Where is this in the app and what version of the app are you on?

Fit-Contribution-578 2025-11-12 05:51

Charging

MoarSocks 2025-11-12 05:53

Yes! I was just about to submit a request they add the option to toggle accessory power in the app. Beat me to it. Thanks, Tesla!

Muhahahahaz 2025-11-12 05:55

Literally just came out. (Version 4.50.5-3608 on my phone) There’s a new “Charging” sub-menu (“tab” as Tesla calls it) that has everything in one place

PresentationMajor925 2025-11-12 06:14

They need to add low power by location

psychoacer 2025-11-12 06:15

Still no button to just start preconditioning though? I would rate the app 5 stars in the play store if they added that

Shygar 2025-11-12 06:33

Ah cool, doesn't look like it's out on Android yet Looks like as of at least 11.13 it's out on Android

the_devils_advocates 2025-11-12 07:14

What’s the use case for this?

BikebutnotBeast 2025-11-12 08:32

If you have a fridge or secondary dashcam, it's beneficial.

RoutinePresence7 2025-11-12 09:14

Wasn’t this already available for a few months now?

bestnicknameever 2025-11-12 09:20

I do this through an iOS shortcut, right on my homescreen. Mich quicker than opening the app, plus i can say „siri, preheat my car“

Braydon06 2025-11-12 10:58

I would like a ”Low power mode only at home” option.

bichicagoguy 2025-11-12 11:49

Not on 2016 model S

phosphor418 2025-11-12 11:57

He's probably talking about battery preconditionning wich is not the same as the cabin preconditionning shortcut. I'm also in a edge case where the supercharger is at 10 min from my appartment and canadian winter is starting where I live. Battery is still cold when I arrive at SC causing slow charging speed. It would be a gift from the gods if I could activate battery preconditionning from the app without being obligated to enter a supercharger in the car navigation app to start the process.

hamburgernet 2025-11-12 14:02

Low power yes, accessory power I don’t believe so

djc590 2025-11-12 15:20

I know you were able to turn on “keep accessory power on” on the charging menu only in the car before this app update

anionyx 2025-11-12 15:41

I had thought under set schedules you could set precondition times and it preconditions the battery and interior. I may be wrong

MoarSocks 2025-11-12 16:07

I keep Starlink in my car. There are times I’d like to toggle it on/off remotely.

psychoacer 2025-11-12 16:49

Yeah but I don't want to precondition every time. I just want it to when I am going to charge it

anionyx 2025-11-12 17:08

When I go to a supercharger my car starts preconditioning as soon as I enter it into navigation. I’m in the US Northeast. It has a message on the screen. I’ll try to take a picture next time I go

Watchful1 2025-11-12 18:28

Yeah but that's not helpful if you live super close to the supercharger and it doesn't have enough time to warm up.

Responsible_Koala118 2025-11-12 20:21

Me too. In the absence of this, I've customized the controls on the main app screen to include the Low Power icon for quick a toggle on/off.

catsRawesome123 2025-11-13 03:15

I installed this version and I only have low power mode what the heck lol

Present-Ad-9598 2025-11-13 03:32

What model and year car do you have?

catsRawesome123 2025-11-13 03:39

22 Y LR, I do have accessory mode power available in the car...

SMLBound 2025-11-13 05:12

Not on 2023 S

Jestered2303 2025-11-13 05:41

Yes, it’s been out for months.

Jestered2303 2025-11-13 05:42

You’re right. This is not new.

Present-Ad-9598 2025-11-13 06:28

Weird. I have a 2018 M3 and have the option in my app.

spovat 2025-11-13 20:28

it's new for the app. you could only do it from the car prior to this release.

drknight09 2025-11-14 03:00

Shocker! 🫩

j_ona 2025-11-14 04:36

When you click the “I” icon beside low power mode, does anything pop up for you?

hamburgernet 2025-11-14 06:24

No, it just darks the screen like a prompt is supposed to be there but nothing shows

onhermajestysecret 2025-11-16 02:08

This is not new

D1stRU3T0R 2025-11-16 19:12

neither on 2018 s

D1stRU3T0R 2025-11-16 19:13

it is lol

hamburgernet 2025-11-17 01:48

How long have you been able to remotely turn accessory power on and off then?

SatinGreyTesla 2025-11-21 03:22

That’s a great features to add!
