The difference is that BYD sale price (\~$20k/vehicle) < than their COGS price, while Tesla sale price > COGS (\~$32k/vehicle). In terms of subsidies, BYD will lose money without subsidies while Tesla could still make money without subsidies. That's a pretty important distinction.

A good 99.9% are open 24/7. There are some I know that close off at night and open really early in the morning. Tejon Ranch, CA and Santana Row, CA are a couple that are closed off for the night that I have come across. Tejon Ranch is basically an outlet mall and they close the main entrance gates to that area at 11PM, and the Santana Row valet superchargers are limited to valet hours.

Where are the 80 super chargers? I only see a handful of stalls around. It's going to be absolutely packed all the time traffic will be nuts and cars will stay too long in the stalls and just eat the congestion charge just to be there.
