Candy Canes!

SomethinRad | 2025-12-22 23:52 | 207 views

Interesting thing this evening while on my holiday road trip to Ohio. Stopped at the Cambridge, OH supercharger and was given a candy cane by Tesla employees working at a popup supercharger trailer.

Same! And water! BTW the trailer chargers are the only 250kW. Permanent ones are 150kW

The beloved MegaCharger. It’s a V3 charger duck taped to a Megapack.

Stopped there last week twice! The trailer wasn’t active sadly, but happy to get some sheetz. Great location to have some 250kw chargers going.

The mobile megapack charger set up is wild haha Additionally, its inclusion here is much needed. This set of super chargers is wildly undersized for its location in a charger desert between two major cities. If that’s not bad enough, it’s all V1 which means it fills up fast and quickly lengthens charging time.

At least there is a Sheetz there now. Cambridge used to be an awful stop, especially at night.

A supercharger juxtaposed next to a Dollar General is crazy.

alanjhogan 2025-12-23 07:03

? No, permanent superchargers exist in different wattages, including 72kW, 150, 250, and 325

Are you wrapping presents with electrical tape?!

ObeseSnake 2025-12-23 11:24

You know there is a Golden Corral and empty strip mall close by somewhere.

Disastrous_Brief_360 2025-12-23 11:27

You’re misreading my comment. I’m saying that these specific mobile chargers at this location is 250kW. The permanent ones here are 150kW

Wiltockin 2025-12-23 14:38

How do these show up in Teslas navigation as charging options?

Any-Anything-3343 2025-12-23 15:11

I’ve never seen a mobile supercharger. It’s pretty awesome

PracticlySpeaking 2025-12-23 15:35

lol

PracticlySpeaking 2025-12-23 15:36

Good question! I just want to see a Tesla employee at a Supercharger.

alanjhogan 2025-12-23 16:15

I see. Your comment was quite poorly phrased, so it’s rude to accuse others of “misreading it.”

YOURE_GONNA_HATE_ME 2025-12-23 18:46

It really wasn’t poorly phrased.

alanjhogan 2025-12-23 19:34

Of course it was! He said portable chargers are higher wattage than permanent ones (generally) — that is a valid and in fact normal reading of what he said. It only makes sense if you already know the truth. That’s awful!

Disastrous_Brief_360 2025-12-24 12:05

Get over yourself

Present-Ad-9598 2025-12-24 14:58

It absolutely was poorly phrased😭

sevargmas 2025-12-24 17:25

I’ve never seen a supercharger trailer. What is the story behind this?

Johnvoir007 2025-12-24 20:28

Tesla owners and dollar general= 🤷‍♂️

Civil_Ad6237 2025-12-25 21:20

What’s the reason for the trailer?

cj_sloan 2025-12-26 17:58

The strip mall in the background is in fact empty other than the dollar general. Lol, nailed it.
