I found the Terms and Conditions from the Inventory page banner: Order and take delivery of Foundation Series Cybertruck by March 31, 2025 to receive a complimentary XPEL-installed vehicle wrap. Valid on orders placed in the US and CA February 1, 2025 or later. Eligible customers will receive a voucher within 14 days of their delivery date with redemption instructions. Installation must be coordinated directly with XPEL at one of their 125+ authorized installer locations in the US and CA by June 30, 2025. Promotional offer is limited to available color options and includes a 1-year installation warranty through XPEL directly. Voucher will expire if not redeemed by June 30, 2025 and will not be reissued. Offer is only valid toward the purchased Foundation Series Cybertruck, and cannot be redeemed for cash or transferred to another person or vehicle. Offer is subject to change or end at any time.

Man they really wanna get rid of those foundations series trucks haha. If I didn’t live in the city I would get one. But there is no way I can navigate that giant truck around here.

vinashayanadushitha 2025-02-01 20:31

This is a niche product because of the price just like the model S and X. It’s tough for people to pay so much for the car when someone can literally buy a model 3 and Y for cheaper than a foundations series Cybertruck.

Man I really want a Cybertruck but at the price I had originally pre-ordered when they were first revealed. I know that’s no longer a reality so it Looks like I’ll have to wait for a pre-owned one years down the line.

ugahairydawgs 2025-02-01 21:15

Just out of curiosity how much of a value is this?

Fantastic_Train_7270 2025-02-01 21:17

Not enough if you didn't plan to get the 100k truck anyways. It's good for ppl that's undecided tho. Wraps are 2-5k depending on where you live/go

ugahairydawgs 2025-02-01 21:22

Gotcha. I’m not considering it, just curious about much it would cost to wrap something like that.

iceynyo 2025-02-01 21:41

The reason they got so many pre-orders was because the vehicle was supposed to cost as much as a Model Y but have a much longer range... since that didn't materialize it makes sense most didn't convert to actual orders.

Tree0wl 2025-02-01 22:04

This is me. I’m the pre-order that was expecting a low cost practical truck.

Nakatomi2010 2025-02-01 22:13

Neat

mastastealth 2025-02-01 22:35

Yup! Literally my case: wanted 6 seater (thought front was bench) with 350+ mi. range for <$50K (willing to also trade normal car looks for ugly steel tank that can scratch all it wants) - get something worse in almost every aspect. No deal. :(

mjezzi 2025-02-01 22:36

Free wrap plus free lifetime supercharging?

democracywon2024 2025-02-01 22:40

I mean the Cybertruck is a super practical family car. Definitely the most practical EV. I can totally get the demand, just not in my price budget lol.

J-Crosby 2025-02-01 22:43

This is me too, I am watching for a price drop, also considering the lease and buybacks soon after delivery. We will see, but still waiting it out until it makes more sense. Also with the Elon hate, it makes me hold off too, love my Teslas but not an unhinged Elon.

CAVU1331 2025-02-01 23:01

I keep hearing it’s a large truck but when I park next to it in a F-350 it’s tiny. I seem to navigate the F-350 around cities just fine.

Atlanta-Mike 2025-02-01 23:13

Me too. Was expecting “low” for a pickup (as the original prices were announced) and greater range (also as announced). Had those materialized, I was ready to order.

fooknprawn 2025-02-01 23:33

Yup. Canceled both my reservations The price is too high, the features and range are disappointing. Looking at the Sierra Denali which even fully loaded costs less than the Founders CT and has more range (I tow)

nevetsyad 2025-02-02 00:08

I live in the suburbs of a large city. It's like driving an F-150, with the turning radius of a Model 3. It's not bad. First week your brain is freaking out and it's hard to drive. Then, with cameras, all wheel steering, and drive by wire (you don't have to spin the wheel twice to make a U turn or 3 point turn in a parking lot, just \~90 degrees to the left, move, 180 right, move, straighten enough, amazing!).

[deleted] 2025-02-02 00:13

It’s extremely maneuverable with the steer by wire and rear wheel turning! The bumper cam helps a ton also

Cyberdink 2025-02-02 00:40

Large truck compared to a ranger. Regular truck compared to an f150. Light duty truck compared to an f350 super duty

CAVU1331 2025-02-02 00:41

Exactly! Plus, it is really maneuverable with the rear wheel steering. I just wish it had more range so it could tow!

Nakatomi2010 2025-02-02 03:25

Good to know

cublaxican 2025-02-02 04:24

Mine is pretty nimble. Took about 20min after picked up off lot to adjust and become instinctive.

Illustrious-Hand9640 2025-02-02 04:25

How can you still get a foundation series?

ace-treadmore 2025-02-02 04:46

The range came in higher for all but the trimotor

OSUfan88 2025-02-02 05:21

It’s smaller than an f-150

NotHearingYourShit 2025-02-02 06:06

I hate driving my f150 anywhere but the highway. Feels like such a chore, and I can’t see what’s in front on the truck because it’s so tall.

mgd09292007 2025-02-02 06:20

All they had to do with foundation is actually include the original stated range. Theres not enough of a differentiation between founders and regular Cybertruck

[deleted] 2025-02-02 09:43

Free wrap with instant huge depreciation. Get yours before they run out!

Atlanta-Mike 2025-02-02 13:11

Um, yes, correct. $79k for 500+ miles is what was promised for the top of the line model without mention of needing a range extender that eats up 50% of your cargo space. Right now it’s $97,900 for 301 miles.

luceri 2025-02-02 21:33

It's funny, the city is where I see these most.

RazielTheGod 2025-02-03 05:28

Doesnt seem like it

shadowofthecrow5 2025-02-03 11:18

It’s just the wrap. The super charging ended Jan 31st 😔

Blackdragon1400 2025-02-03 14:10

There’s still quite a few left, I’d never get one though because they are older VINs so a much higher rate of issues.

mjezzi 2025-02-03 14:55

Oh, ok, totally not worth it then.

Strict-Palpitation43 2025-02-06 19:49

Isn't it because the car strats to rust? Yeah you should get it for free ...

Organic-Top-2230 2025-02-08 08:42

I took my car trailer there with my X5 and towed my X5 50e back from the Tesla dealership with it on the first drive a couple of days ago. I call it “the walk of shame” as the 50e was a 10 month break from Tesla before I came crawling back. How far are you trying to tow? I plan to tow to racetracks, both about 130 miles in opposite directions. From what I read, I can do that with a single charge, or stop for 20-30 minutes to have a higher charge on arrival. ORV park is 200 miles-ish, ORV Trails in national forest is 80 miles from me. It’ll handle all my towing needs. I’ll just have to stop more if I want to go to Acadia with a trailer. Now, it’s take me about an extra 6 hours over normal to go a 1k mile trip. So now it’s a DC, Philly Reading market, Tarrytown Estate / Manhattan, Boston, Portland, and Acadia trip. More fun! It Tows great. With that 7k lbs or so I averaged 851 kw/mi doing 75mph - 80 mph for 74 miles. Or 1.17 kWh/ mile. 123kw battery = 144 miles range. 129 miles if you want to arrive with 10%.

CAVU1331 2025-02-08 14:34

Just to get to the nearest supercharger in a direction I tow is out of range. We usually are towing steers or feed.

Organic-Top-2230 2025-02-11 17:21

Yeah, that won't work. Even with a range extender, unless you can charge while you "work" at your destination. I ran mine down just to see how long it takes to fill, and on my charger giving 10kw it didn't replenish after being on the charger 10+ hours. It got to 90% from 7% in that time period. it's vital to have a supercharger in route for towing range like that.

Acrobatic_Celery_695 2025-03-27 18:32

The supercharging is back, until Mar31
