Totally apocalypse-proof, just not flimsy-pole-proof unfortunately.

Look at the wheel spinning [24 seconds in](https://youtu.be/qVLesrkJGag?t=24) - it doesn't even seem to be able to get away!

ZanoCat 2025-08-17 14:30

I think the driver is a bit shy and doesn't want to be seen by us non-Tesler mortals. Find that inner peace!

ImpossibleShoulder29 2025-08-17 14:34

How did you wreck your Cyber Truck? I side swiped a bollard in a parking lot.

AutismFlavored 2025-08-17 14:41

I’d say just open the rear door, but it’s a Tesla built with single-digit micron precision and even the slightest frame deviation will render the door inoperable.

Aargau 2025-08-17 14:55

I'm just imagining a fire starting in that situation and wondering if it would be possible to get out. Glad there was no fire.

Ok-Elevator302 2025-08-17 15:07

What’s does he mean by “like Indian in India.”

orgasm-enjoyer 2025-08-17 15:07

The narrator should definitely be portrayed as a character on the Simpsons

luv2block 2025-08-17 15:10

Indian as in from the country India, not Indian as in Native American.

foilmethod 2025-08-17 15:11

I'm assuming it's clarification that the driver wasn't a native American.

[deleted] 2025-08-17 15:43

Yeah I can't imagine the curb weight of that pos.

[deleted] 2025-08-17 15:44

Agreed. Leave it be while it is still within spec.

[deleted] 2025-08-17 15:45

That would total out a lot of today's vehicles unfortunately.

sidc42 2025-08-17 15:48

For a car with a dozen cameras, the drivers sure seem to be blind to anything close to them. I see them all the time and they can't park between the lines to save their ass.

Fun_Volume2150 2025-08-17 15:51

The World Bollard Association would approve.

ZoeperJ 2025-08-17 15:52

At least it keeps the driver safe from an incoming missile, right! Right?

Objective_Mousse7216 2025-08-17 15:55

Fuck that's terrible seeing damage like that. I really hope that pole can be fixed and repainted.

ImpossibleShoulder29 2025-08-17 15:57

In the case of most of todays vehicles, it is the driver who is the problem. The CT can make a good driver bad because of the lag and inconsistency in the steering. Plus, the CT is supposed to be ready for the apocalypse.

AdventurousTime 2025-08-17 16:03

The pole tried to redeem 😡 How can it slap ? 👋

[deleted] 2025-08-17 16:07

Yeah I wouldn't trust something that experimental having been designed by Tesla. They are not a car company right? Doesn't this guy have four wheel steering? He could just diagonally back away from that thing.

Roadgoddess 2025-08-17 16:18

Yeah, I came here to say the same thing. He can’t even get any purchase to move. Fathers make sure your Teslurs don’t turn to the pole ! lol

MarchMurky8649 2025-08-17 16:19

You might imagine that, in 2025, a vehicle costing the best part of $100k would deploy a technology to automatically detect objects getting so close they might cause damage. I expect radar would be perfect for this kind of thing...

abckiwi 2025-08-17 16:46

hahaha!

[deleted] 2025-08-17 17:09

What an ugly car, the pole did society a favor.

lithiumdeuteride 2025-08-17 17:22

Reach down deep and find your inner checkbook.

fossilnews 2025-08-17 17:45

Up to 7,000 lbs depending on the config.

Maximum-Objective-39 2025-08-17 17:45

It is ready for the apocalypse. To be the burned out husks littering cities and freeways.

[deleted] 2025-08-17 17:48

That bollard is right next to the battery pack. If that frame is damaged I bet this thing is totaled.

Jacktheforkie 2025-08-17 17:55

My £6k Sandero has that

djshimon 2025-08-17 18:45

2008 Sienna minivan has sensors to alert me I'm close to hitting something.

wellidotry 2025-08-17 20:21

The dry parking lot in August is a barren place, where my wheels could find no purchase

Jacktheforkie 2025-08-17 21:31

Nice

nozamy 2025-08-17 21:37

Is the narrator mocking the Tesla or not? I can’t tell.

Ambitious_Bread_84 2025-08-17 21:54

Oh no.....anyway...

Computers_and_cats 2025-08-17 22:27

Looks like they tried raising it up too. I can't tell if it is at max height or not.

dtyamada 2025-08-17 22:28

I am really trying to picture how he got stuck like that. An impressive job!

nlaak 2025-08-18 00:03

> That would total out a lot of today's vehicles unfortunately. From an insurance perspective, sure, but not mechanically, like this.

PhartusMcBlumpkin1 2025-08-18 00:43

Smooth brain advising smooth brain.

practicaloppossum 2025-08-18 00:49

It would appear he turned left into the parking lot much too sharply, and at a relatively high rate of speed (he'd make a good Swift driver). Perhaps the 4-wheel steering took him by surprise. He hit the bollard with the driver side door, stoving it in pretty good, which opened a gap between the rear door and the frame, which the bollard wedged into, causing the Cybertruck to stop abruptly. Now he's stuck because the Cybertruck lacks traction to un-wedge the bollard. And, he can't open either driver side door. Hopefully he can climb over to the passenger side and get out.

MonsieurReynard 2025-08-18 01:00

Still loves the truck though!!

threemileallan 2025-08-18 01:52

Narrator was slaying out there lmao

dtyamada 2025-08-18 02:20

That was my best guess. Who knew good visibility in a vehicle was important.

Lacrewpandora 2025-08-18 02:41

Presented for your enjoyment: Technoking runs over a traffic cone - [https://youtu.be/AjPBS7VxDQ0?t=40](https://youtu.be/AjPBS7VxDQ0?t=40) One of the many, many, many shortcomings of the Incel Camino is the driver's inability to see obstacles close to the vehicle, with the elongated a-pillar blocking the view.

ad-astra-specta 2025-08-18 07:29

Quite poetic. Nice use of 'purchase'.

Odd-Adagio7080 2025-08-18 20:57

Costly for another car maybe, but totaled out? Not nearly. You would still be able to drive a real car after this.

[deleted] 2025-08-18 20:59

>a real car lolol

Brett-_-_ 2025-08-19 02:41

He poled the douche panzer. He can cross that off the bucket list

EarthConservation 2025-08-19 20:50

Never heard anything about lag and steering inconsistency. Moreso this had to do with the CT's enormous blind spot in the A-pillar that reviewers have mentioned. Truck driver likely made the left turn into the lot and never saw the pole.

ImpossibleShoulder29 2025-08-19 21:15

[https://www.reddit.com/r/interestingasfuck/comments/1d89dja/this\_extreme\_lag\_between\_turning\_the\_cybertrucks/](https://www.reddit.com/r/interestingasfuck/comments/1d89dja/this_extreme_lag_between_turning_the_cybertrucks/) An example of steering lag.

elmaton63 2025-08-19 21:54

There’s no lag. Steering is super responsive. What got him was the rear wheel steering. In slow speeds like this it is very pronounced. Caught a few curbs myself.

EarthConservation 2025-08-19 23:07

Ah, that's pretty crazy. And dangerous! Could explain some of the accidents we've seen. Given that this dude seemed to be making a left turn, my guess is steering lag would have actually had it go out wider and miss the pole, so I'm still sticking with my guess that this was due to the A-pillar blind spot. Geezus this truck design has so many problems... First vehicle that Tesla designed under Musk without the help of the actual founders' original masterplan. (Excluding the Semi)

s1m0n8 2025-08-21 16:52

Tesla fan boys : *Cybertruck always in pole position.*

Expert-Sherbert5469 2025-08-22 11:55

he means to say he is a redneck that thinks that it is relevant because he is a bigot

MarchMurky8649 2025-08-22 13:04

You got me thinking. Perhaps its newly sentient AI got bored just carrying people around, and decided to try pole dancing instead?
