We laugh at your "giga". For TSLA talk, and flotsam and jetsam not warranting its own post...

Good morning here is the link to last week's Terathread. https://old.reddit.com/r/RealTesla/comments/1ltq8we/tsla_terathread_for_the_week_of_jul_07/

FrogmanKouki 2025-07-14 10:08

Some may not believe but we are seeing signs of a new era. If Tesla can invest in xAI which is already tied to Twitter and SpaceX, we will have so much synergy. If Tesla can revive the Boring Co with some much needed projects and cash we will be one step closer to Tesla being the anything but cars company! I've yet to imagine how they can synergize with his Neuralink but I'm sure genius Musk will think of a way! TSLA fans have been talking about all this cash on hand and their CEO is more than happy to put it to use in other companies.

YamaToraBro 2025-07-14 10:25

Ah yes, there's nothing like buying a company without a CEO that bleeds 1billion a month to develop a fascist AI

Far_Review4292 2025-07-14 11:01

Is it still Saturday night where you are? The boring company?

Far_Review4292 2025-07-14 11:03

This pile of shit must collapse soon, the sales are dwindling, and no new revenue is coming in.

CompoteDeep2016 2025-07-14 11:05

I hate this fucking company and stock. Needed to get it off my chest as I see this shit rising to 340 eow probably.

Emotional_Goal9525 2025-07-14 11:19

Bill Hwang just went to prison not too long ago. This will end the same, though i don't think mr. Musk is the type of guy who would do well in prison.

blake_ch 2025-07-14 12:23

To me, it's the opposite. Tesla, as a car company, is declining. FSD promises were never fulfilled and are not near to be. The robot is just a joke. Then, add potential merger with other companies. It's just running the clock but will inevitably fail.

Zorkmid123 2025-07-14 12:26

So in the past few days we learned tha SpaceX invented $2 billion into xAI and now Eloh is talking about Tesla investing in it too? You got to love how Eloh uses his own companies to bail out his other companies.

SolutionWarm6576 2025-07-14 12:48

See. This is messed up again. They canceled the affordable EV, Elon denied it and said the AP are liars. Board asks if it’s in fact, not cancelled. Elon doesn’t say anything. Point being, it was reported that SpaceX is investing, I think, 12 billion into XAi to raise capital. Elon denies it. Says XAi has enough capital and doesn’t need it. Can never get the real story with him and his companies.

SolutionWarm6576 2025-07-14 12:49

Sorry. 2 billion.

SolutionWarm6576 2025-07-14 12:52

The ending of the CAFE, emission penalties other automakers had to pay(the credits bought from Tesla), are going to kill them. The sale of those credits accounted for 400 million, in the first quarter. They would have been in the red, without that. The EV rebates ending will be bad. But those CAFE fines being eliminated, will be far worse.

ObservationalHumor 2025-07-14 12:57

Apparently xAI is going to use some of that money they're raising to disassemble and import a power plant from outside the country to power their data center. Can't make this shit up: https://www.datacenterdynamics.com/en/news/xai-importing-power-plant-from-abroad-for-new-memphis-data-center-elon-musk-claims/

FrogmanKouki 2025-07-14 13:06

I remember when Elon's "mission" was clean energy and moving towards a green future. Now it's throwing mobile gas power stations and a power plant towards the objective of a pro-Elon AI bot.

FrogmanKouki 2025-07-14 13:11

My first comment was sarcasm heavy. No chance of a merger with Elon as CEO. And if Elon is gone there is a high chance TSLA will drop 85%+ as his departure will be admission of missed promises. And even if those things happen most brands won't want the Tesla name as it's been tarnished. Looking at Tesla from a pure assets POV, they have a handful of factories that are making EVs at scale but... What will be the demand for those as they age and US EV incentives decline? With no new breakthroughs or models on the horizon in the next 2,3, or 5 years, the car business fundamentals of Tesla will be back to 2017/18 levels.

FrogmanKouki 2025-07-14 13:14

Boring Co has been disrupting for years. I have yet to see another company with multiple billions in valuation all the while only having a single public project. That project was over budget, behind schedule, and under delivered. Yet still the Las Vegas convention center wanted more single lane tunnels! Disrupt!

FrogmanKouki 2025-07-14 13:15

As I said last week. He's building a house of cards straight up.

ObservationalHumor 2025-07-14 13:22

What's great about it to me is that Tesla clearly can't even satisfy the demand for power itself. He's literally helmed the company for a decade, tossed out that mission statement as one part of his 'master plan' and even bought his cousin's failing solar company because it supposedly had such a winning product and cutting edge factory. Yet he can't get the solar cells or battery storage for that one data center. But yeah Lanthorp will produce enough storage someday or something and lets just ignore the fact that Tesla doesn't produce any of its own solar panels or roof tiles at this point either. As usual Musk moved onto his next grift. Apparently stopping global warming isn't a priority anymore (he said as much during an interview with Trump) and now it's all about robotaxis and FSD because... I guess car accidents still? Totally not just the ridiculous sums of money he's saying it'll make because that's not what really motivates him right? And of course Grok a 'truth seeking AI' not just some LLM with a curated data set that says what Musk wants it to and references his own statements. God forbid people think independently and don't blindly parrot the gospel of Elon, because that would somehow be a real disaster since his ego would be hurt.

Lacrewpandora 2025-07-14 13:32

smh - You've completely left out the poverty ending robots.

FrogmanKouki 2025-07-14 14:39

Yes we are on the cusp, just a few short years until the age of abundance. "Anyone will have anything they want"

FrogmanKouki 2025-07-14 14:44

It's a double edge sword in the worst way. Fewer sales of their core product (see:80-90%) the model 3/y. And that will be compounded by fewer carbon credits to sell along with fewer companies looking to buy said credits. I know I'm merely repeating what you said **but it really can't be overstated how critical the EV tax rebate and carbon credits are to Tesla maintaining profitability.**

Far_Review4292 2025-07-14 15:47

He's this generations Robert Maxwell, Ghislaine's dad.

ObservationalHumor 2025-07-14 16:19

Just need five of these a month and they can cover their expenses.

TheMightyBattleCat 2025-07-14 17:07

Sarah and John Cohen have gone into hiding.

Icy-Foundation6540 2025-07-14 17:24

The way Tesla sells and delivers cars in Europe is just ridiculous. Want a car in Norway, OK we deliver ever third month. Want a car in July? OK you'll get it in September. Or maybe December.

Far_Review4292 2025-07-14 18:25

Has anyone asked Grok to predict Teslas sales?

wootnootlol 2025-07-14 19:55

Yes, Leon did. [https://i0.wp.com/electrek.co/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2025/07/Elon-Musk-Tesla-robotaxi-penis.png?w=1500&quality=82&strip=all&ssl=1](https://i0.wp.com/electrek.co/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2025/07/Elon-Musk-Tesla-robotaxi-penis.png?w=1500&quality=82&strip=all&ssl=1)

Digg-Sucks 2025-07-14 20:20

>Tesla is set to post second-quarter results next week, with UBS analysts on Monday calling the stock **"fundamentally overvalued"** ahead of its earnings report. No shit. >They said they will be looking for updates on Tesla's delayed, more affordable vehicle It's coming in the first half of 2025 why are they so confused? >With their "sell" rating and $215 price target Whole business is shit but $215 share...

Top_Junket2991 2025-07-14 20:35

They can sell their stock lol. I'm surprised why these analysts are complaining yet buying more of tesla. They're paying at nearly 180x p/e when there's Google at 40 something and has Waymo that works. Tesla will say affordable car coming Q1 next year and the stock will rally. Come Q1, they'll say 2028. Like roadster and semi.

Steak_Itchy 2025-07-14 20:56

This made me want to finally get rid of my TSLA puts. Like, STILL? The Trump admin is STILL doing favors for Elon? There's just no way this is the administration that allows Tesla stock to crash. Ive had my puts for months but man, did not expect Trump to still be helping him out. Its over.. Plus, the cult will applaud the xAI merger for no good reason. Someone here may have to convince me to keep my puts.. https://www.reddit.com/r/technology/s/A8VSBEOQYU

daveo18 2025-07-14 20:57

The Berlin factory was mean to fix this

CompoteDeep2016 2025-07-14 21:13

Nah we are fucked. Next week earnings will be slightly better than expected, although being pathetic for a trillion dollar company. Fuckin stock will shoot to 380$

totpot 2025-07-14 22:20

I think Elon definitely hoovered up a bunch of Epstein docs as part of DOGE's unfettered access to sensitive government systems and this is them trying to throw a bone to him to not release them. I think Elon will hold off for now, but you know that guy has no self control.

FrogmanKouki 2025-07-14 22:40

Exactly this. Earnings will show that revenue for model 3/y is down along with thinning margins. All while facing the headwinds of tax rebates ending and carbon credits fading. The positive? These 2 products account for 80%+ of company earnings and won't be replaced or see a second generation for 3-5 years or longer. The next biggest revenue? Energy storage will also show thinning margins. All of this is very bullish, $420 is back on the menu.

Far_Review4292 2025-07-14 22:48

Check out Robert Maxwell, Elmo has a similar set up.

Digg-Sucks 2025-07-14 22:56

>the administration that allows Tesla stock to crash No administration is responsible for the meme status of TSLA. The cult is still strong and they will still buy every "dip". Anything short of absolutely horrendous earnings will be meaningless because some future non existent product is what will really make them $. If this wasn't the case then things like tweets saying "Most epic demo ever" wouldn't move the stock. Puts require you to be right that TSLA is overvalued (the easy part) and that you know the time frame of the collapse (the hard part).

whiskeybeachwaffle 2025-07-15 01:49

This level of synergy has not been seen since Musk bailed out his cousins at SolarCity

atpplk 2025-07-15 07:36

TESLA is a [double pendulum](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double_pendulum). You know it goes to 0, you just don't know when it will stop and the moves it'll take. And the double pendulum stops loops for a while and you think it is done looping and then it loops again.

Far_Review4292 2025-07-15 08:15

China sales figures Week 28 to July 13th. Tesla are falling way behind BYD [BYD](https://cnevpost.com/byd/) (HKG: 1211, OTCMKTS: BYDDY) brand vehicles had an insurance registration volume of 48,780 units last week, a decrease of 12.22 percent from the previous week's 55,570 units. Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) registered 12,270 vehicles for insurance in China last week, up 144.91 percent from 5,010 the previous week, making it one of the few to see sequentially growth.

Far_Review4292 2025-07-15 08:20

Tesla are going to be lucky to sell half the cars they sold last year. They may sell 500k in China, which is far short of the 1.79m they sold worldwide last year.

RagaToc 2025-07-15 08:38

Calling 12k growth is a bit too simple. Tesla needs to hit an average of 12,600 per week to get to their 2024 China sales. So even the increased number is below the number they need to hit every week to not be shrinking. I don't see how Tesla will prevent shrinking in all 3 of its important markets (US, China and EU/UK).

Far_Review4292 2025-07-15 08:48

I agree, they only sold 5000 cars the week before, so only 17k in two weeks that should be 25 200. They also keep saying they are exporting cars from China, but to where? Its not like they are selling flat out anywhere else. These numbers do not add up, it seems that Tesla is going to sell 50% less cars worldwide than forecast.

Far_Review4292 2025-07-15 08:51

[Leapmotor](https://cnevpost.com/leapmotor/) (HKG: 9863) had 8,560 insurance registrations last week, a decrease of 8.84 percent from the previous week's 9,390. It delivered 48,006 vehicles in June, marking the second consecutive month of record-high deliveries. This represents a 138.65 percent increase from the 20,116 units delivered in the same period last year. Aito -- the brand co-developed by [Huawei](https://cnevpost.com/huawei/) and Seres Group -- saw 8,610 insurance registrations last week, a decrease of 8.40 percent from the previous week's 9,400.

CompoteDeep2016 2025-07-15 09:06

They plan the deliveries, so that the last month of the quarter is by far the best so that they have an upward trend and always positive news around the earnings report. its a psychological scheme that is so blunt and pathetic but still works... still i think they somehow tweak the numbers by 10-15%. i just can't yet figure out how. so sad that no whistleblowers come forward... but maybe i am wrong and still so many people buy subpar swasticars in the world. especially for china i dont understand why in hell they would buy products from the US when the local cars are really as good or even better and the US treats them like shit...

Tind_L_Laylor 2025-07-15 10:17

So long as the people who are supposed to rein in Elon's crime syndicate are $TSLA shareholders, betting against this stock is not smart.

FrogmanKouki 2025-07-15 12:55

That would be shocking. Q3 may pull some sales ahead but Q4 will be a wild ride if the EV incentives don't come back.

CompoteDeep2016 2025-07-15 13:51

my puts expire in december, fuck that. q4 will be a devastation. q3 probably will be another trend up because the incentives run out and many people will rush into buying a swasticar

FrogmanKouki 2025-07-15 15:20

Yes, by "wild ride" I meant down hill.. at least I hope. Reality and TSLA are long over due for a meeting

jason12745 2025-07-15 15:20

Probably asked to cook the books, or can see the sales slump happening. Either way its not good.

Your words in God's ear, although I am agnostic 😅

Affectionate_One7558 2025-07-15 15:59

Books are cooked. Labeling warranty repairs as goodwill is cooking the books. Changing used car sales to new is deceiving investors. Row-Maleficent 2025-07-15 18:13

Baidu (BIDU) up nearly 10% today on news that it has struck a deal with Uber. This cannot be good for Tesla's global robotaxi ambitions. The two companies [announced](https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20250714465052/en/Baidu-and-Uber-Join-Forces-to-Accelerate-Autonomous-Vehicle-Deployment) Tuesday that they have agreed to a “multi-year strategic partnership to deploy thousands of Baidu’s Apollo Go autonomous vehicles (AVs) on the Uber platform” in multiple markets outside the U.S. and mainland China. Those deployments will start in Asia and the Middle East later this year, the companies said. Tesla are so behind in this market.

FrogmanKouki 2025-07-15 22:32

Nope, I'm not clicking that, the url is enough

CompoteDeep2016 2025-07-16 05:27

I am so disappointed that Trump doesn't unleash his wrath on Elon and pushes all agencies to rip him another a hole. God I would have loved to watch that. Damn

mrbuttsavage 2025-07-16 07:40

I missed that the head of HR left around the same time the other execs did last month. That was definitely underreported. I feel like that one is the actual worst sign of them all. Must have needed a scapegoat why they can't hire anyone anymore. Possibly related that I've gotten a whole bunch of recruiting spam from Tesla over the summer.

CompoteDeep2016 2025-07-16 08:14

Would be nice to have an overview who left of the top level execs this year and who came after. Most of the positions are now held by Elon. That's such a shitshow and it's a fucking trillion dollar company. It behaves like a startup of twenty something year olds

Cardborg 2025-07-16 08:26

But the URL doesn't even mention the secret "full gooner mode" Elon added

PortoFlip 2025-07-16 09:16

Elon Musk can easily add that role to the dozen or so other full time positions. He's a genius and is famously known for his philosophy of quick decisions where thinking about things for more than 5 minutes is detrimental to the outcome. He's also known for his "first principles" where vast amounts of accrued knowledge in any field is replaced with what he can drum up during a ketamine binge.

Far_Review4292 2025-07-16 09:18

Elmo thinks that Redditors are his target audience, even though 90% of them probably couldn't afford one of his Elmobiles.

Far_Review4292 2025-07-16 09:26

Its going to drop like a stone today, top execs leaving, plunging sales of elmobiles, the cybertruck investment written off, Waymo 250k miles ahead in the Taxi business, Baidu and Uber tying up, and not knowing what the CEO and his grot chatbot will come out with next! All this news will sink in today.

sunsetman120 2025-07-16 09:35

Yet went up 8% because they started trialling something waymo have been doing for years. And on the day Uber and Baidu sign a global deal for driverless taxis, Elmo goes and draws a dick on a map of Austin in response. Genius obviously.

CompoteDeep2016 2025-07-16 09:39

Shit is gonna move sideways like a fucking crab between 300-320$ before earnings. Felon will come up with any shit he can think of before and during earnings to pump the stock. I expect new model vapor as well as insane robotaxi ramp up promises combined with new videos of the Optimus nazibot. Earnings will be shit but probably as expected or slightly better. I just have lost faith in the market realizing Elon is a delusional, drug addict nazi sympathizer. My hope was trump really fucking him up but he tacos there as always...

BuckChintheRealtor 2025-07-16 09:57

Given the recent U-turn a lot of MAGA influencers did on the Epstein list (usual suspects like Gunther Eagleman, Catturd, Kirk etc.), clearly the influencers are being influenced by much mightier forces than themselves. It will be interesting to see if Musk will flip flop too. How mighty are those unknown powers? And is he immune to them?

ObservationalHumor 2025-07-16 10:46

Definitely a sign of how bad things are internally. You don't have a massive amount of turnover if people actually believe the stock is about to 10x or that they're building something worthwhile. I really think a lot of this boils down to people being unwilling to unable to convince Musk that he's the biggest problem the company has currently and that it's impacting literally every aspect of the business.

ObservationalHumor 2025-07-16 10:56

Doubt it, he's super jazzed about Grok 4 and siphoning money into xAI from his other companies. I think he's more likely to make releasing the Epstein list one of the core focuses of the America Party than to ignore it and fall in line. Trump has already pulled his subsidies and he's likely still pissed about that. Political influencers on the other hand are just there to parrot and aggregate content that agrees with their audience's existing views. For the MAGA crowd that's just agreeing with every Trump says. None of these people are actually in the business of doing much independent thought or analysis.

Far_Review4292 2025-07-16 11:40

Dick on a map. lolol

henrik_se 2025-07-16 12:13

A MAN, an Iveco, and a Scania EV truck drove up through Germany, Denmark, and Sweden. You won't believe what happens next! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODd4wpl946k Absolutely fucking nothing. Shit just works. Charging infrastructure is good enough. You can buy the trucks today. All the numbers are in the video, charging speed, engine power, battery sizes, range, charging times. (There's a couple of Tesla morons in the comments who are basically going "just you wait!!1!1!!!")

Now that Bitcoin’s pumping again…What are the odds $TSLA magically “rediscovers” those unrealized gains just in time to juice Q2 earnings - after pretending they didn’t exist when BTC was dumping in Q1?

jason12745 2025-07-17 01:07

Changing accounting standards quarter by quarter based on the movement of magic beans is totally normal.

FrogmanKouki 2025-07-17 01:36

You'd think a startup would pull those moves like that not a company on the S&P.

FrogmanKouki 2025-07-17 01:36

It's been a while since the no /s worked. Glad to see we can still do it from time to time

You gonna make me search for it? My thumbs are exhausted.

[deleted] 2025-07-17 04:41

Stock has now 100% decoupled from fundamentals. $3-5B/year lost in EV subsidies, stock up. Second and final falling out with Trump and Republicans, stock up. It's $BTC. Rumor Elon mad Palantir has higher P/E. Expect massive pumping and inflated Q2 & Q3 earnings prior to shareholder xAI investment vote in November. Elon's singular focus is raiding the Tesla piggy bank to the tune of $5-10B for his xAI dream. My new TSLA price target: $520 by EOY.

CompoteDeep2016 2025-07-17 06:24

It's not any company in the s&p. It's in the top ten of the most valuable companies of the world. Worth over a trillion, fighting for profit in 2025 which I think they won't achieve. My brother has a fucking plumbing company with roughly 800k of profit per year. He will be more profitable than tesla. Think about it for a second and try not to get crazy

FrogmanKouki 2025-07-17 10:08

>try not to get crazy I can't make any promises but it does seem we should educate kids for the vocation and service jobs. I have a childhood friend that runs a one man HVAC company, 200k profit per year is possible.

FrogmanKouki 2025-07-17 10:10

Also from the chatter I'm seeing the long wheel base 6 seat Model Y makes the Model x irrelevant... Will the model 3 update make the S unnecessary as well?

CompoteDeep2016 2025-07-17 10:40

Yeah his top plumbers make 100k$ in southern Germany. They have no real job education, training completely on the job. He pays really well compared to competition because he hates fluctuation and is a pretty social entrepreneur. But I mean it's fucking plumbing, so nobody wants to do it.

jason12745 2025-07-17 11:53

Merci! Too few of these nowadays :)

*UBER TO INVEST $300M IN LUCID AS PART OF ROBOTAXI PARTNERSHIP *LUCID SHARES JUMP 62% ON $300 MILLION INVESTMENT FROM UBER

Lacrewpandora 2025-07-17 12:50

They're practically unnecesary already. With a little over 10k "other" sales per quarter, with 5k guesstimated to be Incel Caminos, S & X sales are down to around 20k/year.

Lacrewpandora 2025-07-17 12:51

Occasionally I get the satisfaction of getting downvoted...but then the damn regulars come along and start upvoting for the sarcasm :(

FrogmanKouki 2025-07-17 12:52

I hope they keep selling the "other" cars for another 5+ years without proper replacements. Might get down to 10k sales a year

Lacrewpandora 2025-07-17 13:19

I view it as a psychological experiment. The Model S hasn't really changed its appearance in 13 years of existence, yet a small but vocal group of Branch Elonians pretend to swoon over each "refresh". It reminds me of North Koreans pretending to mourn after their dictator died. But I really think we're down to the core group of Elongelical holdouts (and maybe some car services in China that like longer cars) - they'll keep buying these shiny turds for years to come, so I think they may have found a floor.

Inconceivable76 2025-07-17 13:31

That was my thought as well. The wheelbase of that y is now longer than the x. I assume overall size is close to the x.  They can quietly just sunset the x without calling it as such.

hpass 2025-07-17 13:56

fElon is going to announce that xAI is about to release AGI, then merge Tesla with xAI. Txsla share price goes to $10000.

Nick_Gilberts_Bowtie 2025-07-17 14:17

TSLA up on this news lol

Zorkmid123 2025-07-17 15:42

Waymo just expanded their covered area in Austin. They cover way more (haha) area than Tesla does just in Austin now. I was told by Tesla Stans that Waymo can’t scale.

Monk315 2025-07-17 16:37

At this point I'm convinced it's just because they like being able to spell out S3XY in the marketing material.

FrogmanKouki 2025-07-17 16:40

They want it to be S3XY CARS because they are super clever and a serious company Cybertruck A? Roadster? Semi?

Digg-Sucks 2025-07-17 17:31

>On May 14, almost a year after Tesla's move, Texas changed its law to allow corporations in the state to require 3% ownership before being able to carry forth a shareholder derivative suit. >**"The very next day, Tesla's board amended the Company's bylaws to the maximum allowable 3% ownership threshold**, effectively insulating the Company's directors and officers from accountability to shareholders," Gotta prevent the plebs from getting your 50 billion. >After several years of disagreements between the company and large portions of its shareholder base, investors can only hope that any disconnect is swiftly closed. Hull concludes: “Strong governance and stakeholder dialogue are essential for long-term value creation. We’d like to see Tesla’s board step up, provide clarity on this delay, and **recommit to the accountability** shareholders deserve.” Referring the the rescheduling of the annual board meeting - I am wondering when this board was ever committed to accountability? The CEO did a Nazi salute and they did nothing.

Far_Addition1210 2025-07-17 18:18

EV batteries from China set to be hit with a massive tariff. Is this mango man getting back at Elmo?

FrogmanKouki 2025-07-17 18:24

What do you mean board accountability? The board has plenty of ability to count the growth of their bank accounts.

wootnootlol 2025-07-17 21:53

It's fun to see all the new blood in this sub over last year. But it's extremely funny to see people posting, with huge confidence, saying that "event X will finally pop the bubble and TSLA WILL drop like a rock". Kids, this THE OG meme stock. Nothing that happen to Tesla as a company has any effect on TSLA.

Lacrewpandora 2025-07-17 22:25

I think one day something will come out of left field to tank TSLA...something totally unexpected that I can't even pretend to predict.

jason12745 2025-07-17 22:36

Kinda funny to see none of the hopes of the bulls materialize and none of the thinking of the bears be correct at all. One is wrong on the company, the other wrong on the stock.

wootnootlol 2025-07-17 23:06

I agree, one day something will happen. But it'll be likely something stupid and minor compared to all the other scams that didn't move the needle.

MrGelowe 2025-07-17 23:07

A company that sells autonomous cars, is a car company. A company that provides autonomous robotaxi services, is a taxi company. A full self driving taxi is a taxi and will be competing with other taxis. Currently global value of taxi industry is ~$300b and US ~$74b. Tesla is beyond overvalued.

Zorkmid123 2025-07-18 01:19

I saw someone driving a Cybertruck a few days ago. It had a bumper sticker that said “I bought this before we knew Elon was crazy.” lol

jason12745 2025-07-18 02:13

Any updates on the number of cars that have delivered themselves?

wootnootlol 2025-07-18 03:42

One of my coworkers has fck Elon sticker on his Cybertruck. Only way I can explain it is that someone else put it there.

BrainwashedHuman 2025-07-18 03:48

One. (Actually good question though, I don’t know).

BrainwashedHuman 2025-07-18 03:49

“I buried my head in the sand for a decade”

NecessaryYam3857 2025-07-18 04:52

One day all these meme stocks will have to exist in a real recession. Not a couple months of weak demand we had in Covid but a real, reorganization of resources within the economy, >7% unemployment, year (or more) long recession. When that happens we'll see how well TSLA maintains its stock price. (I guess it's possible we're in a post scarcity world and there are no more real recessions coming, so everything will grow towards infinity forever, but I doubt it).

gwenver 2025-07-18 08:21

Yes, but Tesla is a (insert here) company, so no comparison.

gwenver 2025-07-18 08:25

Yeh. I've hated TSLA for long enough to know never to bet against the stock price. That said, the bad news is just piling up and I don't see much potential good news.

Far_Review4292 2025-07-18 09:12

What is the Cybertruck factory doing at the moment? Are they laid off?

poissonous 2025-07-18 09:37

Dumped my X today 🥳🍾

noobgiraffe 2025-07-18 10:55

That's what tesla fanboys doing their "models" ignore. They ingore: * adressable market size * competition that will drive prices down * the fact that demand fluctuates, if you have enough taxis to serve the peak they will stand around the rest of the day * all the corporate costs * huge infrastructure that you would need to build and maintain to support millions of cars * customer preferences * tons and tons of other stuff

orgasm-enjoyer 2025-07-18 11:04

What's your favorite cab company? Most people don't care. It's a low margin industry with basically zero costs to switch from Uber to Lyft to whoever. Not much opportunity for anybody to jack up the profit margins, especially if multiple companies have equivalent software

orgasm-enjoyer 2025-07-18 11:06

Elon becomes a born again Christian and starts apologizing for all of his past deeds. Furious investors sell the stock hand over fist

FrogmanKouki 2025-07-18 11:32

Space X? X account? Model X? Kidding I assume it's the Model X but herein lies the problem with calling everything X

FrogmanKouki 2025-07-18 11:33

Just takes one to matter. Look at the battery swaps. They only did it once but could totally start doing it again TODAY!

FrogmanKouki 2025-07-18 11:34

Should have a sticker that says >I need as much attention as my daddy Elon

ILikeCatsAndSquids 2025-07-18 13:26

If Musk has the goods on Trump then spill them. Otherwise, shut up, Elon.

noobgiraffe 2025-07-18 14:03

Company is doing horribly, everything is against them, their profit is about to be demciated by BBB, competition is ahead in all aspects, sales declining. Stock up 3% just because.

CompoteDeep2016 2025-07-18 14:04

Yeah we'll see above 400$ end of next week. A 1.3 trillion dollar company without profit moving towards a net loss.  People are retarded

poissonous 2025-07-18 14:26

X is my son

bikesnotbombs 2025-07-18 14:44

"The sales numbers at this point are strong and we see no problem with demand," he said. "Our stock wouldn't be trading near all-time highs if things weren't in good shape, they're fine, don't worry about it" --Leon, like a month ago

FrogmanKouki 2025-07-18 14:47

It will be above $420 because why not? Do the earnings calls even matter? It will just be nonsense deflection and moving of the goal posts. Don't forget the massive win of Robotaxi years late and .00001% of the claimed coverage. It's funny that TSLA can have no fundamentals to support the price and people will say Musk earned his wealth because he's a genius... And here we are dumbfounded

North-Outside-5815 2025-07-18 15:08

It’s pretty depressing to see how determined the cultists are.

totpot 2025-07-18 15:15

Elon could shoot someone in the middle of Fifth Avenue and the stock would go up.

Court case starts on Monday. Cali DMV v Tesla re: deceptive advertising on Autopilot and FSD. https://actionnetwork.org/events/protest-hold-tesla-accountable-in-court/

ObservationalHumor 2025-07-18 16:00

Market is getting really frothy in general and you've got the Trump administration pushing a lot of speculative bullshit through in the fintech sector via crypto and stable coins too. Forward S&P500 P/E is almost as high as it was 2021 during the 'disruption' craze and despite higher tariff rates, strained consumers, federal layoffs and massive budgetary pressure. In general I'd say the market is just greedy overall right now and valuations are becoming increasingly stretched across the board. TSLA is obviously an extreme example in all that but in general things are increasingly less and less tethered to reality and more hype driven. I think there's a good chance Trump fires Powell too and it'll under the pretense of this fabricated 'renovation scandal' that they've been investigating. Still the market has been shrugging off everything lately and it wouldn't surprise me if they just ignore it until the Supreme Court once again basically says that Trump can do whatever he wants.

CompoteDeep2016 2025-07-18 16:28

Yeah already said he could eat a child during live stream and stock would pump

KnucklesMcGee 2025-07-18 16:56

Ugh. If true they were deliberately looking away from the Covid denialism, Nazi platforming, etc.

ryan_dfs 2025-07-18 18:23

You mean the discords that surely exist where people just coordinate a gamma squeeze at 9:30 am every day? Literally legalized manipulation that won’t end until there’s a 40% correction that happens overnight.

Jason Fenske (Engineering Explained) is selling his Tesla. Apparently DOGE and Elon fired his wife (PhD) from the US Fish and Wildlife Service. https://youtu.be/QFLrDaV6nkE?feature=shared Nice to see Jason use the humor and sarcasm! But he does say as long as Elon is in charge he will never own another Tesla.

[deleted] 2025-07-18 22:32

I feel like Musk could say they permanently stopping production of EVs to focus on robotaxis (the actual one, not what they are using in TX) and robots and the stock would still go up Edit for spelling

happymancry 2025-07-19 00:50

I think we’re in the stage of techno-capitalist fascism where silly little things like conflict of interest don’t matter. Also: electric cars and robotaxis aren’t a zero sum game yet. If overall market size is going up, it makes sense to bet on 2 or more contenders.

gwenver 2025-07-19 10:17

Why did it take him so long?

Theferael_me 2025-07-19 10:19

Because people don't care about far-right extremism or fascism until it comes knocking at their door. That's my big take-away from the entire Musk/X/Nazi/Tesla timeline: people don't care, or certainly not in enough numbers to make a difference.

gwenver 2025-07-19 13:04

Yep. Was kind of a rhetorical question. Should have dumped it last year at the latest.

theviolatr 2025-07-19 15:54

So what happened to the new political party Elmo was supposed to start two weeks ago?

GarlicSweaty4987 2025-07-19 16:02

If you are here you know the answer. Coming out late 2025, maybe early 2026 due to some regulatory hurdles being worked on.

blazesquall 2025-07-19 21:09

It didn't impact him.. and when it did, the courts fixed it, sorta.. and now everyone else has made space to bandwagon on the downswing so it's "safe" now.

Far_Addition1210 2025-07-19 23:05

Elmo and the imbeciles is a good name for them. Elmo and the imbeciles in their Elmobiles.

AndSoISaysToTheGuy 2025-07-20 00:14

He's adding cold gas thrusters to it before release.

Ah, Elmo and the Imbeciles. Their debut album "Autopilot Dreams" was a classic

Top_Junket2991 2025-07-20 16:40

Elon saying on Twitter he'll focus on 7 days working. I guess whenever there is stock pressure, just say "fine I'll go to work"

CompoteDeep2016 2025-07-20 16:51

Anything before earnings to pump the stock. I expect him to say grok found an eighth day which he will work fully every week

FrogmanKouki 2025-07-20 17:03

We're kidding right? CEO that wants TSLA to be his personal piggy bank says..."but what if I worked for a week!?" Earnings call this week and one of the final pumps is hey what if I did my job?

wootnootlol 2025-07-20 17:42

Doing overtime as MechaHitler?

[deleted] 2025-07-20 18:32

The media keeps reporting his mouth farts like he's going to follow through. Are they stupid, or is there a monetary strategy?

jason12745 2025-07-20 20:58

He’s the only executive left. I think he just noticed.

ObservationalHumor 2025-07-20 22:00

Brought to you by the same man who fired thousands of government employees and terminated food and medical aid programs because they were wasteful. Meanwhile it's somehow supposed to be a big deal if actually works at Tesla after demanding tens of billions of dollars in compensation, continuing to demand a higher voting share and getting the company reincorporated in Texas so he's even less accountable to shareholders. Not to mention is chronic siphoning of employees and resources from Tesla to bolster his other companies and investments. Literally one of the most expensive and least productive employees on the planet at this point, but yeah that government employee with a PhD making $100k a year is the problem.

Lacrewpandora 2025-07-21 00:44

For some reason, I read it as code for: Tesla is about to get some DOGING. Elon is going to "work"...and for hom, "work" means downsizing. Layoffs incoming.

mrbuttsavage 2025-07-21 02:07

Dudes obsessed with performative working are for sure the most useless. That's why they demand you know about how much they work and how much they're in office.

[deleted] 2025-07-21 02:21

How many times has he announced this since leaving DOGE? This is at least the second time, but it still pumps the stock. Incredible.

jason12745 2025-07-21 03:06
