Musk is probably insufferable to be around at this point. Blaming all his failures on everyone but himself. "I can't take 6 fucking months off to fix the country without you idiots letting the whole company go to shit. God. Do I have to do everything myself? You're fired, you're fired, you, get the fuck out of here. BigBalls, you are now Chief Operating Officer, I want Grok driving all Tesla by year end! Make it so!"

strycco 2025-07-15 15:35

If what he's doing with Grok is any indicator, I'm confident that he's thumbing the scale on the dumbest possible design and product choices imaginable. Probably why so many people responsible for actually selling his stuff are moving on.

Another one bites the dust There ought to be a song about it.

fossilnews 2025-07-15 15:42

This is spot on.

CompoteDeep2016 2025-07-15 15:43

Musk will take over he is the ubermensch, able to accomplish things our mere mortal brains will never be able to understand. God I hate this mf

reeefur 2025-07-15 15:43

Why would you stay when you can use your resume at Tesla to get a better job at this point. Smart, run for the hills, Tesla no longer attracts the best and greatest.

ciel_lanila 2025-07-15 15:45

God damn the Grok arc has been the stupidest thing ever. Mush claimed he was buying Twitter to kill the bots. Last night he announced official Grok powered Twitter thirst trap anime girl bots

Red-FFFFFF-Blue 2025-07-15 15:45

Who is this guy? Yahoo Finance said John Walker held that position in December 2024.

Radarhog1976 2025-07-15 15:48

All the good ones and smart ones are quitting!

sunsetman120 2025-07-15 15:51

The grok integration is possibly raising a few moral and ethical issues too.

Shootels 2025-07-15 15:51

This is what I’m thinking. Tesla is losing all its best talent, there’s no way this end up well for the stock or the company. I know years ago it was THE place to want to work as a young engineer. My guess would be that has changed.

Low_Shirt2726 2025-07-15 15:53

Wtf lol. I give it an hour maximum after launch til people have gotten it to impersonate overt jailbait

How bad must it be when even the well paid rats are jumping ship.

radiostarred 2025-07-15 15:57

The whole Grok business is just a scam to justify Tesla buying xAI at some point, thereby transferring public investor cash directly into Musk's pocket.

strycco 2025-07-15 16:06

Twitter's just a monetized 4chan now. No idea why any self-respecting business would want to associate their brand with that dumpster fire. Any content that's even remotely beneficial and/or useful is there purely because of inertia.

[deleted] 2025-07-15 16:57

Buy buy buy, another +5% is on the horizon!

reeefur 2025-07-15 17:06

Yah I'm fine with AI in my car, just not the self proclaimed MechaHitler LOL 🤦🏻‍♂️

blazinsmokey 2025-07-15 17:40

They are just leaving bc it’s a dumpster fire. Musk isn’t firing anyone, he’s too busy setting the Tesla brand on fire.

VitaminPb 2025-07-15 19:27

Grok is just monetized 4Chan and FurherMusk tweets.

VitaminPb 2025-07-15 19:28

I’ll take the under on that bet.

FerragudoFred 2025-07-15 19:35

How many execs is Tesla down in just the past few weeks?

boxjellyfishing 2025-07-15 19:44

>Probably why so many people responsible for actually selling his stuff are moving on. Rats fleeing a sinking ship. Today, VP of Sales at Tesla has some weight and status. 6 months from now, that job may be the laughing stock of the industry, and they may struggle to land a job anywhere close to their current title and pay.

strycco 2025-07-15 19:45

There's been a brain drain at Tesla for years now. The significance of the last couple firings were that they were sales guys, presumably guys who recognized Musk's value was truly in his ability to sell hype. That's what sales ultimately is after all, regardless of industry. If they're jumping ship, IMO that's a sign that whatever he's cooking up next is going to be tough to move.

generally_unsuitable 2025-07-15 19:54

I had a boss that told me "Building this device isn't hard. Raising 180 million in venture capital is hard. " Sure thing, pal. He was, coincidentally, an internationally famous celebrity, and he could get a meeting with literally anybody with a phone call.

Pancheel 2025-07-15 20:33

If Vanguard is still in then the gambling game continues, the volatility of a big market cap ticker is too tasty to let it go. If Vanguard or another big fat cat start leaving the dumpster then it's the real beginning of the end.

YamaToraBro 2025-07-15 20:43

He fired the European Director of Sales stating he'll fix the sales himself

Top_Junket2991 2025-07-15 20:54

Sales bonuses are based on targets. If no target, no bonus, who would stay for base pay?

y4udothistome 2025-07-15 21:09

Yeah he’s getting rid of all the people that caused the problems funny he’s blaming them

[deleted] 2025-07-15 21:47

Haha, he's no Picard. He's not even Barclay! Wishes he was Q, but...again, no. Who is he in the Trek universe? Not Quark. Definitely not Noonian Soong. Ugh...who is he????

mrbuttsavage 2025-07-15 21:58

> Musk is probably insufferable to be around at this point. *at this point*??

razor_train 2025-07-15 22:47

Kes. Exceedingly dull and contributed nothing but filler.

[deleted] 2025-07-15 23:03

Hehe...sure he'd love that! She's the original UWU girl...😜😘

account_for_norm 2025-07-15 23:31

I heard his Twitter conference when he laid off a bunch of people. And his condescending argument went something like this, "we have so much debt to pay. We have to cut cost and make more money. This debt is huge!" That debt didnt exist until he showed up. He bought twitter with the debt on twitter. If not for that purchase there would be no extra debt. So he simply removes the actor, like Israel, and says "we have a debt now" (as like Israel saying "98 palestenians died")

No-Budget-9765 2025-07-16 02:35

Vanguard is big. Their biggest funds are index funds. Many of the market indexes include Tesla. Vanguard needs to follow the composition of the indexes. Guess what would happen to Tesla stock if the S&P removes Tesla from the index.

morbiiq 2025-07-16 03:34

Luckily for them Tesla notoriously underpays.

DifferentialVole 2025-07-16 03:45

I think the moral and ethical issues predate grok...

TheBurgareanSlapper 2025-07-16 04:20

The first Excelsior captain with the riding crop.

Bubbly_Manager2227 2025-07-16 07:15

Go on, give us a clue!

Darkstar197 2025-07-16 23:48

This quote seems so real

EarthConservation 2025-07-17 21:03

"How am I gonna increase sales when Elon won't shut the fuck up." \- ex-VP Sales.... probably.
