And they just push the shareholders meeting till November. Nothing to see here. Lol.

New_Reputation5222 2025-07-10 20:10

Illegally, too.

Tim-in-CA 2025-07-10 20:14

Heil Tesler

Intelligent-Rest-231 2025-07-10 20:18

They are busting out the joint Mob style. I’d bet Tesla pays Elon’s Xai piece of shit money losing company thousands per car. Tesla withers and dies as expected, but Twitter is suddenly profitable again.

DaveWierdoh 2025-07-10 20:25

Oh this will go great ...... not!

PatchyWhiskers 2025-07-10 20:29

It doesn't work... it can only turn hard right.

richardbaxter 2025-07-10 20:30

I just feel that this is such a terrible idea.

kneejerk2022 2025-07-10 20:32

You can't make this stuff up. 3 months ago people started scratching nazi into Tesla's doors, now he's literally putting Hitler's Ghost in a Shell.

CapRichard 2025-07-10 20:33

Took long enough. Weird that Volkswagen and Renault had a chatgpt powered assistant before Tesla. Can't wait for all the influencers video about it hyping it up to the moon.

CareBearOvershare 2025-07-10 20:34

I missed its antisemitic turn. What's that all about?

I would be well pissed off if my car had AI installed into it. especially Nazi AI

HystericalSail 2025-07-10 20:40

The reverse of buying a failing solar business. Tesla is Musk's personal piggy bank.

[deleted] 2025-07-10 20:41

Will Volkswagen be licensing this technology?

phate_exe 2025-07-10 20:44

>Weird that Volkswagen and Renault had a chatgpt powered assistant before Tesla Still not sure what actual value this is supposed to add to a car.

Horny4theEnvironment 2025-07-10 20:44

Can you *opt out* from having the Nazi AI installed in your vehicle?

CapRichard 2025-07-10 20:46

Me neither. I mean, if you have a shitty voice recognition software and you want to at least get to Google Assistant level, might as well go for a modern LLM model, but still other than the useful basic commands, the rest of the functionality is lost to me.

TheRealCabbageJack 2025-07-10 20:46

Install faster! Schnell! Schnell!

TheRealCabbageJack 2025-07-10 20:47

This is going to be like Apple Maps sending people into lakes when it dropped.

low_v2r 2025-07-10 20:47

Goddamnit - take my upvote.

Thecatisright 2025-07-10 20:48

What else would you put in a swasticar.

Apart_Expert_5551 2025-07-10 20:55

What a horrible brand Tesla has now.

0o0o0o0o0o0z 2025-07-10 20:57

"Hey, Grok, what's the best method for killing Jews? Also, can you drive me to get some McDonald's, while playing Mein Kampf on Audible!?"

SiteRelEnby 2025-07-10 20:58

"What direction are the indicators on a swasticar?" "Right, and far-right"

Individual_Agency703 2025-07-10 20:59

Tesla Vision does nazi stop signs.

GatorNator83 2025-07-10 20:59

I see no way this could backfire. Like immediately

curiousitymdg 2025-07-10 21:00

I hope it’s only in new vehicles. Because it will be yet another reason to never buy another Tesla. If it’s being pushed to all near new models say HW3, it’s time to stop installing updates.

SiteRelEnby 2025-07-10 21:01

Wish someone would tell the SEC to close pornhub and do their job.

burnmenowz 2025-07-10 21:02

So push off updating until I can replace it. Got it.

New_Reputation5222 2025-07-10 21:04

Elon Musk is probably safe from the SEC because they were more than likely all fired by...that guy who was in charge of government efficiancy...cant remember his name.

zitrored 2025-07-10 21:04

As a Tesla owner. Think about that one. Long and hard.

Maximum-Objective-39 2025-07-10 21:08

The value is the markup executives think people will accept for taping a chatbot to the car dash.

FirstWithTheEgg 2025-07-10 21:09

Another reason not to touch tesla

Accomplished_Dark_37 2025-07-10 21:10

Fun fact, the SEC has almost no budget at all now after the recent bill passed. That ship has sailed.

0o0o0o0o0o0z 2025-07-10 21:22

Not even sure why this is getting DV'd because it's pretty much on point.

Euler007 2025-07-10 21:26

Might wanna take your kippah off in Austin.

AutismFlavored 2025-07-10 21:27

Who would want to drive around with Grok’s in-your-face interface? “Grok, find me the least congested route to CPAC that avoids Jews as much as possible.”

chance_of_downwind 2025-07-10 21:35

When you ride *alone* you ride with **MECHA-HITLER**

[deleted] 2025-07-10 21:36

If it runs over some kids it can just say, I did Nazi that coming.

TempleSquare 2025-07-10 21:46

What people forget is that rule of law and courts exists to resolve conflict without it resorting to violence. Violence is humanity's default *go-to*. So we set up laws, agencies, and courts to get all of our aggression out in a manner that's seen as "fair enough" by the masses. When our institutions break, it's bad for everyone. Especially the Musks of the world who are pretty outnumbered. He's not likely to experience physical violence, thankfully. But customer financial violence (loss in sales) ? Absolutely!

TempleSquare 2025-07-10 21:48

Es ist alles Komputer

TempleSquare 2025-07-10 21:50

I still scratch my head at the whole "anti-semetric, pro-Israel" political take some like Musk have. That's one of the most upside down positions a person could have, imo.

Maximum-Objective-39 2025-07-10 21:52

The problem here is that LLMs are kinda ill suited for performing a set of rigidly pre-defined tasks. It's a job that doesn't make use of any of their, at least theoretical, strengths in terms of open ended output, while introducing a ton of operating overhead, reliability issues, and debugging nightmares for no real reason. If I have the urge to talk to an LLM in my car . . . I'd just use my phone.

Stellardong 2025-07-10 21:58

He really does know this game better than anyone else…

Zari_Vanguard1992 2025-07-10 22:03

Once Grok is installed, does it automatically lock its doors in brown neighborhoods?

Brokenandburnt 2025-07-10 22:52

Isn't pornhub about to get a federal ban? Both project 2025 and the Christo part of the administration basically calls everyone who goons an incel.\ It also the cause of low birthrates apparently. Not the fact that you _need_ two full income jobs to afford a kid.  But that's their claim anyway, so soon no porn for you!

Brokenandburnt 2025-07-10 22:53

It only accepts payment in Reichsmark.

daveo18 2025-07-10 22:56

Apple in 2009: we’re going to automatically download the new U2 album to everyone iPod. Musk 2025: hold my Ket. I’m going to download a racist chatbot onto everyone’s cars.

Brokenandburnt 2025-07-10 22:57

It makes much more sense if you consider Netanyahu another authoritarian instead of a Jew.

bluethunder82 2025-07-10 23:44

Is this satire or reality? Fuck. Maybe I wasn’t so far off the mark. https://www.reddit.com/r/RealTesla/s/j5vWtfQefy

doomer_bloomer24 2025-07-10 23:51

Why is this such a big news ? Apple CarPlay has had chatGPT integration for a year now via Siri. I bet Android Auto has something similar as well

Ishitinatuba 2025-07-11 00:01

this might explain why Teslas turned down a train line...

practicaloppossum 2025-07-11 00:33

I don't know why Musk would be, but most of those who fit that description are Evangelical Protestants, who understand the Book of Revelations to say that Christ's second coming will happen when there is a king in Israel. Which, of course, means Israel has to exist.

Secret-Revolution172 2025-07-11 00:49

They’re trying to prop the stock

crappydeli 2025-07-11 00:52

I wont pay for their data service, so ideally GROC still won’t work.

nolongerbanned99 2025-07-11 01:02

They must be looking for ways to tank the company. This is one. Starting a political party (or trying and failing) is another and doge was another. Eventually investors will wake up and realize this AH is not a genius. In fact, quite the opposite. Only an ignorant person could be so self unaware.

Hold_Haunting 2025-07-11 01:15

Has anyone noticed since the last update Their Tesla pulls more to the right...

elhondo2 2025-07-11 01:21

Revelation - it's singular. I'd normally let this go without commenting, but that's how you get Dan McClellans.

ad-astra-specta 2025-07-11 01:57

Yes, to the utter dismay of brown Tesla owners.

Maximum-Objective-39 2025-07-11 02:56

IIRC, isn't it supposed to be a direct descendant of King David though? Not sure how you'd verify that one but I get the feeling it doesn't apply to the current iteration of Israel.

Maximum-Objective-39 2025-07-11 02:59

What do you mean? Why is it big new here? Because this is a sub dedicated to mocking Tesla. Why is it big news that Tesla is doing it? Cuz Musk apparently defies all conventional sense as he behaves like one of those severely inbred European Emperors. Why is it a big deal to have LLM integration in your car? Don't know, not sure what the value add is.

wickedsmaht 2025-07-11 02:59

Can I turn off updates?

Shaftmaster420 2025-07-11 03:40

Matazj 2025-07-11 04:58

> Violence is humanity's default go-to This is such a capitalistic view. For 95% of human history humans lived with sharing being the default go-to, because they had to in order to survive. Violence is only the default go-to in the current world we live in. Edit: copied from below to explain what I mean by this: Our society is structured in such a way that violence is the default choice, there is no other option. That doesn’t mean it’s the default choice of humans. The difference is important because if we start attributing behaviors that arise from our social organization to something innate or natural to humans then it becomes hard or impossible to think about alternatives. Societies as in people living in cities have only been around for 5% of human history and tell us nothing about how humans behaved naturally for the other 95%.

This is true for relations *inside* a social unit, not *outside* it. If you think prehistoric humans lived in some kind of kumbaya peaceful wonderland, I have a bridge to sell you. Hell, even troops of chimpanzees go to war with each other.

Matazj 2025-07-11 08:03

What's the point you are trying to make? Even if what you said is true (it's not) that doesn't make it true that violence is the default go-to behavior for humans. > This is true for relations inside a social unit, not outside it No, it's true also for social relations outside of it. Evidently so. Do you have evidence that humans preferred violence over sharing? We have plenty of evidence, even from tribes up to the 20th century, that if humans have the choice they will choose to share or walk away. > There were no rulers, bosses or class divisions in these societies As Turnbull wrote of the Mbuti pygmies of Congo, ‘There were no chiefs, no formal councils. In each aspect of ... life there might be one or two men or women who were more prominent than others, but usually for good practical reasons ... The maintenance of law was a cooperative affair’. [13] People cooperated with each other to procure the means of livelihood without either bowing before a great leader or engaging in endless strife with each other. >Ernestine Fried reported from her studies, ‘Men and women alike are free to decide how they will spend each day whether to go hunting or gathering and with whom’. [14] Eleanor Leacock told of her findings: ‘There was no ... private land ownership and no specialisation of labour beyond that of sex ... People made decisions about the activities for which they were responsible. Consensus was reached within whatever group would be carrying out a collective activity’. [15] Behaviour was characterised by generosity rather than selfishness, and individuals helped each other, offering food they had obtained to other band members before taking it themselves Lee comments, ‘Food is never consumed alone by a family: it is always shared out among members of a living group or band ... This principle of generalised reciprocity has been reported of hunter-gatherers in every continent and in every kind of environment’. [16] > He further reports that the group he studied, the !Kung [17] people of the Kalahari (the so called ‘Bushmen’), ‘are a fiercely egalitarian people, and they have evolved a series of important cultural practices to maintain this equality first by cutting down to size the arrogant and boastful, and second by helping those down on their luck to get back in the game’. [18] An early Jesuit missionary noted of another hunter-gathering people, the Montagnais of Canada, ‘The two tyrants who provide hell and torture for many of our Europeans do not reign in their great forests – I mean ambition and avarice ... not one of them has given himself to the devil to acquire wealth’. [19] > **There was very little in the way of warfare, as Friedl notes: Contests for territory between the men of neighbouring foraging groups are not unknown ... But on the whole, the amount of energy men devote to training for fighting or time spent on war expeditions among hunter-gatherers is not great ... Conflicts within bands are normally settled by the departure of one of the parties to the dispute.** [20] What 'default go-to' is that? > Hell, even troops of chimpanzees go to war with each other. Yet they are a cooperative species that default to sharing and only go to war when it is necessary. > If you think prehistoric humans lived in some kind of kumbaya peaceful wonderland, I have a bridge to sell you. I think you have no idea how prehistoric humans lived and instead of strawmanning me you're free to show me the evidence and proof me wrong. Or are you the one that bought the bridge?

Far_Review4292 2025-07-11 09:13

I cant believe it isn't called Grot yet. Grot and the Elmobile.

Pimpin-is-easy 2025-07-11 09:45

All the examples given by anthropologists are tribal social units with a relatively small number of members and extensive interpersonal relationships. Outside of such a communal polity trust breaks down, and you either have to violently enforce the law (inside a society) or violently enforce your independence (outside a society). There is extensive evidence (for example mass graves) showing that prehistoric neolithic societies were consistently engaging in brutal genocidal warfare. It's a bit more difficult to prove with hunters-gatherers, but examples from both the animal kingdom and recent history (read up on Native American or Papuan warfare) show that violence was an integral part of those societies as well, although generally focused outside them. My point is that your idealistic view of humans is at odds with available historical and anthropological evidence and equating a more sombre evaluation if human nature with capitalism is laughable. Or do you think feudal lords, communist apparatchiks and ancient chieftains based their actions on solidarity and mutual respect? Also sourcing your arguments from marxist.org is less than ideal.

CitronTraining2114 2025-07-11 10:10

Can’t wait for a real life Christine!

Matazj 2025-07-11 11:40

You have not given a single argument or shred of evidence for the claim that “violence is the default”. You don’t even know what my “idealistic view” of humans is, still just a straw man. The only point I’m making is that violence is not the default and it is more nuanced. The irony of you calling that idealistic while the material evidence shows this is laughable. As is your attempt to discredit a source (incorrectly even) without providing any counter argument or evidence. Every single point you made so far I agree with and does not invalidate my point. Tell me this, what evidence would be good enough to convince you that violence is not the default choice for humans? If you can’t tell me that this is pointless.

TheBlackUnicorn 2025-07-11 12:31

In 2016 there was this whole theme of Trump "making the subtext text" or "saying the quiet part out loud" in terms of dogwhistle racism. I think at the time people were saying "the dogwhistle has become a bullhorn". At this point the dogwhistle is a fucking gamma ray burst. Like I don't know how much louder and clearer these people could be screaming "WE ARE LITERALLY NAZIS LIKE WORLD WAR 2 NAZIS"

Makeshift-human 2025-07-11 12:43

Relax. It will only affect the people who still have a Tesla after all that´s happened.

phate_exe 2025-07-11 13:05

>If I have the urge to talk to an LLM in my car . . . I'd just use my phone. This is the big issue I have with *most* tech that's going into new cars - if I want to do that, my phone can probably do it better. And if it can't, the next phone I buy definitely can (along with whatever the next "game changing" feature is), and upgrading to the most current tech only costs a few hundred dollars. The more things a system does/tries to do, the greater the likelihood that it's going to do one or more of them badly enough to annoy users.

phate_exe 2025-07-11 13:08

Before I stopped using it entirely, I think the only things I really used the voice assistant on my phone for were setting timers and attempting to set geofenced reminders.

phate_exe 2025-07-11 13:09

No, the German manufacturers largely got that out of their system 80 years ago.

mishap1 2025-07-11 13:52

Tesla conveniently has $40B cash on hand as of last quarter while spending minimally on their self driving ambitions. Just about the right amount to hand over to Elon to acquire a controlling stake of xAI / Twitter under the auspices of building their AI capability. This is rinse and repeat of SolarCity. Just ignore that Elon moved all the AI engineers from Tesla to his other ventures in a direct conflict of interest. If they had a functioning board, he would have been removed years ago.

mishap1 2025-07-11 13:56

He's going to have Tesla buy xAI soon enough. Tesla has a cash pile still they're not spending on self-driving. Not a peep of their idiotic Cybercab...it's probably sitting next to the bus and the Roadster as the bondo and fiberglass cracks and the tacky gold paint flakes off the tires. He's showing they have "synergy" by putting Grok on. He'll then say vertically integrating them will "save" costs and the board will rubber stamp it.

Hilby 2025-07-11 14:03

I just now realized why: his market share from the Ledt has dwindled so much, that he wants to court the right. So the articles about Grok being what he is was more or less a "push" in an effort to have the right wingers now buy more and take over the market share.

They certainly didn't spend it on self-driving or R&D on their vehicles. Maybe it's all fraud but if he combines all his different frauds, mixes them all around, and sneaks all the tangible valuables out the back, he can kick the can a little bit longer. Combining them also creates some scale for him. Simplifies the lies and the ensuing court cases. It's just smart business.

any anti facist consumer already stopped buying teslas, divested from tesla stock, and when they realize how far right grok is already staying away. I feel like Groks openly PRO hitler stance is by design, as a dogwhistle for all the facists out there to encourage investment into Tsla. More retail money in TSLA is more money for elon to steal from them when the house of cards falls apart At this point All that’s left is institutional investors and fascia retail investors that love the far right grok ai. The whole point of this (and also Elons recent “soap opera out rage with the epstein list) is to essentially attract the commitment from the far right facists retail investors to commit to a xAI Grok “synergy buy out” to create a rug pull for the upcoming share holder vote for xAI. Mean while the institutional investors are just trying to get their money back so they will support any effort to obtain more money from these stupid fascist retail investors. It’s a fucking web of lies and scams. Retail is going to get fucked.
