In Denmark 45% Model Y fails mandatory 4 years inspection, for comparison WV has a 1,8% inspection failure rate. Production quality turned out to be worse than expected, i own a Model Y and wont be buying a tesla ever again.. its not some weird anti US agenda, its just pure and simple, bad quality experience.

It looks like Tesla might be aware if you look at the FY 2025 10-K which shows a significant increase in Tesla's warranty reserve (the "provision"/allowance for warranties and potential recalls, if identified). Total accumulated warranty (balance) will vest in FY 2025 End of 2025: $8.607 billion End of 2024: $6.716 billion → +$1.891 billion (+28%) This is worrying. Let's hope their robotaxi's are more reliable.

Honestly I was really excited to stick with Tesla's but with all the drama and their focus shift away from cars and new models I have no reason to stay with the band.
Clearly they don't care about EVs anymore. Time to go with a brand that cares about their customers and doesn't lie to them for 10+ years straight while taking their money. R2 looks more appealing by the minute.

They’re still increasing the number of superchargers quite rapidly, both sites and stalls. And the energy side of the business is going nuts at the moment, so I can’t imagine they ever remove free supercharging from Model S/X owners, especially since that was a promotional feature when buying the car (for a good chunk of owners)
It’s not a lot of cars relatively, so I’d assume that’s the plan

Get your Y serviced annually or every two years, like legacy cars, and the rate will drop massively. Looseness in the suspension accounts for the vast, vast majority of the inspection failures. It doesn't make the car dangerous to drive and most people won't even notice it (or they would take the car for service). Many people change the worn out parts themselves, spare parts are easily available and cost in the range of tens of euros. Not saying this is fine, but Tesla's policy of not enforcing regular service means many people think their car is not like every single vehicle in the market that requires maintenance every now and then. Then again, I prefer this policy as before Tesla I hated forced regular service visist where you pay 500€ for them to check your "blinker fluids". My MIG MY is by far the most reliable vehicle I've ever owned. Far more reliable than, for example, the german "premiums" I used to drive before. And it's not even close.
How can they start mass production of something nobody has ever really seen, used or put orders for?
Don’t know about the EU, but the tolerance on the rear knuckles is a big issue in NZ - Tesla allow 1mm of slop, NZ regulators (and owners) think that’s crazy and keep failing them at inspection time, heh
Plus the problem space of a home robot is many times more complicated than driving and we still don’t have that. It will be a fancy chat bot that just uses the LLM. Once it can clean, do laundry, and cook, then we will see.
