astra-specta 2025-09-01 20:00

Not to mention, forced to endure the shame of owning a... Tesla.

2outer 2025-09-01 21:20

Almost as if Europe doesn’t like nazi sympathizers. Do the people still buying them just not know?

PresidentSpanky 2025-09-02 01:14

you forgot to add /s to your post

Pixel91 2025-09-02 03:35

Oh I feel you. I got two months left.

Lonyo 2025-09-02 20:04

https://evmagazine.com/news/byd-beats-tesla-as-top-selling-ev-brand-in-europe >In July 2025, BYD registered 13,503 new vehicles in Europe, marking an astonishing 225% year-on-year growth and overtaking Tesla, which saw registrations plummet 40% to only 8,837 units that month. (Europe wide, not just Norway, but the sales are actual good numbers as well as high % increases)

BenMic81 2025-09-03 05:04

Alternatives could be ID5, GV60, Enyaq, Seal U or - if you want a bit more space Ioniq 7. Comfort in all of these easily beats Tesla, not to mention quality. Space and range - Tesla mid. Price depends on where you are (toll and taxes etc).
