Why is everyone using google share links lately? Is it circumventing a link ban or something?
tragedy_strikes
2025-07-22 19:54
Google is heavily incentivized to make it easier (fewer clicks) on Android and Chrome to generate a share link with tracking than just the url.

I think the share functionality changed recently. It takes extra steps now to share a clean link on my phone. Very very annoying.

In 2024, these credits were responsible for 40% of Tesla's profit. Zero that out and consider the drop in sales, TSLA is looking down the barrel of huge losses every quarter.

Assuming Trump actually goes through with it, the 93.5% tariff on graphite from China used in batteries by Tesla is going to hurt too.

Basically the Big Bill of Bullshit fucked Tesla and Trump still targeted them for a few more things. Musk’s only real hope is that Trump kicks the bucket and Vance is as much of a puppet for Thiel as we suspect.

Underrated comment. The most bullish thing for Tesla would be for trump to disappear as president, one way or another and Vance step in. He will pamper musk and do everything so that musk will make him get reelected. If that happens, the shitshow will continue for another decade.
It's sad that Trump chickens out and does not fuck musk up with everything he has. Would have loved to see that

Elon didn’t spend as much time as The Groper wanted on his knees at Mar-a-Fatso. He was just developing the kind of knee callouses Trump wants in a partner. Lose-lose for Elon and Tesla. Elon not so smart.

Desktop I agree with you. I moreso meant Chrome on Android.
Getting the submenu to copy and paste the url on mobile is a bit finicky/slow (it will disappear to display more of the content after you scroll) but using the 3 dot menu is always visible and has a dedicated share button that's very easy to use.

BS
In Q1 2025 Tesla reported a GAAP net income of **$409 million** on $19.3 billion of revenue, but **$595 million** of that profit came from selling regulatory (environmental) credits. Excluding those credits would have swung the company to a roughly **$189 million net loss** for the quarter

Vance hates EV more than trump does. He said he wanted to end the EV incentive and launch an ICE car incentive. The new conservative philosophy is all about jobs and putting people to work. Even if it’s shitty jobs like farm work, coal mines and factory production lines. But you know what massively kills jobs? EVs. They are easier to produce, less parts, way less maintenance, no gasoline, no dealerships.

There's no way EVs kill more jobs than the outsourcing of IT, services & the adoption of AI.

I guess why not? You laid out many good reasons. We just need more negative news and more people waking up to the lies. Next two quarters will be a big problem. They might get a bump in sales before reg credits expire end of September but overall still declining revenues, lower margins and lower earnings.
CompoteDeep2016
2025-07-25 19:01
That's the thing, next earnings are gonna be fine because many people will buy an ev before the subsidies end. Tesla will frame the narrative that it has nothing to do with subsidies, that it's the strong demand. So next chance of a big hit is q4 earnings report in January.
Trump really chickens out and is afraid of musk so I don't expect much trouble from that direction. Sec and other agencies are calm after musk laid so many people off.
Of course robotaxi slow ramp up, maybe a fatal crash could bring it down but that's nothing I hope for.
The big thing would be something happening to felon himself. He seemed to be on drugs still... The Ai being crazily anti Semitic, I don't know if there are not pretty powerful people who do not want to have a strong super Ai pushing anti Semitic thoughts. But here it gets really really speculative...
I want tesla to go down rather sooner than later because I think musk is an abomination of a human being and that behavior should not prevail successfully in our society...

That’s the rub. Will they buy more Tesla EV? I see some great lease deals from competitors. I am actually close to closing on one this month. No need to buy a Tesla under these conditions and support an a@@hole. You can save money and still have a clean conscious.
