Weird question, did we ever see Elon Musk ride a Robotaxi/FSD?

Opposite-Bench-9543 | 2025-08-21 09:34 | 125 views

I mean it's kinda odd no one pointed it out, unless im mistaken I never saw him using his "futuristic" tech I wanna see him in the backseat of robotaxi, or at the very least not engaging while driving with FSD on

Well, he’s kind of just a part time CEO anyway. Maybe that’s why. Lol.

bw984 2025-08-21 09:45

I’d rather he ride in the next starship launch but this may work as well.

Haha how would he have time for that? He is scrolling Grok Imagine memes all day. Why would he care about something as plain as sitting in a taxi? In his mind, this problem has been solved and it‘s only an execution issue. Too plain for his genius. On to Grok memes!

Sansabina 2025-08-21 10:29

He's previously said that he won't travel on Starship until its safety has been proven as he's too important to risk dying on it (my paraphrasing)

gwenver 2025-08-21 10:47

His ~~lawyers~~ mom won't allow it.

ComicsEtAl 2025-08-21 10:55

If we ever do, it’s proof the vehicle is operated remotely.

Slight_Pomelo_1008 2025-08-21 11:01

war time ceo

FlagFootballSaint 2025-08-21 11:04

He‘s probably scared. If that‘s the case anyone recommend him using Waymo instead?

ThinkorFeel 2025-08-21 11:11

He prefers testing his creations on other people.

illuminatedtiger 2025-08-21 11:40

He's a pussy.

mishap1 2025-08-21 11:41

His lawyers didn't stop him on his decade of lies that got people killed. Do you think he listens to his lawyers?

foersom 2025-08-21 11:41

He did when he presented the Cyber-cab in the film studio backlot 2024-10-11. Likely the car was fully remote controlled.

beren12 2025-08-21 12:00

No it’s just proof he trusts that remote driver.

beren12 2025-08-21 12:01

So no. Not really. He did a movie special effect ride.

y4udothistome 2025-08-21 12:08

He doesn’t trust them. He scared!

FrogmanKouki 2025-08-21 12:11

Maybe one day they'll include life support systems but I guess that's a waste if they keep blowing up

orgasm-enjoyer 2025-08-21 12:16

*Instead of fighting in a cage match, why dont you boys sit down in armchairs facing each other and the funniest person wins?* I actually felt bad for Elons manhood when his mom posted that

AustinBike 2025-08-21 12:25

In the back seat with no human monitor in the front. I'm pretty sure he'd be white knuckling it the whole way.

ComicsEtAl 2025-08-21 12:29

Ahh, so he’d have the remote on him.

Lacrewpandora 2025-08-21 12:40

He was driving once during a TV interview, and used FSD (maybe AP, can't remember and TSLA shape-shifts the definitions). He used it hands off and to the point that the reporter got nervous. It was a big deal at the time because it was a few years after one of TSLA's earliest, most prominent AP deaths, and TSLA had reluctantly added language not to go hands free, nags, etc...and Technoking was proudly mis-using the product.

JRLDH 2025-08-21 12:46

Tesla-superfans believe that he has a "special" ultra top secret build of FSD that is Level 5. "Elon Mode". I'm not kidding. That was what many said on Tesla-forums all the way back in 2019 when I was dumb enough to buy a Model 3.

mishap1 2025-08-21 13:06

At the very least the emergency stop button. I assume his game controller skills are lacking.

sadicarnot 2025-08-21 13:39

I am a big fan of the Apollo program. It seems SpaceX and the others are taking all the dead ends NASA decided not to take to get to the moon. Thunderfoot has a video where he looks at one of the heat tiles from a starship. They are attached with a stainless sheetmetal tab I guess you would call it. It looks like the tabe may be inserted while the tile is molten. He estimates there may be as much as 1 ton of these tabs on Starship. The way the tab is inserted it also creates stress corners which can fail. The tiles are also hydrophilic and absorbed a lot of water. These were all issues the shuttle solved. I guess we will see.

Chippopotanuse 2025-08-21 13:47

He saw what happened to that submarine guy and is no dummy. Elon will always stay as far away as possible from his shitty tech. He doesn’t believe in it, but he knows it makes him billions.

whawkins4 2025-08-21 14:00

No. They’re too dangerous.

Sanpaku 2025-08-21 14:19

The allegations online are that because this dipshit insisted on a 2 stage to orbit/beyond design, they're pushing the Raptor engines beyond design parameters. It's possible that the entire fundamental design of Starship is so flawed (compared to multi-stage designs) that many billions of development work will ultimately have to be scrapped. Maybe the the first stage, and its launch/capture infrastructure, can be saved.

morbiiq 2025-08-21 14:21

Even worse when you realize they’d be stuck there for eternity trying to win.

MikeRippon 2025-08-21 14:36

Try his own grift and end up like the oceangate CEO?

phil_mckraken 2025-08-21 14:43

Given that Starship and Cybertruck came from the same mind, I expect both to go away when the federal money goes away.

Dude008 2025-08-21 15:22

Still remote controlled tho

North-Outside-5815 2025-08-21 15:27

In serious reply to the OP, I’ve never seen him drive around in one of his cars, much less show how confidently he trusts their ”self driving” capabilities. He also hasn’t take a ride in the Dragon capsule. You’d think the ”techno king” would show everybody who confident he is in his own products.

sadicarnot 2025-08-21 15:35

There is a cybertruck around the block from me. Another guy goes to the gym I go to. They are very silly looking. But I also think the giant trucks the others make are stupid too. I am thinking of the old Datsun or the original 1990s Ford Ranger for a reasonable sized truck.

whisperwrongwords 2025-08-21 15:47

Testing in production, like any self-respecting psychopath would

ObservationalHumor 2025-08-21 17:11

He definitely uses it to some extent and by far the best evidence of that to date is the fact that some builds of FSD leaked with hidden options that would enable a so called 'Elon Mode' that eliminated a lot of nags and warnings.

sync-centre 2025-08-22 21:02

Why doesn't he go up on Falcon then?

practicaloppossum 2025-08-22 23:17

Reasonable for who? I have an extended cab F150 with an 8' bed - it's a long truck. But I can carry a 4x8 sheet of plywood with the tailgate up, and the tonneau closed so it stays dry. Same with 8' lumber. With the tailgate down I can carry 10, 12, 16' lumber. And I do do those things, fairly often. For me a small truck like a Ranger would be totally unreasonable. (to stay on topic, none of those things can easily be done with the Cybertruck, despite it's massive size.)

sadicarnot 2025-08-23 01:34

I had a buddy that bought an F-350 and never carried anything in it except a bunch of tools he never used. The neighbors on each side of me and the one across the street from me all have pickup trucks and I have never seen them carry any cargo. I work from home and my desk is such that I can look out the front window and see everyone that comes and goes. The one on one side has a turbo diesel, not even sure what brand. But whenever they come and go it sounds like their truck is inhaling the entire neighborhood. Edit: I think the issue is the only choice is big giant trucks. There are no options, just big, bigger, and how small is your penis exactly? A good choice would be those Sambas they sell in Japan. Lowes is only 2 miles one way and Home Depot is another 2 miles beyond that. No need for more than that for the amount most would actually use it.

Sansabina 2025-08-23 04:56

Yeah, free country I guess and the trend is bigger is better. I've got a buddy who always had his ego tied up with the car he drove, back in the 90s it was a big BMW, these days it's the biggest goddamn ~~[Canyonero](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PI_Jl5WFQkA)~~ Silverado you've seen, the biggest thing he carries in it is him and his wife. Simpsons again called it over 25 years ago.

Sansabina 2025-08-23 05:02

Yeah I agree, at least do a return trip to the ISS

dagelijksestijl 2025-08-24 07:48

He doesn’t trust his staff to not redirect it into the sun.

alaorath 2025-08-25 22:00

Not Robotaxi, no... not that I've seen. I recall the clip from the tunnel one he did with a reporter... which was so un-even and bumpy they could barely carryout the interview (and the poor reporter looked terrified at parts).

alaorath 2025-08-25 22:01

so... never? natch. :P

0day_got_me 2025-08-26 00:03

I remember reading somewhere he has his own tesla with "elon mode". Idk what it means though

ccivtomars 2025-08-26 05:21

he won’t, he doesn’t want to get killed or kill Someone else

Secure_Guest_6171 2025-11-03 13:28

Mostly means nags and warnings are suppressed
