Unfortunately stock price would probably balloon to new highs

mishap1 2025-07-21 20:29

Cars so not woke it can't even be sold in California. Would move tons in Florida and Texas.

palopp 2025-07-21 20:30

That should be worth a few % increase in TSLA. They can reallocate the California bound vehicles to the rest of the US and world and sales won’t e harmed. When the ban is lifted, they can then sell extra vehicles in California. Don’t question the logic. Just buy TSLA!

ShotBandicoot7 2025-07-21 20:30

Retail regards and momentum algos be like: more calls!

SeattlePubCrawls 2025-07-21 20:33

And the stock goes up because California is a woke libturd hellhole that's constantly on fire and a homeless person looked at me there once and I feared for my life.

[deleted] 2025-07-21 20:34

Let's go!

oceanbeachguy 2025-07-21 20:38

Yeah might be the best thing for Elmo

babypho 2025-07-21 20:41

This would increase safety due to FSD and Autopilot being taken off the road. Bullish!

Retox86 2025-07-21 20:52

Well they are starting to sell cars with a loss so its bullish to stop selling cars, stock goes up.

noodlesallaround 2025-07-21 21:09

No it won’t

uncultured_swine2099 2025-07-21 21:16

Hahahahaha that would be poetry.

iamoninternet27 2025-07-21 21:40

Hope those Teslas drive well in floods and hurricanes.

[deleted] 2025-07-21 21:46

Nazi Musk already told California the biggest Purchasers of Electric Cars in the World, to Fuck Off. Nobody wants to buy a Nazi Car

Journeyman42 2025-07-21 21:52

I've been told that Cybertrucks can double as a boat!

mishap1 2025-07-21 21:55

Hurricane Helene demonstrated that they do not. [https://youtu.be/ReD1-oHfSyU?si=FTq2c1WKhDq3bdC2](https://youtu.be/ReD1-oHfSyU?si=FTq2c1WKhDq3bdC2)

iamoninternet27 2025-07-21 21:58

Thanks, I love to see them when they are on fire.

sonicmerlin 2025-07-21 22:04

Why did it take them years to get to this point? The lawsuit was originally filed in 2022. How hard is it for a judge to read the stupid ads and go “oh yeah this is false”. I want to point out that I don’t dislike Tesla, I dislike Elon. Even if you try to avoid his politics, he’s clearly been a giant drag on the company the last 5 years. The cyber truck flop, taking away radar, USS, refusing LiDAR, continued lack of manufacturing QC and increasingly cheap car interiors, no new models in development, huge delays on every front…. The guy is sabotaging a brand that should be leading across the world.

wraith_majestic 2025-07-21 22:43

imagine what could have happened had they held up a sign or asked you for something... you may have died from the fright.

y4udothistome 2025-07-21 22:48

Just out of curiosity does Elon musk drive his own car-does he use full self driving or does he have a driver. I bet he don’t trust his own software

Mokmo 2025-07-21 23:19

Inventory so tight!

TheImpPaysHisDebts 2025-07-21 23:25

The issue is really that Musk is not simply a confident, brash leader (there are many of those)... he's both childish and headstrong. $4.20 pricing for Robotaxi (and then $6.90). The shape of the expanded service area. And not taking repeated advice to tamp down his comments as to when things would be delivered (and what they would deliver and for how much) on investor calls and other interviews. He was flagged by the SEC for this stuff. Forgetting politics and other public statements he makes... just purely from the perspective of a leader of a company... he can't be trusted on ANY statement he makes about ANYTHING. And even when something is released/deployed, there's no transparency to validate the claims being made (e.g., Optimus not being remote controlled). Just say "We are going to continue to make incremental improvements to this Advanced Variable Driver Safety technology to where we expect to be within reach of Level 4 Self Driving..."

dtyamada 2025-07-21 23:50

Of course, cuz they're not a car company /s

Jezon 2025-07-21 23:51

Well about eight states block sales of Teslas because of their direct sale model. So people just have to go to another state. It could happen here maybe, but if so it's just a matter of going to another state to buy a car saving some sales tax.

FlipZip69 2025-07-22 00:08

If you look at the stock price, Tesla really has done nothing for 5 years. Up and downs but with all the stock options to directors along with brokerage fees, if you bought stock in that time, you on average lost money.

Top_Junket2991 2025-07-22 00:11

It's not a car company, hello?

whisperwrongwords 2025-07-22 00:24

I hear they're even capable of making it through a car wash every now and then. Pretty impressive.

whisperwrongwords 2025-07-22 00:25

It's a grok company now

Maximum-Objective-39 2025-07-22 00:48

A submarine.

L-WinthorpeIII 2025-07-22 02:51

😂😂😂 It would nothing for safety and will not remove FSD or Autopilot from the road.

Litig8or53 2025-07-22 03:21

They do, actually.

friendIdiglove 2025-07-22 04:43

Just in time delivery with optimized assembly line exit velocity and unmatched factory volumetric efficiency.

beholden_to_colden 2025-07-22 05:40

Nothing. Ever. Happens.

Phatty8888 2025-07-22 06:26

lol way to punish all the hardworking people at Tesla bc of a political beef. You go, Gavin! And your pet Rob Bonta.

Actually-Yo-Momma 2025-07-22 10:39

Less cars make it more of a collectors item! Bullish!!!!!

Grunge4U 2025-07-22 12:59

It would be great if California actually does this. A New York state Senator has proposed to stop sale of Tesla's in New York but that was in April and I haven't read about any progress on this. Losing California would be a huge blow against Tesla. Not very many people would go out of their way to buy a Tesla out of state just to proudly sponsor a Nazi.

MayContainRawNuts 2025-07-22 14:08

If he was a normal ceo, the stock would be priced realistically. But he's not and its not. Dick shaped maps +1 to stock price. $69 rides +1 to stock price. Hitler salutes +10 to stock price. His looney tunes act is precisely what the stock holders want. If it wasn't they would not have given him the huge bonus. They all know the second the world realises the Emporer has no clothes, they all bankrupt

gatechICS83 2025-07-22 14:23

Is you had said 3 years, you would have a point, but 5 is demonstrably false. As of today, the stock price is 246.14% of the price 5 years ago. Also, I'm not quite sure why you mentioned brokerage fees. Most online brokerages no longer charge any trading fee for US stocks.

crosstheroom 2025-07-22 15:37

Oligarchs hate regulations because it protects consumers and hurts the rich. In fact they are trying to gaslight people that regulations are bad.

truesy 2025-07-22 19:42

good. i'm all for tech breaking rules and moving things forward, but when it has to do with peoples' safety it should be much more controlled. it's crazy how long this has been allowed to happen.

RonMatten 2025-07-23 02:01

It’s definitely not a NAZI car, and I will buy another one when I am ready.

RonMatten 2025-07-23 02:02

It the best car I have owned.

hilldog4lyfe 2025-07-23 04:08

Inshallah

thequeensegg 2025-07-25 16:18

Elon Musk, the founder and CEO of Tesla, made a nazi salute on television on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. His AI recommended genocide and praised Hitler. He tweeted that it is "the actual truth" that Jewish people hate non-Jewish people. There's more evidence of why someone would call it a nazi car than there is reason to not call it one

TheDonRonster 2025-08-07 01:54

A state that wants to ban the sale of all ICE vehicles in the somewhat near future is considering banning the largest all electric car manufacturer in the US? California is at it again...
