panel gap

[deleted] 2025-01-29 01:14

Used one recently in Florida. It was only 150kw to my surprise I think these new designs have longer cable though so maybe it’s to accommodate non Teslas 🤷‍♂️ Also read that some of the new v4s can charge up to 500kw but not for all vehicles

Not a fan of the way the handle has to be put back. It’s finicky

[deleted] 2025-01-29 01:30

Is it wobbly or my eyes?

shocontinental 2025-01-29 01:33

They are 325kW V4 (3.5). Doesn’t help you in the M3 vs older V3 250kW SCs, your max charging speed is 250kW (or 170 or 210 depending on model).

Visvism 2025-01-29 01:42

Not seated correctly.

UnSCo 2025-01-29 02:03

Someone stole half the CCS adapters on the V4 cabinets near me lol.

Supercharger V4. They've been around for a while.

jumponit2 2025-01-29 02:48

Johns Creek?

the1sarcastic 2025-01-29 02:49

Yes. I see you recognized it. Only one of these I have seen in GA

[deleted] 2025-01-29 02:54

It's really annoying.

__JustPeople__ 2025-01-29 02:58

Looks like it's turning tricks!

petrovic3 2025-01-29 02:59

That’s crooked af

Suitable_Switch5242 2025-01-29 02:59

V4 dispenser stalls, the cabinet is still V3. - 325kW for Cybertruck - 250 kW for other Teslas - Built-in CCS adapters (Magic Dock) - Longer cable for charging non-Tesla EVs - Tap-to-pay credit card terminals

Fire whomever installed this thing

[deleted] 2025-01-29 03:46

I'm a super fan in Germany of how well they go back in and stay in. It must be something about the different connectors here vs. there.

Academic_Release5134 2025-01-29 03:46

Yeah because lord forbid a company built of good engineering engineer their newest superchargers better. Have you used it?

the1sarcastic 2025-01-29 03:47

It was.

FreshDiamond 2025-01-29 03:49

It’s almost definitely that. Source: I work there

[deleted] 2025-01-29 03:49

They seemed to have stopped putting in the "permanently installed tire chocks" in Germany. I've been wondering how long it takes until all of the Superchargers have ding marks or worse.

Academic_Release5134 2025-01-29 03:52

Maybe I will get used to it but have used about a dozen times

Any-Anything-3343 2025-01-29 04:06

Someone already back into this one?

Schemebandit 2025-01-29 05:20

They need to bring them in my area

Magnetoreception 2025-01-29 05:23

I like it better than the older cabinets that just fall out.

reddittomarcato 2025-01-29 05:46

It’s so powerful trying to take flight

the1sarcastic 2025-01-29 06:25

🤣

Jimtonicc 2025-01-29 06:34

The ones I was using in Germany were annoying as well.

Tookmyprawns 2025-01-29 07:57

325 for about 2 minutes if fully empty.

aliomenti 2025-01-29 08:14

Really? You use CCS2 like the UK. Every time I pull into a V4 Supercharger, half the cables are lying on the floor where they have fallen out.

bphase 2025-01-29 08:49

It's not the fault of CCS2 however really (though it is heavy), every other charger here (Finland) uses that too without the cables lying around. The plug holder is just poor quality or design.

xbeetlejuiice 2025-01-29 11:21

Yeah, they are. V4 dispensers are way worse than v3. Longer, thicker cables are much heavier, I really enjoyed the easy plugging in of the v3 cables.

MusicAromatic505 2025-01-29 13:42

We have those here in Phoenix, not far from where I live. I haven't seen them on any of my interstate travels. I might give the ones here in town a try just to see how well they function.

ymjcmfvaeykwxscaai 2025-01-29 14:25

Has anyone tested whether or not they are capable of doing 325kw for other non tesla vehicles? Increasing throughput seems useful as we see more vehicles use superchargers

[deleted] 2025-01-29 16:27

It's in spec.

popornrm 2025-01-29 21:54

Whomstever*

[deleted] 2025-01-30 00:39

Swasticharger.

-frObot- 2025-01-30 01:46

They’re way heavier

ILoveWhiteBabes 2025-01-30 04:33

What’s the output with V4 cabinets? And will Model 3 get higher than 250 kW?

ILoveWhiteBabes 2025-01-30 04:34

Which one is 250 and 210?

start3ch 2025-01-30 05:00

Pull through stalls?

Suitable_Switch5242 2025-01-30 05:40

V4 cabinets are 500kW at 1000V. I wouldn’t expect improvements for existing Model 3/Y, they are mostly limited by the battery not the charger.

shocontinental 2025-01-30 05:57

The Long Range and Performance are 250. There was a mid range RWD that was 210. Short Range are 170.

[deleted] 2025-01-30 06:13

Two of them were already broken. One couldn’t unlock and the other, shit just fell out when i was going to charge.

ILoveWhiteBabes 2025-01-30 06:15

Gotcha thanks. Can LR ever do higher than 250 kW? I remember Electrify America being 350 kW chargers but no Tesla ever got that high.

ILoveWhiteBabes 2025-01-30 06:16

So really it’s just meant for Cybertruck I guess to avoid one-hour 20–80% charge times. Most CTs don’t even haul anything lmao, they are just super not aerodynamic and heavy.

shocontinental 2025-01-30 06:34

People have reported 256kW on these, I’ve seen it on my MYLR, that was before they upped them to 325 but I doubt they go much higher than that as they only officially support 250.

Logitech4873 2025-01-30 11:34

Nice! The rest of Europe has been slowly getting these over the past 2-3 years. How is the charger infrastructure generally in Georgia? I had no idea they even had Tesla there.

FunkyTangg 2025-01-31 00:57

Looks so crooked

Confident-Door3461 2025-01-31 11:47

CTS are literally designed to be aerodynamic, the chevy silverado has double the battery yet only has 110 miles more range.

ILoveWhiteBabes 2025-01-31 14:43

What’s the cd difference?
