Neat. Now add a good infographic that explains whether the charge is being limited by the DCFC or the vehicle. Ideally somehow explain the 800v charging situation which is about to get massively confusing with V4 cabinets.
I’ll get right on it /s
I charged at 2 V4 chargers in Germany today and it showed the same data
I noticed the other day it stated one rate on the screen but my rate was lower in the Tesla screen.
The rate on the screen is for non Tesla vehicles.
Lol
Is there no price displayed?
This is a supercharger? I’ve never seen any displays on them..
V4 have small displays
It displays the price before charging for non Tesla vehicles. For Tesla vehicles they still expect you to check your cars screen For now. I’m sure they’re working on these.
4 digits. It’s displaying tenths of watt hours. That’s quite precise.
What models can leverage the top speed from the V4?
Yeah, Cybertruck is actually the first Tesla that can really take advantage of the V4 Superchargers. It runs on an 800V system, unlike the rest of the lineup, and recently got an OTA update that lets it charge at up to 325 kW on V4 stalls. Realistically, it hits that 325 kW peak when the battery is low (like under 20%) and then ramps down like most EVs. Still, it’s the fastest-charging Tesla so far. Only a few V4 sites support the full 325 kW at the moment, but more are coming. So yeah — Cybertruck’s the only Tesla right now that actually gets close to using V4’s full potential.
Currently, there are no V4 cabinets (the equipment behind the scenes that actually does the work). Only V4 dispensers or stalls using V3 cabinets. So all of these new style dispensers are the same speeds as V3. The only benefit is longer cables and a screen.
V4 stalls have displays, but until now they’ve been inactive.
The same. Austria last year and Czechia this year.
In the US, apparently. They have been enabled at least since summer 2024 in Europe.
Lucky buggers, here in Aus, all the Superchargers near me are still only 120kw max. Most of the time they don't get above double digits.
There are losses in transmission. What gets sent is always higher than what gets stored. This is normal. I have seen the same thing from other chargers, most of which have their own screens.
Even on v3 cabinets, some sites can deliver 300-325kw. So some non Teslas can get more speed.
Hmm, thanks.
It's harder to plug back in the wand though so I dislike using them haha
Most of the V4 chargers have the screens on the side & it’ll pull the charging info data from the car.
I think the new cables also mean less thermal derating due to heat. I think this was a big issue with older v3 stalls
That's honestly perfect. What else would you ask for? And why do other charger manufacturers need to include huuuge screens that are unreadable in the sun anyways, often with some ugly charging graphics because even they don't know what to use the screen space for?
Hopefully. Not sure if the extended length just makes it a wash.
I like the Graphs on ionna charger
I’m hoping they have addressed that. Alpitronic chargers also have long cables – so much so that they have a capable management system – but they are still capable of 400kW charging.
Still no cost? Lol
I know one so far cybertruck has hit 350k.
Yep, same thing at the Brno supercharger.
I was staring at this thinking it was a piece of paper in a glass box for too long. I might need new glasses.
Saw this in the UK when I was visiting last month. They were the first V4's that I saw so I figured it was standard. I was renting a Polestar, 3rd party useage of the V4 charger was easy peasy. All I had to do was applepay and I was charging.
Ballard WA location had the screens active for at least a few months now… didn’t realize it was uncommon!

Can’t say, wasn’t there as a tourist(or a resident) but it did look chill, there were certainly tourists on the streets though.
V4 have displays?! Never noticed... But I guess I never looked for them either.
But still 400V. Nobody charges that fast with 400v architecture.
But 800V requires V4 backend, not only the stall itself, right?
Nice, similar to Rivians!
