Even if it is random, it provides video evidence..

Full self driving took 13 iterations to perform “fairly well. Shouldn’t be called fairly well self driving?
You regards need to learn media literacy. It proves nothing. How many times did they film it? Video spliced? Route planned?
That links to a cybertruck ad for me
Not great not terrible self driving
Fully self-driving capabilities =/= completely perfect driving
That’s pretty impressive
Do a youtube search for FSD in China and find the Channel with the chinese characters for the name. They been uploading daily for awhile now. Edit: for the lazies. https://www.youtube.com/@%E8%B7%AF%E4%B8%8A%E8%B6%A3%E4%BA%8B/videos
Partial fairly well self driving.
mhh and here I am with my 2022 Model 3 in Germany. Last night, it couldn't even change lanes on the autobahn/highway without suddenly disengange in die middle of the lane change. And since the last update autopark is somehow broken, too. The hitbox of the car seems to be 10cm too small to all sides. No joke, if I didn't intervene, he would simply drive into other cars even under optimal conditions while autoparking.
Blame EU regulations not Tesla.
China based here and been in an FSD model 3 myself. This youtube channel's videos are based in Shenzhen. Just a mere 100 miles away where I am, I’ve seen FSD continuously blow through red lights and do tons of reckless shit beyond that. I don’t trust it even a little at the moment. I suspect a lot of the training sim was based on road configurations in larger more organized cities like Shanghai and Shenzhen. edit: typo
What does EU regulations have to do with teslas bad self driving?
The EU version of FSD is not the same as the US version
> I’ve seen FSD continuously blow three red lights and do tons of reckless shit beyond that. Are you talking about Tesla FSD or some other system?
Yes, Tesla FSD in China in a model 3 with HW4. I don't have access myself since my own car is on HW3, but I am not impressed siting in my friends car at all. I think it needs a lot of work, a lot more training on local conditions. Road complexity in China is pretty wild at times, while there is a national standard for roads, enforcement to build to those standards is quite lax. You see a lot more variance in road conditions compared to North America.
Because there is no EU version of FSD… We only have the old Autopilot with Enhanced Autopilot as an option.
FSD is not possible with only sight. Needs radar as well.
That's my point exactly. Complaining about "FSD" performance in EU doesn't make any sense.
No idea, European cars self park just fine here :)
A neural network's performance heavily depends on the quality and quantity of its training data. As far as I know, Tesla hasn’t been permitted to collect road data from its cars in China. In the absence of real-world data, especially in a driving environment that differs significantly, they likely rely on synthetic training data. Seems like it could explain the less than stellar results you've seen. If they can collect that data now, it should improve much sooner than later.
Somewhat self driving
[HW4 vehicles have the new HD Radar installed](https://www.teslaoracle.com/2023/06/19/tesla-teardown-confirms-the-presence-of-the-new-radar-in-hw4-equipped-vehicles/). However, Tesla is probably not using it for FSD yet.

I watched some videos of the gods eye system doing great in china. Have you had any chance to try them out? Wondering they have the same issues but just not shown on videos or are they work better in China.
HW4 cars production started in January 2023. Your Model S is HW3 at best.
"Fairly", a rousing endorsement.

This should've escaped my eye or memory because I have read and written on Tesla almost daily for the last 7-8 years.
https://stocks.apple.com/ALkjFu1I9SHu22Hpqt9AfAw Hits wall. Fundamental flaw with cameras only. Need radar.
Mine faired well on unmarked roads in mountainous areas in California. But that’s California lol
12.6 is nearly perfect for me on HW3. Only issue is it waits longer than I would to start breaking with slowed traffic on highways in front of me. May have something to do with the slower processor. FSD is so vastly better than it used to be. Giving it another year to fully bake (which is realistic based on Cybercab timelines) along with HW4 + possible use of the front camera, I don't see how non political hacks can look down on it. For a first release that was only given a fraction of the real world data due to China's communist paranoia, it's doing damn well. Not 'robotaxi' ready yet, but you can definitely see a trajectory for it. I'd bet about 12-24 months behind the US other than regulatory unknowns.
Then how do you drive with only 2 eyes, when a Tesla has 8 or 9?
More FUD. I watched this video. They purposely painted walls to look photorealistically like a continuing road. So because the car doesn't have Radar to physically measure the distance, it hit it. Something that would/should NEVER exist in real life and something it was never trained for. A youtube clown trying to get views and it worked since it was anti-Tesla. We've seen humans and animals freak when artists paint 3d holes in sidewalks. Why should AI be any different?
Look, I’ve been in the full self driving beta since very, very, very early days and I’ve been through every iteration rigorously. It doesn’t get talked about much here but true full self driving I don’t think is even what people really want. There’s so many personal preferences and driving styles in random anomaly. Is that just don’t make it something I think most people would actually truly want. I think the best tool that they could offer is a very capable driving assistant that still has you behind the wheel. Anyway, the world will implode anyway, so we won’t even care about this for too much longer.
