panel gap
Used one recently in Florida. It was only 150kw to my surprise I think these new designs have longer cable though so maybe it’s to accommodate non Teslas 🤷♂️ Also read that some of the new v4s can charge up to 500kw but not for all vehicles

Not a fan of the way the handle has to be put back. It’s finicky
Is it wobbly or my eyes?
They are 325kW V4 (3.5). Doesn’t help you in the M3 vs older V3 250kW SCs, your max charging speed is 250kW (or 170 or 210 depending on model).
Not seated correctly.
Someone stole half the CCS adapters on the V4 cabinets near me lol.

or maybe a car backed into it.
Lol

Supercharger V4. They've been around for a while.
Johns Creek?
Yes. I see you recognized it. Only one of these I have seen in GA
It's really annoying.
Looks like it's turning tricks!
That’s crooked af
V4 dispenser stalls, the cabinet is still V3. - 325kW for Cybertruck - 250 kW for other Teslas - Built-in CCS adapters (Magic Dock) - Longer cable for charging non-Tesla EVs - Tap-to-pay credit card terminals

Fire whomever installed this thing
I'm a super fan in Germany of how well they go back in and stay in. It must be something about the different connectors here vs. there.
Yeah because lord forbid a company built of good engineering engineer their newest superchargers better. Have you used it?
It was.
It’s almost definitely that. Source: I work there
They seemed to have stopped putting in the "permanently installed tire chocks" in Germany. I've been wondering how long it takes until all of the Superchargers have ding marks or worse.
Maybe I will get used to it but have used about a dozen times
Someone already back into this one?
They need to bring them in my area
I like it better than the older cabinets that just fall out.
It’s so powerful trying to take flight
🤣
The ones I was using in Germany were annoying as well.
325 for about 2 minutes if fully empty.
Really? You use CCS2 like the UK. Every time I pull into a V4 Supercharger, half the cables are lying on the floor where they have fallen out.
It's not the fault of CCS2 however really (though it is heavy), every other charger here (Finland) uses that too without the cables lying around. The plug holder is just poor quality or design.
Yeah, they are. V4 dispensers are way worse than v3. Longer, thicker cables are much heavier, I really enjoyed the easy plugging in of the v3 cables.
We have those here in Phoenix, not far from where I live. I haven't seen them on any of my interstate travels. I might give the ones here in town a try just to see how well they function.
Has anyone tested whether or not they are capable of doing 325kw for other non tesla vehicles? Increasing throughput seems useful as we see more vehicles use superchargers
It's in spec.
Whomstever*
Swasticharger.
They’re way heavier
What’s the output with V4 cabinets? And will Model 3 get higher than 250 kW?
Which one is 250 and 210?
Pull through stalls?
V4 cabinets are 500kW at 1000V. I wouldn’t expect improvements for existing Model 3/Y, they are mostly limited by the battery not the charger.
The Long Range and Performance are 250. There was a mid range RWD that was 210. Short Range are 170.
Two of them were already broken. One couldn’t unlock and the other, shit just fell out when i was going to charge.
Gotcha thanks. Can LR ever do higher than 250 kW? I remember Electrify America being 350 kW chargers but no Tesla ever got that high.
So really it’s just meant for Cybertruck I guess to avoid one-hour 20–80% charge times. Most CTs don’t even haul anything lmao, they are just super not aerodynamic and heavy.
People have reported 256kW on these, I’ve seen it on my MYLR, that was before they upped them to 325 but I doubt they go much higher than that as they only officially support 250.
Nice! The rest of Europe has been slowly getting these over the past 2-3 years. How is the charger infrastructure generally in Georgia? I had no idea they even had Tesla there.
Looks so crooked
CTS are literally designed to be aerodynamic, the chevy silverado has double the battery yet only has 110 miles more range.
What’s the cd difference?
