Please keep in mind that this is only for 11/3/2024. On Monday we will go back to normal. Each post will have a flair as "No shame Sunday" for those that want to filter it out. If you are a seller or app dev and want a flair next to your username please let us know via modmail. I absolutely adore my cybertruck. I know it is polarizing, but I just don’t care. I didn’t buy it for anyone but me. And I just think it is freaking cool.

[deleted] 2024-10-24 00:43

I agree, it is freaking cool and groundbreaking!

sowaffled 2024-10-24 00:46

As more CTs hit the road and election season ends, the obsessive haters will hopefully settle down. There’s nothing wrong with enjoying things in life.

restarting_today 2024-10-24 01:20

It’s not for me but you do you dude!

I wish more people were like you. Thanks awesome human for restoring my faith!

Shygar 2024-10-24 02:39

Same here!

spennnyy 2024-10-24 02:50

Funny how little comments there are here on positive topics.

krazykanuck30 2024-10-24 03:08

I had the opportunity to play around in one. Wow, so much room, so clean and practical, really excellent cabin feel. If it wasn't so big for my garage....

ahhsumpossum 2024-10-24 03:30

You take your even keeled positive opinion and get the hell outta my cave of despair!

CacsTech 2024-10-24 03:38

Now that they have the extra cash, maybe Tesla will finally get around to sending me the refund they still owe me from when I cancelled my reservation back in July… 🙃

ChunkyThePotato 2024-10-24 03:40

People love outrage.

cold_rush 2024-10-24 03:41

I think they are cooking the books. Overflow lots are full of cybertrucks these days.

cold_rush 2024-10-24 03:42

I got it back very quickly - something is wrong. You should follow up.

CacsTech 2024-10-24 03:49

Yeah, they’re not being very responsive via text, and when they are being responsive, they’re not helpful. They just give canned responses of refunds take 6-8 weeks. lol. At this rate, they mind as well change that response to 6-8 months. I’m in Rochester, NY area and with the closest sales showroom being in NYC (~6 hours away), it’s quite difficult to get down there just to speak to someone in person. There’s also no way to get ahold of anyone by phone call. I actually had to make a trip recently down there for something else and decided to stop in to see if someone can help. I found out they didn’t have an address on file to mail the refund check. I provided that earlier this month and am still waiting.

rotarypower101 2024-10-24 04:40

Will be interesting if many of the features on CT come to something like a Model 3 successor. Really would like the V2X functionality, as well as the 800V architecture, as it seems to be where we are going, and many of the vehicles that are using 800V seem to be able to clearly exceed the charging abilities of the 400V architecture...despite not seeming to be a significant factor according to many.

Big_Balls_DGAF 2024-10-24 04:47

That's pretty fast isn't it? They started delivering these last November, December?

jschall2 2024-10-24 06:04

Reddit in shambles.

starshiptraveler 2024-10-24 06:27

Those are all being delivered to owners. They’re still selling them as fast as they can make them.

They’re just lying in wait for the next thing to hate on.

bengosu 2024-10-24 07:19

"according to Tesla" LMFAO. Let's see the earnings report

AggressiveBench9977 2024-10-24 08:09

End of the day all that matters is how you feel. Gald you love your car!

AggressiveBench9977 2024-10-24 08:13

Couldnt it just be explained by them charging 15k extra to sell the already overpriced car as the founders edition.

beerbaron105 2024-10-24 10:53

I cannot wait to own one, unfortunately it's still too expensive

dwiedenau2 2024-10-24 12:48

Its also like 95.000$ instead of the promised 39.000$

VirtualLife76 2024-10-24 13:31

No too good at thinking obviously. No lots are overflowing, especially if you want to compare to regular dealers.

MCI_Overwerk 2024-10-24 14:05

They always did this. Sell as high as it can fly for as fast as you can make it. When prod is slow and undergoing bottleneck and issues, sell at high price. As that speeds up, lower price to match demand. It literally was the case of every Tesla vehicle ever. The highest trims and highest prices always had priority. CT was popular enough to allow selling foundation series for far longer than anticipated

lurkingtonbear 2024-10-24 14:11

Nice, just in time to run out of all the people who have signed up over the last 6 years to get one. So now that they’re done with all those customers, who is gonna keep buying them?

lurkingtonbear 2024-10-24 14:13

Thats exactly how it should be. I would feel the same way, if it was at least a safe vehicle that was anywhere near the original advertised price. Given its lack of safety compared to the other models though, it’s a no just from that alone. I love the look though.

s2ksuch 2024-10-24 14:39

Nice!

fifichanx 2024-10-24 15:14

Try disputing it with your credit card.

CacsTech 2024-10-24 15:18

I’d love to do that, but the bank won’t allow me to dispute a nearly five year old transaction. 😢

fifichanx 2024-10-24 15:39

That sucks!

Specific_Way1654 2024-10-24 16:36

is there any chance of a $40k cybertruck ever or is $60k proly the new floor

Ormild 2024-10-24 17:58

Sometime I feel like I have to step away from Reddit. Seems like every other post on the regular subreddits is just bashing cybertruck, saying how ugly it is, saying how no one is buying it, how unprofitable it is, but then I see a post from someone like you and it just makes be realize that a lot of Redditors just love to hate. Happy to see you enjoying your purchase. Haters gonna hate.

ChunkyThePotato 2024-10-24 18:15

I would be surprised if the floor is below $50k. There has been a lot of inflation since the $40k price was announced.

ChunkyThePotato 2024-10-24 18:17

Seethe.

Jiggah3rtz 2024-10-24 19:23

Same! I love my Beast, nothing on the road compares. Amazing vehicle!

Jiggah3rtz 2024-10-24 19:25

Steer by wire is a game changer too. I hate driving normal cars now. Such an awesome driving experience.

mfloui 2024-10-24 20:11

You are probably right 60k sounds the most reasonable floor.

hayenn 2024-10-24 20:16

There probably won't be a single motor version so no. The dual motor (AWD) version was announced at $49.9k in 2019, which would equal to $61.5k in 2024 after inflation. Today it costs $72,490 after incentives, so about a +18% higher than the announcement.

AttackingHobo 2024-10-24 22:00

It's also like there was a pandemic and record inflation since it was announced. And PS, its $80k not $95k?

ElGuano 2024-10-25 03:34

Not sure about 800v, but rumors are the Y refresh (Juniper) will have 48v and possibly steer by wire. The whole reason Tesla made CT 48v is to start pushing all their cars in that direction.

AllCommiesRFascists 2024-10-25 05:40

I hope you shorted

Beachtrader007 2024-10-29 02:50

I stalk them because they look like fun to me. Not a truck guy but it makes me want to play mad max

Beachtrader007 2024-10-29 02:50

Does it fit in a regular garage? I heard they shrunk it down a few inches from the original specs. Was that enough?

Beachtrader007 2024-10-29 02:51

Has NHTSA tested the cyber truck? I know every other tesla model rated as the safest cars on the road by NHTSA

Beachtrader007 2024-10-29 02:51

Thats fair!

haarschmuck 2024-10-30 23:37

Excuses, excuses.

[deleted] 2024-11-02 12:34

That’s awesome! I test drove one at the service center a few days ago and I’m itching to get my hands on one
