A day after Brett Schreiber's client won an up-to-$243 million verdict against Tesla over a fatal 2019 crash involving autopilot, he posted a video on Instagram with a fitting song choice: "Damn It Feels Good To Be a Gangsta," an iconic 1992 hip hop anthem by the Geto Boys, The Verge reported. Schreiber is already gearing up for "round two," a separate case in a different court that involves the family of a 15-year-old boy who died in another 2019 crash with a Tesla on Autopilot, later this year.
I'm sure Tesla will be in quite the hurry to pay up.
We all have to wonder how many previous accident investigations and court cases failed to get the full details because Tesla wasn't forthcoming with all the data. After this trial, showing how Tesla hid and failed to disclose everything it had, I would estimate close to all of them.
They're appealing this of course but it's proving much simpler to keep settling like they have the several other notable crash deaths.
I am sure there will be appeals, but it would be great if they rolled into one of the gigafactories and held a sherrifs sale
Man Geto Boys are so good. Good taste on this guy. Time to clean Tesla the fuck out and bring the company crashing down.
That’s some serious flair!
I’m not sure about Florida, but in other states the defendant has to post a bond for the full settlement before appealing.
Take 'em down Brett!!! How many cases never even saw court because of Tesla's internal arbitration process? How many cases were settled before it got to this point?
If their books aren't cooked, they have tens of billions of cash on hand so this would be nothing but an inconvenience.
PC Load Letter? What the fuck does that mean?
I just watched Office Space and while it’s not a direct line the opening scene with Michael Bolton rapping in his car reminds me of this song too.
