I visited there yesterday. The fence was all around it with a guard at each gate and some strange unknown super hero cartoon playing on the screens.

I like space x but where the heck are the movie-movies??? Who wants to want infomercials? Lol
Those screens are insanely tacky. They picked the least visually appealing angle to record the building. What a wreck.
The location feels...odd? Like yeah we made an advanced 7/11, good luck getting in or out tho.
I would have painted it white and silver to match a 50's diner. This looks like a strip club.
Gonna go against the beta males here and say it looks awesome
What’s a beta male?
Surprised it hasn’t been vandalized yet. (Hoping it doesn’t tho…)
I like the style, gives cyberpunk vibes
The terms "alpha male" and "beta male" are often used in pop culture and online discussions, but they lack a strong scientific basis when applied to human behavior.
Wait, this is real? I thought it was AI slop when I saw a pic in some other sub the other day.
Hatin, looks cool.
It does not look cool. This is what happens when a boardroom full of sycophants who have never been cool are left to make the decisions. No risk is taken. Everything is grey. There is no charm, fun, or form - only function. Edit: Adding to my comment instead of replying to a bunch of guys who unironically wear cargo shorts - what was built completely falls short of any kind of retro-futurism, and instead just looks like an industrial grade juicer. You could slap a Kitchenaid logo on that building and it would make more sense
Huge disagree. This design language would be described as "retro-futurism" and represents what people in the 50s and 60s imagined the future would look like. Fallout 3 and 4 use this style. It's a highly optimistic design paradigm that was supplanted by post-modernist, legitimately dystopian trends such as Brutalism that were prevalent in East-European communist countries. *That* is dystopian. This is optimistic.
Nah, it looks cool
So will it be a Shakeys Pizza inside?

Bookmark my post and celebrate this great day! I'm happy for you.
Your Job at the Tesla Diner will be 100% replaced by a robot ASAP.
I already hate those screens with flashy ads.
Which movies offer free license to play inside YouTube advertisement / promo videos?
I think there are three exits, both on each corner and the Supercharger site in the back. It's LA, so if you've ever driven there this is pretty normal.
Not sure if you were joking but this is on the former site of one and if you remember Shakeys used to play movies and old TV shows on a big screen inside.
I like the look personally. Ooops, I forgot your opinion is more valid than everyone else’s so I’ll take it back now !!!
How’s the food?
Well I think it’s cool
I see it differently, too. Tesla stands for clear, Bauhaus-style design. Not colorful and playful. Clear, simple structures. Uncluttered and unfussy. The covered seating areas with the roof are also very functional. It has to be designed so that the cinema screen can be seen from every seating position.
I keep seeing post of this place looking open I drove by 2 days ago and it was still fenced off. I’m I in an alt reality?
I was gonna say this is definitely not Austin
It was open for a moment for a promotional event. Its not officially open yet.
Yep. I used to go to that Shakeys after dance rehearsals at Plummer Park.
A very alpha way of describing the differences between the 2 types.
im skeptical
I feel some greenery on the first floor would go a long way.
But Brutalist architecture IS generally ugly. No sweeping curves, no thoughtful design, intricacy or elegance. How does it not fit?
All this won't matter if Tesla doesn't start putting out some truly new vehicles and soon.
Why not just build a better car?
