Now who could Nazi that coming?

wiidsmoker 2025-08-12 10:53

Fuck Elon

ManfredTheCat 2025-08-12 10:59

The ceo sieg heiled twice

Far_Addition1210 2025-08-12 11:02

Elmo and his Elmobiles.

Searching_f0r_life 2025-08-12 11:03

In other news, the sky is blue.

ThinkorFeel 2025-08-12 11:04

Well, it looks like he's getting paid an unprecedented amount of money (\~$29B) to fix that problem...

eclwires 2025-08-12 11:08

Our grandfathers fought nazis, they didn’t vote for them.

potatodrinker 2025-08-12 11:11

As long as Share price goes the opposite direction, someone's making money and happy.

RCotti 2025-08-12 11:11

Interesting thing is I was driving yesterday and felt like there were more teslas on the road than ever

Graywulff 2025-08-12 11:19

Not here. Blue city you? They’re really cheap bc no one wanted them.

BidAccomplished4641 2025-08-12 11:30

A shocking number of people willing to overlook that for low interest financing deals. What am I saying…. not that shocking.

CRXCRZ 2025-08-12 11:31

Brand new ones? It's like spotting a douche bag riding a unicorn where I live.

badhabitfml 2025-08-12 11:33

I'm just waiting to see one of those 'I bought this before Elon went crazy' stickers on a new model y.

beren12 2025-08-12 11:53

Sadly, I’ve seen quite a few new ones in New Jersey. They have a showroom close by.

PilotKnob 2025-08-12 11:54

Every time I see a Model Y Refresh on the road I shake my head and think "That person knowingly bought a car from a Nazi."

Patient-Expert-1578 2025-08-12 11:56

They’re all gone. All that’s left are their kids that gave every one participation trophies and then blamed their own kids for it.

analyticaljoe 2025-08-12 11:56

Yeah. It would be safe to say no more nazi wagons for me. 2017: Seriously pleased to have bought a Tesla, for all its faults and expensive price tag. 2025: Seriously considering starting to give a sieg heil to other Tesla drivers on the road to let them know how their brand is perceived. also 2025: Still can't read a book in clear weather on lightly traveled roads with FSD engaged.

CRXCRZ 2025-08-12 12:01

Glass half full, at least it's very clear where the neighborhood far-right weirdos live.

namotous 2025-08-12 12:03

Lmao did they think the welfare, Nazi, diesel loving MAGAts would buy an EV?

SolutionWarm6576 2025-08-12 12:06

😂😂😂. Elmobiles.

secretlyjudging 2025-08-12 12:26

I can’t look at a Tesla and wonder of their political leanings. I don’t do that for any other brand.

eattohottodoggu 2025-08-12 12:33

(that we know of, publicly)

shiroandae 2025-08-12 12:43

Yes. But they will never let him because even though that would make it infinitely more likely Tesla is still there in 15 years, it’d also make the stock valuation conto a level which can be rationally explained, so it’d crash >80%.

Zoophagous 2025-08-12 12:45

I flip off every new Tesla.

Zoophagous 2025-08-12 12:47

Yup. My paternal grandfather fought with Patten in Italy. My maternal grandfather fought in the Pacific. I'll never support a fascist. It's unAmerican.

gwenver 2025-08-12 12:54

5 million members of the KKK in the 1920s would disagree

PilotKnob 2025-08-12 13:11

Me too.

nockeenockee 2025-08-12 13:16

Seeing a lot of new ones in the Bay Area that are getting in before subsidies expire. It kind of makes me sick they have no problem supporting this company after all they have done.

[deleted] 2025-08-12 13:30

You see, most previous Tesla buyers actually have shame, self reflection, care about the environment and hate Trump and Nazis. They’re not in a cult, and didn’t worship Elon like MAGA does Trump. Elon saw MAGAland and thought he had what Trump had and that he could do what Trump does. He doesn’t, and he can’t. Anyone with a brain saw this coming. The fact that he didn’t nullifies any argument that he’s some kind of genius. He’s a fool and a fucking idiot.

Schmich 2025-08-12 13:31

and on any news the stock is up too.

AwesomeShikuwasa77 2025-08-12 13:43

That’s good for another 10% up :)

Averageguy2025 2025-08-12 13:50

Fuck Elon. They are the next Enron scandal

mudbot 2025-08-12 13:52

Reminder that it is illegal to switch car brands when you drive Tesler.

trupfg 2025-08-12 14:02

Not trying to defend Musk at all, but what have Tesla exactly done? I know Musk owns a certain percentage, but other brands have some questionable owners as well? Qatar owns 10% or something of Volkswagen, which, at least here in Europe, is a brand that people go to instead of Tesla these days. Again, not defending Musk in any way, but I wouldn't personally compare his stupidness to a regime like Qatar.

praguer56 2025-08-12 14:06

I've read comments elsewhere that people are now rethinking purchases not because of Musk but because Musk has talked about HW5 and HW6. They think they'll be fucked like HW3 owners if HW4 isn't supported as FSD advances.

[deleted] 2025-08-12 14:09

[deleted]

Zoophagous 2025-08-12 14:15

Fair.

MarchMurky8649 2025-08-12 14:28

Staring at them while mimicking, precisely, the gesture Musk made seems appropriate, right down to the weird grimace he had on his face. If they comment, point out that Musk said it meant "My heart goes out to you!", and if they think it means something else then why were they happy to enrich him by buying the car? NB avoid doing this in Germany, it might get you arrested!

tardiskey1021 2025-08-12 14:31

People over here acting like they have “morals” while still participating in every facet of capitalism. Everything we do and purchase is intrinsically exploitive. I hope these people aren’t buying beef from cattle ranchers, clothing made in china, or having 401k’s filled with stocks whose performance is based on the oil sector. Fucking clowns. I have a Tesla because it’s the best EV on the market with the best software and best charging infrastructure. No shame.

MarchMurky8649 2025-08-12 14:36

What makes me laugh is that FSD progress has plateued. The company will collapse before they reach true unsupervised, but they talk as though it's just around the corner, that one more revision of hardware, or software, and it'll be there!

praguer56 2025-08-12 14:55

Yep! They've been saying that since when, 2018, I think.

threemileallan 2025-08-12 15:13

no shame? nah you're the clown

Doctor_M_Toboggan 2025-08-12 15:35

No no no, you see, he was just gesturing “from the heart”. /fucking s

Skiride692 2025-08-12 15:41

Every software update makes the cars worse. I used to like my Tesla. It has turned into a glitchy rolling pos. The cruise control can not even go 5 miles without a false panic break. The car drives like it was programmed by a blind 90 year old. Hitler Musk is clearly a fucking idiot and has destroyed what was a great company.

RCotti 2025-08-12 15:59

you know they're not cheap. I was looking at them before the 7500 credit expires and i feel like it's way too expensive for what you get still

0o0o0o0o0o0z 2025-08-12 16:11

> I have a Tesla because it’s the best EV on the market That's really objectively not true, maybe the best EV for the price when you toss in the SC network, but there are much better US EVs, and we can't buy BYD here. I will say you have a good point and wish people didn't DV you. Elon is a garbage human, Tesla is turning into this generation's Enron, but if you like the cars, and it works for you and your commute, I dont think people should be shitting on you. Just slap a "Elon is a N*zi and I bought this before I knew" sticker on your car.

InsanelyOblivious 2025-08-12 16:24

Because the media doesn’t give a fuck about anything but money.

trapercreek 2025-08-12 16:33

Amazing. Why has it taken so long?

[deleted] 2025-08-12 16:46

Should be zero if people had any brains or principles

outphase84 2025-08-12 16:51

I just ordered a model 3 performance, after previously deciding to boycott Tesla over Musk’s bullshit. Here’s why: 1. After test driving the full field of midsized sport sedan EVs, the model 3 performance is just plain better, for less money 2. Musk’s job and compensation has nothing to do with units sold, and everything to do with market cap and stock price. TSLA doesn’t trade on fundamentals. Deliveries nosedived, and stock price still popped. Boycotting doesn’t affect him or his money 3. Boycotting DOES affect American jobs. Low sales volume has had rolling shutdowns of factories, which impacts Americans that had nothing to do with his bullshit 4. Ultimately, buying the i4 m50 that was my second choice would have meant 3-5 years of owning a car that I liked less, for more money, while having a disparate impact on American jobs without an impact on Elon’s bullshit

outphase84 2025-08-12 16:52

I commented above, but Musk’s compensation is based 100% on share price and market cap, and TSLA doesn’t trade on fundamentals. Deliveries nosedived, stock price still went up, and he still got a record breaking compensation package.

LifeRound2 2025-08-12 18:08

Unfortunately, the other American brands produce garbage. None of them are worth your loyalty.

PilotKnob 2025-08-12 18:42

Justify it any way you want, you're handing money to a Nazi. And a lot of people disagree with that line of thinking.

outphase84 2025-08-12 18:46

And you’re posting on Reddit, giving money to a CEO who donated and supported that party. Likely posting from an iPhone, made by a company whose CEO supported Trump’s election and was at his inauguration. And you likely have one of Facebook, Snapchat, or instagram on said phone, handing money to another CEO that supports all of that. But my original point is that everyone boycotted Tesla, sales plummeted, and Musk still got a raise. Buying a Tesla doesn’t put money is his pocket. Buying shares of TSLA puts money in his pocket.

PilotKnob 2025-08-12 18:48

Keep on coping, you'll get there eventually. Meanwhile, I hope you enjoy all the middle finger "Roman Salutes" you're about to earn.

Chi_Chi_laRue 2025-08-12 18:55

There’s nothing unprecedented about it..

Real_Ad4422 2025-08-12 19:29

Still my fave euphemism

Initial_Ad2228 2025-08-12 19:44

Yet stock price nears ath. It’s wild

Initial_Ad2228 2025-08-12 19:48

He got paid $29b which is more than the net profit Tesla has earned since its inception. It makes no sense and I don’t understand why anyone would want to be a share holder with a board awarding the part time ceo that much compensation for leading the company into the shitter. FCF will be negative this qtr or next. Carbon credit sales disappearing is going to make the earnings look real bad as it’s a 100% profit margin and a few billion a qtr.

seeyousoongetit 2025-08-12 20:21

You're right. Why vote with your wallet when the country doesn't want to get up and vote anyway. 10 million less Democrats voted this election. Those 10 million Democrats basically voted for Trump. Letting it happen is the same thing as voting. But you still could have bought a used one and not give the company any money at all.

NotAnotherEmpire 2025-08-12 22:12

While selling a product that's almost exclusively bought by well educated center and left-of-center suburbanites.

eclwires 2025-08-12 22:32

Some of their kids raised kids that still love this country and what it’s supposed to stand for.

azreal75 2025-08-12 23:03

I taught my teenage son this. We were doing it one day a couple of months ago. It was his teacher!

LifeForm8449 2025-08-12 23:14

So the bloodline of defending the country ended with your grandfather got it

Graywulff 2025-08-13 00:09

Relative to depreciation. Then again the battery is done it is too.

moocowsia 2025-08-13 06:20

🤏

[deleted] 2025-08-13 06:20

And say that we're brainwashed while they gobble Nazi propaganda.

2outer 2025-08-13 09:51

That’s still a shit ton of nazi sympathizers.

jaimi_wanders 2025-08-13 14:22

They also sanewashed & fawned over Hitler and Mussolini from 1922 through 1939 - the NYT was particularly egregious, with “Belligerence Not Expected” their pump-priming headline for the Oct 6, 1939 speech, weeks into the invasion of Poland—in which he would blame Britain and France for “making” peace-loving Germany do it, a consistent theme for the rest of the war.

meshreplacer 2025-08-13 14:40

They would be considered "Kapos" ie collaborators at this point.

meshreplacer 2025-08-13 14:41

Techbros. that's why.

GonePhishingAgain 2025-08-13 15:41

Saying goodbye to my LRMY on Thursday. Going back to Volvo.

Ezerick019 2025-08-13 20:35

Only reason I still have my Model Y is because the Rivian R2 isn’t out yet. Once it’s released, I’m out…
